I had a crack on my windshield and the quarter window (trunk of my crv) was shattered. I called safelite and the quote was $870. Yikes. Looked at Yelp and I noticed 1st Choice was rated high. I was skeptical about the reviews cuz c'mon, who gets a near perfect score of 5.0 in Yelp? Read the reviews, filtered out the ones with zero friends, read for sure the ones from the elite members and so I gave them a try. What I like: 1: excellent communication. They texted me when they started working on my car, when the tint didn't match ( we got it tinted when we purchased the car) 2. They were very accommodating. They offered to fix it at my workplace but parking sucks at Ventura city Hall so I asked if I can just drop off my car at their business location (Saturday - Memorial Day weekend) 3. The work was clean/flawless. They even put my parking sticker back and the reminder sticker from the oil change company. 4. And woohoo! I only paid $490. Compared with the other vendors I contacted, even the mobile ones, 1st Choice were responsive and did a solid job replacing my front windshield. Price-wise they are on the higher side, but you get what you pay for! I'd prefer going to the shop since they have all the tools and parts there so they do it right! They even had to run to auto parts store to get extra stuff for mine (and charged me for them, of course). Mine took about 90 mins and the seating area was airy (outside), with a huge farm across the street, so it's not congested, quite peaceful and I got a lot of work done.
