Could it be any more annoyinh when a rock kicks up on the freeway and cracks your windshield? The worst! Luckily Safelite made the repair/replacement process as painless as possible. I got a quote online, they helped me get insurance to cover the cost (minus my deductible), and they came to my work to replace the windshield the next day. The technician was knowledgeable, professional, and quick! The whole replacement process took less than 2 hours and the windshield looks amazing. The price was reasonable although windshields are pricey these days because of the technology/sensors, etc. I will for sure recommend Safelite to others. Thanks Safelite!!! read more

The staff at this location were rude to deal with and their customer service was straight TRASH After my replacement was done, they returned my vehicle to me still a mess with glass fragments and paper towels on my passenger seat and floor boards. I asked to speak to the onsite manager and they acted completed put out that I even asked them to clean up their mess. I was recommended by Angel Navarro at Kirby Kia to take my Kia Sportage in for a tiny impact point on the passenger side on 7/7/2024 that they could repair for a marginal cost. I made an appointment online and got to the Camarillo location. The lady at the desk asked for my key and a credit card, after which my car was taken in. About 20 mins later I was summoned to the car. I was told that when they applied pressure to apply the resin a "crack out" occurred and now I need to replace the entire windshield. The mechanic said "that's in our policy that it can happen, did the girl at the desk tell you?" NOPE, she never spoke to me other than "Key and we need a credit card". So here I am with a leased vehicle that had a dot on the passenger windshield that is now a 14" crack!! These people are crooks and scammers looking to make more money instead of fixing a small issue. The mechanic then said "well you can replace it with OEM or cheaper windshield we can give you a quote and get it done today?" DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED and end up with a bigger problem than you had. I get an email days later stating the cost is going up by $125.00, and there can be even more costs. This is specifically aimed at this local branch and shouldn't reflect on the whole company. My experience with this branch has been horrible. After rescheduling because someone canceled my previous appointment on the day of, I wait until four to just find out that my tech already went home. The customer service at a corporate level is amazing but the work that's done at the local level is horrible and it's absolutely unacceptable. I set aside five hours specifically for safelight and felt completely disrespected. I respected their time and they don't seem to care about others. I wish I read the reviews before I even thought about getting their help. Horrible company. Strung me along for 7 hours and never showed for their scheduled appointment. Glitch in their system caused my insurance claim to be switched to cash, excuse me I'm not giving you $1,000 when It's covered by my insurance. They finally rectify it and claimed the tech would come back to replace the windshield (since we were now well out of the 4 hour window they had provided). Several hours later and still no safelight so I called to find out he is not coming. No one called, no one was honest in what the issue was, everyone kept saying it was "taken care of" when it clearly wasn't. I'm stuck on the road and still no windshield. I got my windshield repaired yesterday the smallest crack at the bottom right of my windshield. Went to my car after work and there are now lines from where the guy "expanded" my windshield. My car is expensive any newer 2024 model has to have their windshield re calibrated if that crack gets any worse. NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR IT?! From the start. Good thing for Google maps, not an easy place to find in Camarillo. Now I made it in the door being I was there first appointment of the day. The receptionist was so damn nice and easy to talk with. I had a couple of questions and she promptly called the installer which reassured me on my concerns about the glass installation. The facility in general was extremely clean, and that's an understatement. The technicians are two brothers, and if I remember correctly have been installing auto glass for over 15+ years. That's a good feeling right there knowing just that. My front windshield was removed, new one installed, and the ADAS Camera Calibration completed and tested in 2-1/2 hours. I do NOT have PROFF but they dotted my front window so it would break. Two days after I got my new window I was just through town. Nothing hit my window and it cracked on the passenger side. I took it back to Safelite and the guy who changed it came out and went straight to the passenger side and showed me a little dot that created the crack and told me something hit it right there. I told him where I was. I told him NOTHING hit my window. I just left I was going to get NO where with this guy. I know business is slow but to dot a window for more business is NO good. I made an online appointment and showed up early to drop off my truck. Front desk guy told me before I had even checked my truck in (guess he saw me drive up?) that he saw rust and it might not be possible to replace the windshield. There was indeed some superficial rust on the roof of my truck, but definitely not in the windshield region. They said they would evaluate and call me back. I left and later received a call from them saying they had cut away a small section of the seal in the windshield channel to evaluate for rust and there was corrosion in the channel. I went over to pick up my truck and took a look at the section they had trimmed away....no corrosion. Asked the kid (Joseph) who was doing the work to show me the corrosion in the windshield seal channel and he pointed to some residual adhesive. I pointed out that it was adhesive, but that didn't matter to him, he had already made up his mind that he was not going to do the windshield, started making up other problems like seeing non-existent cracks, etc. so I just took my truck home. I wanted to prove to myself that there was absolutely no rust in the channel so I completely sanded down all of the superficial rust on the roof and pulled away the seal to expose the channel...zero rust. Some dirt, but absolutely no rust. Now, it's not really a big deal, I can always find someone else to get work done, but when you show incontrovertible evidence to someone that their assessment is incorrect, and they still refuse to adjust their position, that's just someone unwilling to make necessary corrections to satisfy the original customer need (e.g. replace the windshield). I recommend that Safelite conduct better training for your technicians and give better guidance on actual safety related concerns for installation. If there was a real issue, I most certainly would have thanked them for pointing it out and completed repairs, but there was none and it resulted in an unnecessary inconvenience. Decided to take my truck over to 1st Choice Auto Glass. They saw no issue and are installing the glass as I write. Too bad...I have used this Safelite location before with no problems. Having a couple of more seasoned workers on site might make a difference. read more

I asked them to please be careful when getting in the car because I've had a few people hit them with their knees when getting in/out the car. I wasted a week for an appointment and instead of choosing a time I elected to drop my car off early morning and get notified when it was ready. Since I can't afford to take time off work I made arrangements with a coworker to pick me up at 4am at Safelite, I waited until 1:45pm and called after not hearing anything all day and was told the technician was working on another vehicle and mine would be worked on at 3:30PM, the latest scheduled time. What was the point of dropping it off early before any other appointments if it was going to be worked on last? This was a waste of my day and had to use up my coworkers time for nothing. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. I had a minor crack on my windshield and needed to get it replaced so I did, no big deal. After installation, I noticed some of my notifications on my dash were going off regarding service for my COLLISION CONTROL SYSTEM (huge safety issue) and CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM (which both sensors are located in the rearview mirror.) So, I scheduled an appointment and went back to have them fix it. WELP, the technician told me that one of the other technicians had bumped something during removal of the windshield and that I had to go to the dealership to have it fixed AT THEIR EXPENSE, ON THEM (admission of fault.) OK, SO I take it to the dealership as instructed, and it turns out it would be $1500.00 to fix the problems and reset the system to make those notifications go away. Safelight didn't want to pay that. I brought my car in, in one condition and left with it in another. They avoided my phone calls intentionally multiple times. When I did get through, the rude lady who answered phones in the office was so insulting and unprofessional, she had the audacity to tell me "I'm not so sure what you're not understanding here." OH WHAT? EXCUSE ME??? Such a joke, poor customer service and communication skills. The store manager Nikki played dodge-my-phone-calls UNTIL I got a hold of the district manager, and HE WAS JUST AS USELESS. To avoid dealing with my husband and I, he passed me back off to Nikki. Nikki has no explanation and has no idea on why this happened TILL THIS DAY. Nikki sends me this bogus document made on Microsoft Word claiming it was a report from one of their computers that scans the vehicle "before" the work is started on the vehicle, and she says the problems "PRE-EXISTED," before they did the work. Well that's funny because I used cruise control on the way to the first appointment, and I had not seen those specific notifications EVER come up before on my dash. Well mysteriously the time stamps on the sent document DO NOT LINE UP WITH THE TIME I HAD THE WORK DONE. HMM. When I brought this to Nikkis' attention she had no idea why they didn't match up and she didn't want to say anything that could "make them liable." The District manager has NEVER followed up, checked in or GIVEN two *cares* about the situation...RED FLAG. Neither has store manager Nikki. Safelight refuses to fix the problem. The commercial is 1000% false advertising because I am unsatisfied and the job is unfinished and I have no answers from them or anyone. I feel like I'm at a complete dead end. I've even called other windshield replacement companies and dealerships, and say it is directly related to the sensors in the rearview mirror (I'm aware there are two points of sensors, one in the front bumper as well) and that something had to have happened during installation but Safelight fails to acknowledge that. I took my car in for a Wind Shield replacement and it was replaced quickly during my appointment. However, upon picking it up the windshield was whistling. They took my car on a test drive and found that it was indeed whistle and made a best guess that the wind shield might have a slight tilt upon installation and wasn't oriented appropriately. We had to make an immediate claim on the warranty for the wind shield but now I have to wait a week for the adhesive to "dry" on a wind shield that was "professionally" installed. The cost was pretty low, but so was the result quality. If you are looking for quick cheap work, get it done here; but with fair warning. For perspective, this is not a one time thing. While I was in the lobby two other customers complained of the same whistling issue. Buyer beware: A 3 hour install can take weeks for them to correct. For the "customer service" that is replying to posts. Those one liners apologizing will not work. I would like a resolution with more effort on your behalf. My AAA insurance representative recommended I take it to a Safelite AutoGlass because they are certified repair shop for AAA. I made the appointment at this Camarillo location on Maya Linda. I have had Safelite fix my windshield in the past and they were always excellent in both quality and service. However this was my first time going to this location. What a terrible experience. My appointment was at 1pm. The representative said it would take 2.5hours to fix the windshield and recalibrate the sensors. I figured I'd go for a long walk and just wait for the repairs. After 3 hours I returned to the repair shop and inquired about the status of the repair. The front desk lady said a tech will be out to see me. The tech comes out and says first that they have had an issue getting some serial numbers or some other vague issues that delayed the repair. The tech says it will be another 45min to an hour. I'm not thrilled by this news but what choice do I have. Then the tech says he's really sorry but they are really backed up and busy today. So which is it? Did they have issues with some serial numbers or were they backed up and overbooked with appointments? The whole explanation seems disingenuous at this point but whatever. Not a big deal, at this point it's 3pm and my next appointment isn't until 5pm so I have time. So I wait. After I wait the extra hour I ask the front desk lady about the status to my vehicle. She returns and says it's going to be another 25-30min. At this point I am going to be late for my next meeting. The point is if it's an all day fix and will be ready at 5pm then tell the customer that. I was upset but joking with another customer that it felt like the movie Beetlejuice and it's an all day thing blah blah blah. The front desk lady Yevette came up to me and accosted me. Yevette is very rude and hostile. The tech Adrian is very nice and professional. Was referred to Safelite by Kemper Insurance to replace my window in 2023 Landrover Defender. (For the record, Kemper has ownership in Safelite). Go to scheduled appointment on March 8th. It is a 50 minute drive from my house. I am informed when I get there that they can see my work order but don't have a confirmed appointment and also didn't have the windshield but would order it and come to my house the following Friday due to me being "inconvenienced". I clear my calendar. Around 1:30 that FridayI call Safelite and they tell me they have nothing scheduled. Now I am just a little peaved. Ask to speak to the manager Jesus who refuses to get on phone. He is in a meeting I am told. Instead I am passed off to Jessica who tells me that they don't have the right window but would order it and confirm on Monday that the window was in. I get an email from Kemper who my broker went to that I am confirmed for an appointment on Tuesday at 10. I call and confirm that with Jerr (?) on Saturday. At this point I just want it done and don't care if I have to drive to Camarillo again. Jessica calls on Monday and says they don't have the windshield in yet but would call to confirm it was coming in. Also could not schedule an appointment to come to my house because they were having issues with the "software". Ask to speak to the manager Jesus again and he is "busy". I get a call again from Jessica who informs me the window is in and I. An either come in Friday the 22 of March or wait until they can schedule an appointment to my house. I begrudgingly agree to come in Friday for a 12 pm appointment. Have confirmed everything at this point because I trust no info I am getting from this place. Model number of car, check. It is in. No worries. Drive down to their Camarillo location again. Don't even bother bringing any info because there is no way a company. An be anymore incompetent. Get there. Person at front desk checks me in. Goes to look at the windshield. Goes into the warehouse. Comes out and tells me they ordered the wrong windshield. I ask for him to get Jesus. "Jesus is in a meeting". I don't care. He has a mistreated customer out here, ask him to come out and explain how this can happen. He refuses to come out. Technician tells me Jesus will call me in an hour. It is 48 hours later and I haven't heard from Jesus or anyone else at Safelite. I wasted 3 days of my life with this company and about 6 hours on the phone between them and Kemper. I could write for hours about this experience. Use anyone but Kemper. No way you can trust their work. Jesus would be fired if he worked for me. 2 minutes with me and maybe I don't write this review. My windshield still isn't fixed. Clearly they are not professional enough or are too embarrassed (that would mean they care so doubt it) to call me and make things right. Wish I would have checked Yelped before booking here. My insurance company recommended this place to repair my broken windshield. Booking was easy. The day of was an absolute disaster. I'll save you most of the details, but the nutshell is that they did not communicate huge delays of many hours. Nobody seemed to care. I asked about an ETA several times and never got a straight answer. After I had been there for four hours, the woman at the desk told me she would go talk to the manager to find out why I was 3 hours behind and then she literally got up and left for the day. I watched her get in the car and was laughing at how absurd it was. I had to walk into the shop to get anyone to talk to me. I would not have waited if I had known it would take 6 hours for the replacement, but they told me 2 hours and never updated me. Then they called after to ask me to give them five stars when I got the survey. Ha. Try earning five stars. I recently had a pinecone drop from a tree in front of my house and unfortunately it cracked the windshield on my vehicle. I called my insurance company and the damage was covered under a comprehensive claim. In order for the claim to be submitted through insurance, I still needed to pay a few hundred out of pocket, but it was a subsidized cost to get a brand new windshield. My insurance set me up with Safelite AutoGlass, a 3rd party vendor that was very efficient the entire process. I initially received an email confirming my scheduled appointment and they were very helpful when I had to call and reschedule due to a scheduling conflict with work. When I showed up the morning of my appointment, Amanda at the front desk was super helpful. She got me registered and showed me where the coffee, restroom and customer waiting area was. A technician (Gabino) came to speak with me before taking my vehicle back and we did a walkthrough together to ensure there was no damage to my vehicle before they began replacing my windshield. I was given a 2-3 hour approximate wait time and they did really good at getting me out of there promptly. Upon completion, Gabino assisted me in taking payment and doing a final walkthrough about my new windshield. He went over their warranty and the do's and dont's for the 24 hours after window replacement. One thing that really left a lasting impression with me was Safelite's honesty entrusted in their employees. I was originally quoted a certain dollar amount which included parts, labor, etc. I was totally ok with the price as it was very reasonable for a brand new windshield. When Gabino was ringing me up, he told me I was going to receive a $7.94 credit back to my card for a part that my vehicle didn't actually need, but that they had originally charged me for. He discovered it after the fact and let me know about the error and the new/lesser price I would be charged. I was very thankful to get a few bucks back and for the honesty I was provided as the customer. My experience was absolutely wonderful and I appreciate the professionalism and efficient work of everyone involved. read more

Safelite is not capable of properly installing windshields and they are not able to properly return the vehicle safety equipment to the original manufacturers provided safe driving condition. They have caused damage to the cruise control system and will not take any responsibility for the damaged safety system that they have caused to malfunction. RECOMMENDATION: Find an alternative windshield repair/replacement company and you will be far better off. I had a terrible experience with this Camarillo branch of Safelite. After many weeks of re-scheduling and having the Safelite technician not show up to the confirmed appointments I ended up speaking to the manager of the Camarillo shop. She provided excellent Customer Service but ultimately the time scheduled (after three missed appointments) Safelite did not have the materials needed to fulfill the work order. I ended up canceling my work order with this vendor after many attempts to get a window replaced and many weeks of waiting. I dont understand how this company spends so much money on advertisement and is not able to complete a simple task of replacing a car window which is the main service the company provides.
