I literally do not have the words to describe how disappointing of an experience it was dining here. We came on a Saturday at 10:30 ish, naturally it was very busy, no big deal at all. The employee who took our order was disinterested, seemed very annoyed and wasn't very pleasant. Also fine because I'm sure it was a stressful day. The barista guy was super nice though. First complaint is the prices. They are UNNNNNBELIEVABLE!! I got an American breakfast plate ($15) and asked if I could sub the sourdough for anything because I'm gluten free, she said no, so I just said ok take it off and asked for an extra egg. The egg was $3.50 LOL! I got an iced latte as well and my total was $27. I forgot to order an orange juice so I got that later and it was $7. So almost $40 on what ended up being maybe 400 cals, almost no food. The fruit on the side was horrendous. Literally ONE STRAWBERRY! And a few grapes, why is it always grapes?! The bacon was so fatty also it was almost inedible. I paid almost FOUR DOLLARS for an extra egg and it looks like they forgot it (the plate comes with two) because the portion was so small. The food was bland and so so not worth it. Although the orange juice was so good but still too pricey. So SAD read more

Easy to find, outdoor patio seating and clean, beautiful aesthetics inside. Multiple staff working during our 12:30pm visit. Not crowded just a few patrons during our visit. All young 20 something employees constantly working, doing something not standing around chatting. Food was amazing-we had the steak breakfast tacos special with a side of house made homemade potato chips along with the Blackberry Lavender Kombucha. Came here on recommendation from the owner of a beachside cafe, and we couldn't be happier. We ordered the chorizo toast that proved flavorful and delicious with just the right amount of sauce. Very busy place on weekends. We tried the vanilla and banana flavored cappuccinos (4/5). Then we tried the breakfast sandwich (3.5/5). I substituted the bagel with bread. Unfortunately, they toasted the bread too much and it was brick hard so if you substitute it with bread, make sure to say lightly toasted! The sandwich was good though, and the side of fruit tasted fresh. Try to order your food with your coffee because if they have large parties there before you, the food can take a while. I was in town for business and was referred to 2 Birds Cafe by various locals. It is located in a shopping center and offers a welcoming atmosphere. I sat at the bar and had the Breakfast Sammy w/out avocado and a chai latte. I met Becca the manager who was extremely busy running short on staff but still took a moment to have a conversation with me. Tried this new place for brunch while visiting Destin. Luckily we didn't have to wait for a table on a Sunday. They were full inside but we decided to sit outside in the patio because the weather was nice. We ordered their breakfast Sammy which comes with eggs, cheddar, tomato, avocado, mayo on an everything bagel. I had the bacon removed because I don't eat that. You also get a side of fruit. I also tried their pan fried banana bread, which was good. I wish the banana bread had some sort of nuts like walnuts or something but it was still pretty good. We also tried their coffee and chai latte. Chai latte was too milky but still flavorful. Their Avocado toast looked yummy so I will try that next time. The food was delicious. We had eggs/toast and a fruit bowl. The fruit bowl was a good size and had delicious honey on top! Our drinks - chai latte and an iced turmeric latte were delectable. Absolutely DELICIOUS! We went 2 days in a row for breakfast while we were in town. SO sad this isn't something local to us so we can go all the time. 2 Birds is a must visit for coffee and brunch! We came here twice. The first time after we ate we forgot our takeout pastry box. The next day we came our server remembered our order and bagged up our pastries again no questions asked. Shout out to the staff members here! The cafe has high ceilings and plenty of natural lighting, and enhanced by the nautical beach-y wall decor. Note that this is a sit down cafe where you sit a table and a server comes to take your order. The Breakfast Sammy was delicious, and came with a cup of fresh fruits. I love that it came with avocado. The Birdie Cold Brew tasted so good too! My friend got a Matcha Latte and breakfast bowl, both were amazing too. For pastries I got a blackberry lavender scone, an apple spice scone, and chocolate chip w/ sea salt cookies. They were all so fresh and yummy. If you're visiting Destin on vacation, I highly recommend 2 Birds Coffee! You'll find something you like here, whether it's coffee, breakfast food, or pastries! read more

Visiting from out of town like most and wanted some coffee. Stopped by this location and there was a variety of breakfast items and beverages. Upon walking in there were very nice servers and staff. We had the option of getting a table or ordering togo. We ordered our food togo which we should have called ahead for but we didn't wait long due to the restaurant not being busy at this time. The inside of the restaurant is open, bright, and roomy. The coffee whit the spot. Brought our food back to our place and our dishes were very tasty. I would recommend this spot for breakfast! The food here is fantastic! I had the bagel breakfast sandwich, and it was honestly one of the best I've ever had -- fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. My friends ordered the French toast and couldn't stop raving about it. The only thing that threw me off a bit was how the seating worked. You had to stand off to the side to wait for a table, and it wasn't clear if you could just sit at the bar (apparently you can't). It felt a little awkward at first. That said, once we were seated, the service was friendly and the food totally made up for it. I'd definitely come back -- maybe just with a little more patience during the seating process! read more

Absolutely horrible experience. We sat down and ordered coffee and food upon arrival. The coffee came and we patiently waited for the food. Then an hour had passed. We watched other tables be served and tried to get our waitresses attention but she never came back (not even to refill water) and seemed to avoid us. After over an hour another male server brought the check for coffee. We asked where our food was, and he said the waitress must have made a mistake and didn't put it in, chuckling and making it clear he already knew that we were missing food. But he just brushed it off immediately and asked if we were all set. I thought he was kidding because he was laughing. Then he asked if we wanted anything else and I again asked if he meant the food we'd sat there an hour waiting for wasn't coming? He said nope we never had the order, just the coffee because the waitress made an accident, and he chuckled again. I asked if they were planning on working on the food then since he knew they'd forgotten it, and he said no no but if you want to order anything else now you can or here's the check. I then asked if there was a manager who we could talk to about it or anything else to be done and he again laughed and said no manager but you can talk to me if you want and then just stared at us. He then handed us the check for two coffees and walked away. I not only cannot believe that this happened in the first place but it was the lack of apology AND the laughing about the mistake that was so shocking I literally thought we were missing the joke. And no solution was offered - they couldn't even think to comp our coffee?? Truly I can't fathom how rude he was and it felt like we were of zero importance to them as customers. I was so excited about this place but forgetting our order, acting like we weren't there, and then providing no real apology while laughing in our faces and STILL asking us to pay only to leave us starving with time wasted is truly horrible. And to be clear, the mistake of forgetting our order is something we could've overlooked and moved on happily from if they'd provided any solution. If they had, we would've brushed it off and I probably wouldn't be writing a negative review of any kind. But that didn't happen, instead it is the way they responded as if they couldn't care less, and how it left us feeling that crossed the line of acceptable. We tried to eat at 2 birds on Sunday but the tables were full and their line was out the door so we went somewhere else. We came back the next day and were the first to arrive. We were warmly welcomed and sat down. I had a lavender latte (amazing) and my friend had an iced vanilla latte. She liked that too! They make their own syrups in house and they are so tasty! My friend ordered the special veggie bagel and liked it pretty well. I got the avocado toast with an over easy egg on top! So so good. The service is top notch. So friendly and helpful. The place is cute and cozy with super fun bathrooms! I'm glad we got to experience this place while we were on vacation. So glad my husband and I were able to stop by 2 Birds Coffee while visiting Destin, FL. We had the best service and really enjoyed most of what we ordered. You have the option to dine in or take out. Inside was quite busy and loud when we visited on a Sunday midday so we opted to sit outside instead. For coffee, we ordered a macchiato and a caramel mocha. Both were tasty! We also ordered a peaches n cream scone, cinnamon sugar donuts, and sourdough french toast. The scone and donuts were both amazing! Highly recommend ordering if they're available. Nice spot for breakfast or lunch. The chai latte was made perfectly without being overly sweet, per my request. The sourdough bread was excellent and the chicken salad was good--not too much mayo, but lots of sweet grapes. The waiter was attentive and gave some great menu suggestions.
