Not happy with consigning my gently used clothing here. They assign you a number, put money from items sold into your folder. Big problem- they do not itemize any of the stuff that you give them. They throw everything on the floor when they're going through your belongings. Why would you do that? After I brought my clean clothes in to be sold! The worst part is when you come in to collect your money you get a rude surprise that you only got $5 or $10! But you could've swore you gave them at least 15 items. Rather shady. And then they tell you to go hunting for your belongings that didn't sell throughout their store if you want it back. Ridiculous. It's better to be a buyer in this store. Not a consigner. read more

This is what I love The store may sell your items for pennies but you will find a treasured for pennies. You never know what you might find. If you consign with Too Good to be Threw be sure to read and understand your contract with them. The do not itemize sales and I have consigned many items and question if the have been honest because I have gone back with a short time frame abd items are gone and I have no money in my folder. On the other hand I have bought many pieces of crystal and some beautiful sweaters, purses, coats at rock bottom prices so I continue to shop there but I do not consign any valuable items with them. read more

I brought practically brand new clothes to this consignment store, because of recent weight loss I couldn't fit them and AT MOST were worn twice. This included coats, sweaters, dress pants, jeans , blouses. There were a total of 6 big shopping bags. I gave it at least 3-4 weeks before calling to see how much I had sold. I was shocked to hear that I made only 9 dollars in that time period and decided not to collect it so I could save more. Fast forward another month I called again to see what my total was, and was told the same amount Of 9 dollars. This was a huge disappointment because I could have brought these to another shop and made more than the gas money I used to bring them. I wouldn't recommend this consignment shop for anyone trying to actually resell and make money off their items. read more

I would have to agree with all the negative reviews about this business. I have had the same experience - bringing in many items (mostly clothing) which apparently were accepted for sale as I was never called later to retrieve anything they did not want to sell. I would return to the shop and check my account (there is no real bookkeeping, you just have a number and a folder), only to find very little money in my folder. I do realize they have to reduce inventory when seasons change, but they do not have a good accounting system to their consignors. I stopped dealing with them several years ago for this reason. May be a good place to shop but not to sell. read more

This lady/ owner is such a scammer. She keeps what she wants for herself without the items even making it to the floor. Ive consigned items with her and she wont pay me for them but then they are also not in the store. She will try to get out of that fact by saying she donated items for sitting or that they went on sale and its all a lie - she does what she wants . Ive dropped things off to consign with KIM and in the same week the items have disappeared and theres no payment for them and no items present. * you are not allowed to see your tickets in your folder , cant add them up yourself , cant do anything - theres no way of knowing what sold and when , and if she doesnt like the payout amount she can just keep hitting the half off button to adjust it to what she wants to pay you. i watched staff smash a womans china set that she brought in to sell by staff trying to move a table with the china still on it and not clearing it off first...- her and her employees moved the table they were sitting on and they broke all the china broke and they just threw them in the garbage and ruined the set - they didnt even feel bad and showed no remorse - they just make things disappear and i guarantee they didnt tell the woman or pay her for the china. The owner deals with mostly cash , and her ticketing system is total scam . If you sell something theres no tracking what sold and for how much and why . Theres no descriptions for you of which items in particular sold that SHOULD end up in your folder for payment- yet many times tickets are "lost" or just not there ( and neither are the items). If you do the math on what you drop off versus what you get back - no matter what it doesnt add up and yet you're out your items without compensation. Nothing is tracked. Theres no checks and balances. If a ticket falls off she just makes up a price and pockets the money and that person never receives their money ( because how would anyone know)--- the system is severely flawed. I overheard the staff saying that they were taking the good high end items and posting them all on ebay !.... someone needs to severely investigate this business and send in a secret shopper low key and go through the whole system of being a customer - the proof is in the pudding and it will show very easily. All the owner and staff do is deny anything negative in question. This business has no proper bookkeeping and should not just get to do what they want. No one is governing this business. In my opinion and others i have spoke to : who knows what she reports to the IRS - probably only the people using credit cards -but even if she was reporting all of her cash income ( doubt it) it still doesnt excuse the fact that shes not paying out her customers for the items they brought in. This is not a thift store, you are not donating your items for a " good cause" , people are expecting to be paid for the items they consign regardless of the owners " contract" where she states she can donate your items after 60 days if they dont sell - things dont last that long there , the shop has alot of items coming in daily and theres no way she has the room to honor that contract resulting in the owner and employees getting rid of your items wayyyyy before that deadline . This store needs to show some accountability for their lack of book keeping , their customers , and their wacky " contract" . ****If this business could develop an accountable fair system to the customer , this store has great potential and even becoming a much larger store with a huge client base . This store is amazing! Kim (owner) is very particular on how she accepts and handles inventory. Fair prices all around. Everything is clean and displayed beautifully! I never leave without a treasure of some kind. I have bought kitchen items, workout clothes, books and all kinds of pottery. Very nice consignment store with a wide array of items. I went on a 50% off day, so the store was packed and I didn't really look anywhere other than the children's room. I was pleasantly surprised to find 3 gap clothing items for my daughter that were brand new with tags still! Since they were 50% off, I got a tank top, long sleeved top and sweater for $7! read more

I took i clothes with tags still on, a COACH wallet an incredible punch bowl with matching platter,2 or shoes and went back 4 weeks later and saw just a blouse and a pair of shoes still there so I gave the woman my # and she gave me FOUR dollars! First off I'd like to say that if you read through all of the one star reviews, it's the same person using different names. I have been going to this establishment for almost 15 years. They are the best at what they do and wonderful people as well. The selection is always outstanding and the value is always grand. Also, read your contract before you sign it and tells you right in there that there is no list of all the items that were sold. If you don't like that, then don't bring your stuff there and then go and complain to anybody that'll listen because you're unhappy for something that you did wrong. I've never had one issue whatsoever with this business in all of these years. All employees are very kind. I can't believe that anybody would post these nasty reviews and then they have one review total it's negative and it's the same person doing it over and over with different Yelp accounts. That needs to be handled. I look forward to going there every week and seeing the new fines and seeing all the happy faces. Always treated fairly and with respect at this establishment. I bring my items in I get my payment and usually end up spending the money at all of the wonderful trinkets and items that they have available. This establishment is not ethical. The owner does not track the items that the customers bring; a lot of the items she claims to donate - some of which go to her friends to sell at other locations. She accepts a lot of goods and does not operate a fair business. I would not bring things to the store or buy anything there. The business does not operate to the benefit of the customer. I have seen first hand customers who have brought in good merchandise of which she does not put out and donates to her friends or herself. I brought Disney VHS and she says was donated. Seller Beware! 1. They do not keep track of what is sold - they have no inventory system that is written down, where they can show you what sold and for how much. They simply put some cash in an envelope marked with your seller number. ANYONE who works there can decide how much they owe you. 2. Second, my experience and another Seller's experience listed on the Better Business Bureau complaint (go look it up, bbb.org) site are similar. I dropped off items, came back into the store and was told "there is nothing in your folder", yet the item is nowhere to be found in the small shop, even with multiple "salespeople" looking for it. You will most likely hear things like "oh, the item was donated", or "you must have picked up the money for this already" (remember, no inventory system, a thieve's dreamscape). 3. If/When you challenge them, you will most likely be directed to the owner, Kim, who is ready to fight and threaten legal action against YOU, should you take any action such as filing a police report. Note there are signs in the store already warning you "not to make trouble". When I spoke with the owner about all this on the phone, she said I was "making sh*t up, and her retaliation would be that she would get a lawyer and make sh*t up about me and sue me". Note that this business moved from Williamsville to Clarence and did not update their Yelp address. Ask yourself why? read more

Today (11/20/18), only one 1 item we took in was there in the store for sale and there was no money for all the other items, they just disappeared. I have sold many things with the help of 2 Good To Be Threw. I really like how easy it is - bring in the latest batch of stuff, give them my seller number, they give me the $ from any sales, done. They handle all of the pricing so no need to hassle with that. For buyers, they dont sell wrinkled, poor quality clothing (if they find any it goes to Salvation Army) and remove anything that doesnt seem like it will sell after a month. They also brought a truck and took all of my parents old things and found buyers for them when they moved to a smaller place, preventing them from dealing with the stress of an estate sale. read more

I am still a bit shocked that we have driven past this hot spot a few times and never noticed the shiny gems of this strip! Let's get started with one of three places basically sitting in a row with the last place we stopped in at. 2 Good 2 be Threw - type it in as I've spelled it and you will find in in your search - but I do recommend that instead - you just drop in. The place is a little bit crowded, but it's jam packed with amazing stuff. A lot of it might not be to your liking, but if you look hard enough - you will find something that has your name on it AND amazingly - it will be priced better then you expected. The staff - and surely the woman who rang up our "finds" certainly was friendly and didn't mind my words of Yelp or having her son help her out with a web page! WARNING: If you are looking for a place to consign do it somewhere else. This business is completely awful I've had a account open (which is not really an account but a folder). They gave me a number and I lost the card. Not a big deal I thought, Figuring that they would have my number written down in their system. I walked into the store to ask my my number and they said they had no record of it anywhere! They said that they didn't have the book the first few times when I went in and asked if they had it. After awhile they finally said that I could not get any of my money without my number. I went home and searched for my number and found it, so I went to the store to claim my money. When I got to the store they said I only had 10 dollars in my account (folder). I know that I dropped off over 100 items between the times I went in there. I told them that this is crazy! How could I only have 10 dollars off of 100 items at the least! I asked so only 2 of my items sold, they said yes and the rest were donated. They then argued with me and kicked me out of the store when I said that they are scammers. I then went to 5 other consignment store in my area and they all said they keep there records electronically. So what I'm trying to say is that they scam you out of all of your money, and this has happened to many other people. Come on people be realistic. This is a thrift store. Again, a thrift store. They sell low $ items and space is limited. After 30 days items are discounted 50%. That means original seller will get 25% or less of what the original price is. They cannot keep items forever. This is stuff you didn't use and are trying to get rid of it. I have seen brand new in wrapper 20 year old electronics...yes that has practically no price- not priceless- and after 60 days or 67 days it is donated. They cannot keep it for you to come around and get it and they do keep track of items sold in hardcopy...nothing wrong with that read more

My sisters, aunt, and I have had enough of this crooked business! We have brought many, many items here to be sold. Some brand new, some not. Brand name merchandise, some high-end stuff. All kinds of stuff. No inventory at all. Just as others have written, no good bookkeeping or accounting of merchandise or money. An envelope with your assigned number on it. Barely any money at all; possibly a couple of dollars. No apologies given. No explanation other than "must have been donated", "we didn't think it would sell".... it's all a ruse! The worst??? My youngest sister lost her husband tragically and without warning last year. We have all been helping her with everything. This past summer, she somehow found the courage to part with some of her husband's things and various household items. Many of these items were of good monetary value. And guess what??? NO MONEY IN HER ENVELOPE!! Same excuses given! Horrible! We will never step foot in that store again. And we will NEVER recommend anyone to go in there or take their stuff there. She (Kim, the owner) has lost our business forever! We don't know exactly what is done with everything brought into that store...but we have our suspicions. read more

Very dishonest people. Bring your very best items in and they disappear. I have brought numerous "new" items in and they are gone a week later and no money is handed over. I know many people with the same complaint. I have been in the store on two occasions where sellers have come in and complained about not receiving the money they are due and have witnessed several altercations with the owner. If you want to shop there it is fine, but don't bring your items in for sale. I was told by a resident of Clarence that the owner sells the high quality stuff on e-bay. BEWARE. read more

Very dissatisfied with this store. My first clue should have been when I was dropping off items the first time. A woman was asking owner where some of her larger items were and they apparently had not sold nor were they found in store. The owner was very rude to her when the woman pressed her to account for these items. Despite that , I did leave my items to be sold, including several large items. When I returned several weeks later, I could not find my chairs and any of my other items , yet only received 17 dollars. I have used other consignment stores and this was much below the amount expected for the value and number of items, I left in their care. They do not keep track of what you drop off .. so you have no way of knowing what happens to your stuff. ( again most other stores do list items you drop off and then cross off when sold) Many items that I noticed in store did not have a tag on them, so I can see how you may not get credit for your items that sell also. I hate to have to write this - but - please other consignors learn from many of us who have been "taken". I brought many items in, advised the owner I will pick up what does not sell. So the exact day my items were to be "donated", if not picked up I stopped by the shop, asked for whatever money I made, the envelope had a dollar or two. When I asked the status of my items and noted they were not on floor, with little money in the envelope I asked "where could they have gone?" The response was "well I haven't gotten through all of my sales yet, come back another time." Well I did..again nothing. I finally gave up! Funny thing after my experience and talking with others we ALL experienced the same. It is incredible, so please take your items to other shops who are reputable. It is too bad because I really enjoyed shopping there but I can no longer support a business who rips their consignors off. read more

I dropped off my consignment in august and kept checking to see if any sold. I never once did see any of my clothes on the sales floor. It goes out for 30 days at full price then 30 days for half price. Many of my items had tags on them From Talbots, Aerie, etc...Today, I expressed how disappointed I was with the store that I have been in here often and never have seen the items. The response from the owners in a negative tone was why didn't you bring that to my attention earlier? Honestly, most of the time that I have been in there you have told other customers go look on the floor for your items. I just wonder if this buisness is really keeping a good eye on the floor or their bookkeeping is to their benefit. An honest business, if you are giving good service to the customer would be to call them and have the customer pick up the stuff. This would show your honesty of what was sold and not sold. In the long run this might even bring you in more business if they have other items to consign. Keeping an open line with customers is important also not having an attitude. read more
