I've gone to vision works in the past, as well as Edge Optics. I give Edge Optics 5 stars. Visionworks has been better in the past. I had bad luck with my old sunglasses frames as they broke when the new lenses were put in. This is a chance you risk, but I feel going to Edge Optics instead would have been better odds. I will be returning there, or only working with Aspen if I end up at Visionworks again, as I'll explain next. Aspen is an outstanding employee at Visionworks. She deserves a raise. I came in to pick up my new sunglasses (frames, lenses) and was told by doctor Jennifer Owen to sit down and wait for Brooke to help me. At first I thought Brooke was actually helping a customer, but in reality they had finished, and I sat waiting there for 8-10 minutes as a man in his 50's hit on Brooke (guessing she's late 20's). She showed him tattoos, seemingly flirted with him, as I looked directly at both of them simply waiting to pick up my new shades I'd just bought. Brooke blatantly ignored me, just shooting the shit with this man for 8-10 minutes or more when I had errands to run, and needed to get back to work at home. Once the man finally ended the conversation, Brooke FINALLY came to help me and wasn't friendly. She was beyond full of herself, and unprofessional. I will say that Aspen who helped me order my new lenses was outstanding. Very professional, polite, and down to earth. Brittney who helped me order new sunglasses frames was also kind, and professional. I also found out my regular glasses now that just had new lenses in them now have a fracture in them, and honestly believe Brooke may have caused it while adjusting them. I trust other employees would have noticed before they were given back to me. So overall, not a great experience at Visionworks, minus Aspen and Brittney. Brooke shouldn't be an employee here. She has an overinflated ego, she's not professional, she's not friendly, and should putting ALL customers first. Not making a customer wait while talking to someone she's no longer helping. I could tell she didn't enjoy working there by her attitude.

Leaving vision works for good. I've been with them since 2019. I booked my appointment earlier this…read moreweek and today showed up. When I walked in the front desk Lea or Lisa (I forgot what her name is) mentioned she wasn't able to find my insurance (instead of calling me ahead of time so I could find out through my company HR) and I was trying to pull it up on my phone. My wife was with me and mentioned to the front desk this happened to her last she came as well and it has to do with our last name and how they entered it at vision works. My wife said she asked them to fix it last time. The front desk brushed it off and said that's not it and it's coming up that we don't have insurance with who we said we do. So I was busy on one of the the empty desks searching for less than 5 minutes to pull it up and the front desk lady came and told us unfortunately we're over our appointment time and need to leave. I then was able to while driving away to confirm that the insurance we had on file all along was valid so I called vision works to let her know I do have insurance and she said it wasn't pulling up for her and it's probably because I have a space in my last name. This made me upset because this was literally the exact thing my wife brought up and supposedly vision works previously fixed during my wife's visit. I can't believe after how we've been treated the front desk was entering our last name in incorrectly the whole time. I also think it should be mentioned that this is the first time I've had this issue personally and I have a long list of previous appointments. Yes it's a new endurance company but my names always been the same. I drive to Denver for work so it's hard to get these things which adds even more frustration. I was offered another appointment for next Friday which I canceled after thinking through this situation it's just not a place I want to give my money to or my families money to. Advice if you even care: 1. Be prepared for your customers 2. Call them ahead 3. Be helpful and represent your business This is definitely not my first time having issues with this exact vision works location. A few years ago they broke my Armani frame and offered that I can pick one but would have to pay for the new one. After I wrote a review at that time they offered I could then get the frame free. They didn't have anything similar in cost to what was lost but the thought of them actually wanting to help was a huge difference to me and I let it go and felt reconciled. Now I'm done. There's no coming back. You can't keep turning away your own customers and expect better business.

After more than 25 years as a loyal patient, I never imagined I would be leaving this practice, but…read morethe decline in customer service has been impossible to ignore. The front desk consistently sounds irritated when patients call, as if answering questions or helping people is an inconvenience. Every interaction has left me feeling like I'm bothering them rather than being a valued patient. The most frustrating part was spending nearly $900 on contact lenses and eyeglasses with an incorrect prescription. Instead of standing behind their work and correcting the issue, I was told I would need to pay for another exam to have the prescription reevaluated. Charging a patient additional fees to address a prescription that wasn't working is unacceptable. Everyone makes mistakes, including doctors. What separates a great practice from a poor one is how those mistakes are handled. Rather than taking ownership and working toward a reasonable solution, I felt dismissed and treated like another billable appointment. It's especially disappointing because I had trusted this office with my eye care for over two decades. The previous level of care and customer service is gone. The new doctors and staff seem far less invested in their patients' experience, and that has cost them a loyal customer. Losing a patient of 25 years over a preventable issue says a lot. I will be taking my eye care elsewhere and cannot recommend this practice based on my experience.

Collins, who referred me to a clinic in The Republic of Bouldah. Well, I made that drive (Twice!) in the course of 10 days, because the OD in FC *thought* she saw a problem with my retina. To make a long story short (yeah, I know . . . too late!), there was NO problem. After cold calling Dr. Matthew Skrdla, mainly because of 350 5-star reviews on Google, I was able to get in today, Monday the 20th. Dr. Skrdla is an OD as well, in an office in The Landings. His office has been there for around five years, if I remember my conversation with "Zoey" correctly. He took all the time he needed to look at my eyes, moving me from specialty machine to specialty machine, designed to look into the depths of my eyes, if not my soul. In the end, he came up with several versions of exactly WHY my eye might be aching. I asked him to tell me in layman terms what they were, but even his "dumbed down" version was more than I can follow. Not really, but it is certainly more than I can repeat. After the exam, Zoey took over the process, showing me different frames for lenses. As a first-time customer, as she said, they offered me a 40% DISCOUNT on my first pair of glasses. The same discount will apply to the second pair as well, when *if* the first pair works out. She gave me a time frame to buy the second pair with the same discount, which, as I recall, was 90 days. I certainly felt as if it was plenty of time to evaluate the first pair. It will take a few weeks to get my new glasses in. In the meanwhile, I will make do with my 1.75 diopter "readers", which have gotten me this far. As it turns out, my right eye has an astigmatism, and BOTH eyes need 2.25 diopter correction lenses! Zoey will be in touch when it's time to move forward with my new eyes. I can hardly wait!

I have dry eye and with my previous Kaiser insurance, really struggled to find a provider that knew what they were doing and what products to recommend.
