I have been going to Edge optics for a few years for my eye exams and glasses. This was my first time since they moved to a new location, and my experience was incredible! This place is great! My Dad recommended them when I moved to town and Ive found entire staff to be so welcoming, knowledgeable, & efficient. I've seen both Dr Mitchell and Dr Bryant over the past three years and found them both to be really patient, thorough, and effective at communicating my options with me. Edge Optics shares records easily with the Eye Center of Northern Colorado and gave me a referral when they noticed a new retinal hole in my eye needed to be seen by an ophthalmologist. The ophthalmologist said "It's great they caught this. They've got great people over there." Great, local company for your optic needs. We moved here a year ago and I didn't know where to start to update some of my prescription lenses. I went to two other locations in town before popping in here after a haircut. Mindy was beyond helpful in setting me up to know exactly what my new insurance does and doesn't cover and weighing out pricing options. When I went back in to follow through with my updates, Cae helped me out and it was a seamless process, also super helpful. Lastly, there was an issue with how the lab set up my lenses due to my astigmatism and Maria was very patient in helping diagnose what was off with my new lenses and got it all squared away. Excellent Team ! I walked in this place after being rejected by 4 different opticians. I thought my request using my existing frame on a new pair of lens was easy, but many places didn't want to drill holes in the lens. A lady at the receptionist desk made a very quick phone call to their eyewear technicians to see if they can work on my frame. The answer was YES! Gals working there are so professional in both sales and customer service and they were very attentive. They make sure no customers are unattended. They put so called Sales Professionals on Rodeo Drive to shame. The place's decor is hip and cool. Super highly recommended! read more

First thing that you notice when stepping into this store, is that it's a fun place with lots of bike decor. I'm not sure why and maybe the owners just love bicycles and it's fitting for a college town? There's a small area for kids and comfy couches. Step back in time: play a game on their centipede arcade game machine. Keurig tea and coffee, water is available. Eye exam was sufficient. Frame selection is vast. They were happy to order my frame of choice in a different color. No obligation to proceed if I didn't go with it. Got my estimate and waited for my frame. As it turns out, I didn't like the color and opted for another frame at a comparable price that had arrived in the meantime. The new quote then turned out to be $300 above the original estimate. What I felt could be improved would be if the estimated costs be clarified on a form instead of scribbles on a little piece of post-it sized paper. The amount for the high index lens was left out. Had I known this I could have saved them the trouble of ordering the frame, saved myself a second trip to try on the ordered frame, or even find a second frame. All in all in, everyone here is very helpful and extremely patient. Options abound and they have a great offer for a second pair. Great store, and it helps to know what you want going in to simplify the decision making. read more

The customer service makes a huge difference here! We went to The Eyes Have It before coming here and the lady working didn't seem to care that we were there. The section that Edge Optics has is great and they were great about working through the process with us. The others folks in the store seemed very comfortable as well. It seemed that there were a few regulars that the staff knew. There is a seating area for those waiting on appointments for the on-site eye doctor and there was water and coffee for those waiting. I think I can confidently say we will come back here for our future eyeglass needs. By the way, Madison was great!! read more

I've been in twice to to check my vision and to get glasses and sunglasses. They have a great selection there and also have other colors for frames online. My first set I got was Smiths frames for regular glasses and Emporio Armani for shades. My second time coming in for my yearly exam I found some beautiful Oakley Sanctuary sunglasses in rose gold. Absolutely beautiful! The doc is wonderful and so is the entire staff. So helpful and friendly It's a very clean and neat environment overall and has a small play area for kids. They also offer tea/coffee/water. I highly recommend this place. The cost of an exam is very reasonable especially if you don't have insurance. read more

After spending several thousands of dollars on 7 pairs of glasses, for myself and my family, I have found the customer service to be non-existent. As a long time resident of Fort Collins it is always sad when a local business fails to serve their customers. This is the best eye doctor I've seen in ten years. I really like the staff, too. They really go above and beyond and I appreciate how hard they've been working to both stay open during covid-19 while taking such precautions to keep their clientele & staff safe. Re-ordering my contacts from them is awesome, as they have them shipped right to my house and they price match online. They're also the first eye doctor to make sure that my contacts don't dry out too quickly, and it means the world to me. This place is a total gem and I'd recommend it to anyone. read more

We are traveling through Fort Collins and found this place. We went in and my husband got his sunglasses tightened and cleaned and then I found some great new sun glasses. The selection is a nice size with lots of options for glasses and for sun glasses. There is a cute area in the back for kids to play too. When we come back through we will stop again! read more

I must mention I've been going to eye doctors for years and by far the most warming experience along side lynae who helped me, the doc is extremely insightful. He took the time to explain to me about my eyes and their health. This is no average place if you want friendly and kind service with warm welcoming smile come here. After my eye appointment the girls tried on practically every pair of glasses in the store with me and gave me their honest opinions on all of them. I wasn't necessarily planning on getting eyeglasses as well but I got so excited about the pairs I was trying on that I ordered some that day and got a phone call as soon as they were in, complete with a case to keep them safe in. I have gotten glasses two times here. Each time I have gotten great service while I was in store. The ladies are nice and helpful and the doctor was personable. But in terms of actually getting my glasses, the service sucks. They say 7-10 days until you get to pick them up. They have never stuck to this time frame. This time I ordered glasses, I called on the 10th day and they said they would be available to pick up 3 days later. Then 3 days later I call again and they said they aren't going to be able to pick up for another week later because the "lenses didn't pass inspection and they are starting over". It should not take 3 weeks to get glasses if you say 7-10 days and also if you know they are going to be delayed, it's only courteous to call and let the customer know instead of making them call and find out what's happening. After this set of glasses I will not be returning. read more

Dr. Bryant and his team are great! The atmosphere is comfortable and professional. Dr. Bryant took his time with me making sure he got the perfect prescription. He also did additional testing on my peripheral vision none of my previous optometrists had performed before. I felt I had a thorough exam, and he took the time to explain the testing and answer any questions I had. His team was so patient with me picking out frames. I have such a tough time picking out glasses and really appreciated their input! They have the best selection I've ever came across at an eye clinic. I get compliments every time I wear my glasses! I'd like to leave zero stars, but apparently the minimum is one - an undeserved number. I went to the Edge because they have a large selection of sporty sunglass frames that could be filled with my Rx. I found a pair and (despite the sticker shock) ordered them. The first iteration of the lenses was definitely not right. Round things always looked oval and I couldn't even really walk or ride my bike in them because I could never focus. I took them back and the optician checked and found that the Rx hadn't been filled correctly (at least that's what she said). So they sent my $600 glasses back to be done right (or so I thought). It turns out (or so they claim) that what they actually did was a "Dr. Re-do" (re-make lenses because the patient was having trouble or needed to tweak the Rx) which allegedly lens labs will only do once. The re-do, which took two weeks, was still terribly uncomfortable so I went back and they did a prescription re-check, or rather I had made an appointment for that, but all the Doc. did was insist that I needed to keep wearing them (even though I felt unsafe trying to bicycle in them). Then he says, "I already did my one Dr. Re-do and if I send them back again they will charge me and I'll lose money." So, at that point I was already near the end of my 30-day return window, and now it's past and I've given up on this place. I won't be back. read more

I had a great experience at Edge Optics. I was greeted by a very friendly team and examined quickly and painlessly by Dr. Bryant. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of their frame collection, too -- lots of frames of all shapes & prices. What really made my experience awesome was Madison. She saw me looking at frames and offered her assistance. She looked up different color options online for all six or seven frames I had picked out and invited me to her desk to guide me through the process. She had a great eye for what frames flattered my face and she offered her honest opinion for those that didn't. Despite the fact that it was the end of her work day, Madison never made me feel rushed or pressured to make a decision. When I finally picked out my frames, she explained all the different pricing options patiently and clearly, and she seemed genuinely excited for me when I found the frames I wanted. She even ordered them in different colors so I can try them on in person. She also followed up with me via phone when she encountered an issue with the merchant. Thank you Madison! read more

I am very impressed with the staff at Edge Optics. I recently scratched my eye right before a vacation and the doctor was able to get me right in to check and make sure I wasn't going to have issues while on vaca.
