I came here with my cousin back on 1/24 who came up to see me. I really didn't want a manicure but my cousin wanted a gel polish change and she treated me to getting my nails done. The place is really clean and I even noticed the Yelp certificate proudly displayed by the register. Kevin did my cousin's nails and Sophie did my nails. We both gotten gel manicures and my nails looks pretty good. What was interesting was the paraffin wax after the manicure. Sophie and Kevin said that it keeps the hands soft. A week later, they still look fresh. Gel manicures a way better than acrylics. I will be coming back again. Keep up the good work!!! read more

Terrible nail salon the older woman is extremely racist and can't do nails. The card machine was down and I was asked to pay with cash, I explained that I needed to go to the ATM since I was paying with card and no one advised me beforehand that the card machine was down. Since there is no ATM nearby I had to drive to the PNC which is about one minute up the street, the older woman then threatened to call the police on me letting me know that she didn't trust me and started screaming that I didn't pay her. Of course in this day and age this isn't uncommon especially to people that share the same skin tone as mine the sad thing is I only came to have two nails fixed as I came in with a fresh set from another salon. I was extremely offended by this experience because I would never run off and not pay for my nails. As I returned with the $11 the older lady didn't apologize to me after making a huge scene or anything she took the money and told me to get out. I would not recommend this nail salon to any African-American women especially young women because they are racist, and it could lead to a potentially dangerous situation over something as small as $11. To add insult to injury the woman cut my finger while doing my nails and did a extremely sloppy job. If you refer to the photos she fixed my index finger and it looks terrible. 100% would not recommend. read more

I just moved to Frederick in April and I haven't had time to get ny nails done until about two weeks ago. This salon got great reviews on here and is right next to my apt complex so I decided to try it out. I was not disappointed! The women are friendly and very good at what they do. The shop is very clean and they have 6 new pedicure chairs that look amaxing. I got a full set with french and eyebrow and lip wax and the total was $44 which is very reasonable. I wanted my nails to look good because I was having engagement pictures taken a few days later. They were even and filed well and the girls worked fast while still producing great work! They have convenient hours so I stopped in today (it's Sunday and a lot of places not open). I'm not impressed. I have acrylic all over my nails and fingers and the shape is lumpy. I asked for a new set to be put on and she did the way most people do, by slowly prying off the old set. Didn't hurt any more than usual. What hurt was her over-filing to shape them, and the machine underneath to get the nail glue out. I asked for pointed so maybe it's my fault but my nails are so sharp I just cut my face trying to move my hair. From a distance the nails look great but once you actually look at them you can see how sloppy they look. Crooked and lumpy. I'm disappointed. The woman who did my nails was polite, and they did a wax dip on your hands after my gel polish was done. But I won't be back.. read more

I'm very happy with the quality pedicure I got here. Being as I am living in Frederick for the summer, I turned to yelp to find a place to get a pedicure. There were a lot in the area, but this one happened to be open at 10am on a Sunday. This was a good time to go because they were able to take me as a walk in. The pedicure was only $30 (what is the going rate for pedicures? This seemed really inexpensive to me!) The woman spent a good amount of time doing the extra nice things that comes with a pedicure like the foot massage. My toes look great and I'm ready for summer! read more

I got a dip powder French manicure and pedicure at my first visit. The dip powder manicure lasted a week before the edges started peeling up at the bottom (see pics). The pedicure is also already chipping. It almost feels like they didn't put any top coat on the pedicure. And over priced from the salon I typically go to. I walked into this nail salon at 6:00 pm today. There was an older woman and a young gentleman, I asked for a gel manicure and reg pedicure. The young man starting wrapping my nails when it was time to handle the manicure I asked him how many times had he done this and he said one time. I should have stopped him at that time. He did not do a good job so i stopped him at the point they were doing my cuticles. No one offered to do my nails and they charged me for a reg manicure. Will never go back again. I have never been to a nail salon and had this kind of service. The one star is only selected because it would not let me post without a rating. Poor Customer Service. read more

They did a alright job on my nails. Good for a basic solid nail coloring, but they aren't that great on designs. I usually like detailed cute designs on my nails, but the nail technicians a pretty sloppy when it comes to designs. Also, I got intimidated when I over heard a woman who was getting a pedicure telling the nail technicians that she got fungus on her toes from another salon and to see if they could file the fungus off. The nail technician who was doing her pedicure reached over and grabbed a used nail filer to file the woman's toes. Then put the nail file block in a drawer. Not even throwing the filer out after filing the woman's fungus toe to use on the the next customer. While the ladies who work in the salon are very nice, I don't think I want to go back to this salon knowing that they aren't sanitary. Especially when they reuse dirty nail files for other customers. read more

Went into this establishment today because I've been looking for a new nail tech. I gave 2 stars only because the guy (wish I knew his name but he didn't even introduce himself) did do a nice job on my nails when it comes to the shape and fill. But the experience as a whole was pretty crappy. He was not friendly or professional what so ever! I've been a successful hairstylist for 18yrs so I know what it takes to build a clientele. I love this salon!! It t is the absolutely BEST place to get a pedicure.....Everyone goes over and beyond to make it an amazing experience. Although the equipment is fresh and new I love the fact that they use desposable liners in the foot soaking tubs....ALSO! every client has a personal "box" wtih their own files. Awesome little shop with 6 stations and 3 pedicure chairs with massage. Call ahead if you want to get in later in the day as they are often full. They do all the routine fills , gels, etc at the going rate but they spend time doing it right. Very clean They do waxing too in private rooms. I hate having to give negative reviews, but I'd hate more for someone else to receive the same poor service as me. My nails turned out great. The problem began when I asked for an eyebrow waxing. Unfortunately, the tech removed most of my left eyebrow during the waxing process and made them way too thin. She was asked to "clean them up"....which to me means just to remove the stragglers. This spot is okay but the customer service is not great. I went for a pedicure and gel manicure. They offer a good pedicure with a deep massage, callous removal, and paraffin wax. The gel manicure was not the best. The gel polish was too thick and a rushed job. The shop was extremely busy so lots of customers especially as I was leaving. It seems the objective was to get as many customers in and out as quickly as possible. Overall it wasn't bad but it wasn't the greatest experience that I've had at a nail salon. The technician was somewhat rough and not very good at communicating. I will most likely not return to this establishment. read more

Taking my business elsewhere!! I have been going to this salon for years. I made an appt (w/the owner) for my daughter (pedi), (who is visiting from out of town) and myself (gel mani) DAYS BEFORE to have HER perform the service. We get there and I can see they are busy. I specifically said, feel free to take my daughter first and I can come back anytime. She said no, I'll take you first then her. While she's finishing up my service, another customer walks in. The owner gets this exasperated look on her face. I didn't think anything of it. She finishes up w/me and I'm fully expecting her to take my daughter. She doesn't. She starts working on the other lady (who is white) and instead has another random technician start to work in my daughter. We are black. I asked her about it and she said "she's my customer and she had an appt. WTH??? So do we. Granted, my daughter is not a regular customer but I AM! I don't believe what she said about the other customer having appt., because my daughter SAT THERE THE WHOLE TIME waiting for my service to finish. If that other lady had an appt. I would think they would ask us if someone else could do her pedi WHEN WE FIRST ARRIVED!!! We chose to leave, right then and there. I WILL NOT BE BACK!! So, not only did she make the choice to work on the white customer over my daughter, she wasn't up front and truthful about any of it and chose to waste our time. I've tried multiple salons in the area, but this is definitely the top choice. They take their time on your nails, and every detail matters to the techs there. Tried this place and was so sorry I did. Horrible basic manicure. If you want a nail infection go there. If not stay far away! Manicurist tried to use emery boards that we're used on a lot of people before me. Worst yet he had dirt under his fingers and after piercing my skin kept running his nail under spot making it worse. I had my second visit here today and it was fantastic! I had a regular manicure and pedicure again. I don't know the lady's name that did my nails but her foot/leg massage made me wonder why I waited a month to return. I will never give this establishment my business again! The owner Holly is extremely rude and did a rush job on my nails and in the process cut my finger! I also believe that she is not too fond of African-American customers. I had a 10:00 appointment with her and she was still doing my nails as of 11:00, she told me I had to wait 10-15 while she was in the middle of applying my nails because her 11:00 appointment was there! I have been going here for about a year now. It's a bit of a drive from my house and my job so I decided to try a different place that was closer a couple times in the past couple months - I came to realize that was a mistake. The mani and pedi's I get here at 2000 nails last at least a week to two weeks longer than the ones I got at the other place. I have been able to go until my nails are just too long, rather than being forced to go because the gel polish starts to peel off. I went here on the Fourth of July with my friend. The lady who seemed to be the owner was rude to us from the moment we walked in. She continuously yelled at us for being 10 minutes early and then yelled at my friend for having gel on her toes. They also took 3 other walk ins before doing my friends toes when we had made an appointment. The products were cheap and the pedicure was mediocre. We will not be returning here ever.
