Had a powder dip manicure done there on Saturday. It was my first visit (and last), because my usual salon was busy. By Monday, three nails were already chipped, one of them really bad (see picture). I've had this type of manicure done for years and never had any issue before. When I went back to the salon today to have it fixed, I was told "to come back tomorrow". Absolutely the worst experience. I went on Monday. Rude to start with, the nail tech cut my left ring finger, left the nail soak off on for almost 45 minutes burning my nail beds. Still does great nails! I've been going here on and off for over 3 years. I occasionally check out other places to see if I like any of them better, but I've learned that Deja Vu gives me a consistently good experience and are competitively priced. I get dip powder these days and sometimes get designs on top. I've been really happy. My current go to girl is Diana, but they have several good technicians: Nina, Kim, Hannah and Kevin are all great. I usually just walk in and go with whoever is available. I recommend Mondays if your schedule is flexible, but it's easy to make appointments with them also. read more

Got the signature spa pedicure and was taken back on time. There's a fairly good selection for nail polishes. Essie is one of my favorites so I was happy to see how many they had. The foot basin was covered with a plastic lining and the water was almost too hot to tolerate but I adjusted quickly and it was a quite relaxing soak. My session consisted of foot filing, cuticle treatment, leg exfoliation/moisturization followed by a hot towel wrap, massage, nail clipping, and polish. The paint job could have been better. She definitely could have gone closer to the edge for one of my big toes. Plus, both big toes have tiny holes like air bubbles had popped and got coated by clear coat. Nothing you can really see unless you're up close. They're nearby so I may return in hopes for a better paint job. read more

Not one to leave reviews usually but this experience was pretty bad. I have been getting my nails done here for about a year. I have had mostly good experiences but a few notably bad ones, such as my gel chipping and peeling a day later. On three occasions, including the last, an older lady has done them and honestly has not done a good job and has been pretty rude to me. This most recent time I went in for a gel pedi and a number of things went wrong. 1) they didn't have my original color and she wanted me to choose a new one but instead of bringing me the entire selection she brought me one smaller ring to choose from--i had to request the basket because none of the colors on that ring would have gone well on me. 2) she hurt me on two occasions, both times ignored me when i said so. One of them was definitely because she did not leave my feet soaking before trying to go after them. 3) she literally didn't leave the gel light on at all long enough--she kept moving it after 10 seconds even when i said i didn't think they were dry enough. 4) she honestly did a terrible job! See pictures. She missed (i guess?) an entire section on my big toe--it literally looks like she just didn't paint there and my nail bed looks as bad as it did when i came in. 5) this is the biggest one. She gave herself a 10$ tip when I specifically said just $48 for the pedi--because of the absolutely horrendous service i was not going to tip her and she added it to my card anyway. I want a refund, I am definitely not going to be coming back, and I certainly will not be recommending this place to anyone. read more

I got gel nails from Victor and they're absolutely beautiful! I went on a Friday at 11 am and they were pretty full with people walking in. Great attention to detail which I love because I'm picky about my nails. They have a great selection of colors to choose from in shellac. I took a star down only because of their pricing. Don't you just love it when your manicurist walks off after distractedly painting your nails and leaves you to just sit there for ten minutes? No? Well me neither. But that's what happened when I got a manicure here. I popped in for an emergency manicure while visiting my parents for the weekend. After painting my nails in between taking appointments on the phone, and acting as the receptionist, my manicurist disappeared after putting on the topcoat, leaving me to sit there with literally no idea of where to go. I had to ask where the dryer was and then accidentally smudged a nail because I didn't know they had some special fast-drying top coat and was trying to reach for my wallet to pay for my manicure. Oh and the manicure was also shoddy with unpainted areas and one nail significantly longer than the others. This would have been one star, but for the actual receptionist who was kind enough to tell me about this fast drying topcoat and for the woman who fixed my nail after I smudged it. Perhaps I just got a horrific manicurist but like seriously? I get that this is a simple manicure and I'm not paying the big bucks for gel nails but at the very least provide the basic services, i.e. telling me where the dryer is. It's really unfortunate because I used to come here for emergency pedicures all the time and liked the place a lot. Guess it's time to find another place in Clarksburg. read more

I really wanted to like this place... I really did. They were nice and are very clean, but for the past few times that I have been here, they have been lazy with my nails. I usually get Tiffany who I believe is the owner or manager of the salon, but I'm guessing since she is so good, it's hard to book her to do your nails. It's a hit or miss. I have not once had a problem with Tiffany's work. She does a fantastic job always! I've had different nail technicians do my nails if Tiffany was not available. Which I thought was alright.. But I thought wrong. First crappy visit was from a woman who I never saw, she kept missing areas to buff out. I kept having to tell her that there was spot with old nail polish she missed, then she kept asking me if I wanted to get my brows done, I clearly told her no. It was annoying as crap. Second crappy visit was from a nail technician named Katy, she was sweet and quiet, but her nail work didn't wow me. She didn't do a fill in with my old nails, just added a new color on top of my gapped nails, though it didn't look THAT bad, if you looked closely, you can see the gap between where the fill in was suppose to be and my natural nail. As soon as I got home and showed my friend, she pointed out that my thumb nail was very crooked. Easy fix, I just filed it down with my nail filer. But I shouldn't have done that in the first place... A few days later, the nail chipped! The color chipped first then the whole tip of the nail broke off. I was pissed! But with my busy schedule, I couldn't go back to redo my nails, so I thought to wait until later when my other nails are due for a fill in. Third crappy visit and this is what made me feel uncomfortable. I called and Tiffany answered the phone, I asked for a appointment because it was Friday and they are usually really busy. She told me to come in a half hour no problem. So I did, I was greeted by Katy. She asked me what I needed done and I told her that I NEEDED her to fix my nail, make them a even size equal to the one that chipped and broke, a fill in and a color change!!! She looks at me and says "you need what?" And I explained over and over again.... Thinking she understood? She didn't..... She buffs the old nail gel polish off my nails, evens them out to a smaller size, then she tells me to go wash my hands... NO fill ins, NO cuticle fixing.... She gets done with my nails with the desired design and quickly felt rushed to get me out the door. I have given her my frequent card which was due for $10 off. She had given me my discount and didn't even bother to offer me a new frequent card. It began to get really busy at the salon and the employees including Tiffany looked really stressed out. Some customers began to walk out due to the wait time. Again, like my previous experience at the other nail salon that I went to, hire more nail techs to serve customers instead of rushing through the current client to get to the other. I felt extremely awkward being there. I drive all the way from Frederick just to give this salon my business, but now I'm thinking it's not even worth it. I love going to Deja vu nail spa! I used to only trust Damascus nails, but this place is in my neighborhood and a few of my friends recommended it to me so I gave it a try. I usually get acrylic nails and I go in every 2-3 weeks for a fill. The prices there are very reasonable, it is cheaper to get a full set here than anywhere else I've been around here. Also, if you pay in cash I think they give you a 5% discount. The people there are always very accommodating. They never have a problem if I decide to just walk in without an appointment and they're also very friendly and easy to talk to! There's even a mini fridge with free soda / waters. The salon is consistently clean and looks very chic and modern on the inside. All of the tools used seem clean as well. They always make my nails look beautiful and are not weird about fixing any imperfections that you see like some other places. I've only had one experience where I was dissatisfied with the service and I went back to get it fixed and they did it free of charge! (I still tipped them of course) This place is now my go to for nails, I even bring my boyfriend along sometimes to get a mani / pedi with me! read more

I've been going there for about 2 yrs now--as a loyal and trusting customer-- I referred 2 people to them. When all 3 of us were there, Kim was doing my friends nails and made her bleed (see pic below). She also took 2 hours to do a full set on top of the bleeding. After 2 days, she had to go back because her nail broke off. So when she went back Kim said she would fix it, & on top of that my friend asked if the next time she could get a discount and they refused. When Kim was fixing her nail, my friend noticed that she was using the same bloody nail filer that made her bleed two days prior. I wonder how many other people she has used that filer on with someone else's blood on it....disgusting! We all know things accidents happen at the nail salon, however to make someone bleed, then come back to have Kim using the same filer as before (see pic below), then to NOT give a discount!? I did a walk in to this salon on a late Saturday afternoon. I decided to drop in after I saw good review on Yelp. When I got in I was greeted to sit down for my pedicure. First thing I noticed is they do not have good brand nail polish. No OPI or Essie but some off brand items. When she did my pedicure, I noticed a lot of uneven with the coating and I tried mentioning it but they were in a hurry to close down for the night. I will probably never come back, given as they have "spa" prices but don't offer that kind of service for the price that they ask for. read more
