They offer some great deals for local residents as well as on weeknights. We stopped by here the other night after my birthday dinner. It was a little chilly and windy, but there were so many cool things to see and do here. Talk about a plethora of options for photo ops and selfies! The Wizard of Oz theme is cool. There's a couple rooms that don't seem to follow the theme, which helps mix it up a bit. There's also a "circus" which looks like a lot of BMX and dirt bikes. We heard it and saw some of the performance, but it's a very small area of the attraction, so we were more interested in everything else. We ended up staying here almost two hours and they were getting ready to close. This is definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something fun and different to do in the area.

I especially loved the live show; such talented individuals. There was a contortionist, a juggler, hula hooper snd and a guy that spins a large metal box in the air! There's something for everyone: a giant pumpkin patch, gorgeous sunflower fields, a fun petting farm, and tons of great food and activities. The sunflower fields were one of my favorite part -- absolutely beautiful and perfect for photos. The petting farm was such a cute touch too (the sheep definitely stole the show). You can tell the students really put their heart into making the whole event feel welcoming and organized. We also stopped by the Farm Store on our way out and stocked up on fresh produce, wine (they grow their own grapes!), and some amazing pumpkin bread.

Got there when the event first open, crowd was too massive and was able to take some really great pictures in the Pumpkin area. The petting zoo was really fun- Goats and herds of sheep were walking around the petting area awaiting to be fed (really liked the cleaning station near the exit for easy hand washing), animals were really mellow- which created a fun environment for kids. Agreed with some reviews; the entrance fee is a bit pricey, though I did enjoy this festival

First time at a CA Beer Festival. Decided to go because it is CRAFT beer. No Corona, no heineken,…read moreno bud lights, yuck. Unlimited US breweries serving their signature beers by design. Again, UNLIMITED. There were over 30 canopies where most breweries served at least 2 types. Many of them had won Gold in numerous competitions, which makes me very curious what made them so special. Stand in line. There were not only beers but a wine tent, Mike's Hard Lemonade and Cayman Jacks margarita (would've never tried this but it was SO REFRESHING I would get this for a party). OH, not to mention a ton of free cigar samples we got, from Swishers. Blueberry is my fave. The one time to promote their beers, the perfect plan to take a step ahead of the growing competition of the best craft. Come for the experience. Get a souvenir cup of 4 oz, with a mark at the 3oz line allowing for foam to dissipate. ALL tents filled the cup to the 3oz or more, some spilled, multiply that by about 12 cups tried, we had 33 oz+ of beer (=1L the size of a German stein) Difference is, these were ALL different. Amber, IPA, Lagers, ESB, Belgium...... Got tipsy? you bet. Craft beer is usually strong, one even had a 10% ABV! THE FACTS: -5 of us got alcohol rights plus one designated driver! -Long lines but moved fast. -Drink start pouring from 1pm-5pm nonstop -Live music throughout -Hint giving free bottles of cold water -6 food trucks (I got the German currywurst+german roll, not like the authentic but good still); friends got Indian, southern BBQ, wraps... -XIOS energy drinks for free, sunglasses, bags, stickers, all sorts of promotional stuff - Check in on YELP, got more stuff -Other food tents -Getting tipsy/drunk guaranteed -Finally finding out what that beer you always saw at the alcohol aisle tasted like! at least for me it did - Unmistakable California vibe, love it! NOTABLE: - Karl Strauss Brewery from San Diego, CA (Red Trolley Amber and Pintail Pale Ale) - Firestone Walker Brewing Co - Cayman Jacks Margarita - Angel City Brewery - Grand Teton Brewery - Goose Island - Winner of the Competition announced at the end, Dale Bros. - Honestly can't remember most of the names We mixed wine, beer, whatever is in Cayman jacks and Mike's Hard Lemonade and topped it off with cigars. Got hungover by 6pm. A fun experience, but i might've set my expectations too high having been to Munich last October. Kudos to American brewery. We then went on to jump into a friends pool, clothes, sunglasses and all. That's how far the alcohol went.

I liked the set up as the booths were close together. We recently went to a beer fest in San Diego and you had to walk like a mile between each booth and that cut into our drinking time. They had a band playing some great cover songs and a giant California bear taking pictures with people. The tickets were $40 ($35 presale) and it included hours of unlimited tasting. They even had Guinness flavored ice cream for sale! Overall, great festival for any beer lover.

Held at the Fairplex in Pomona, the fairgrounds are massive. Parking is super simple and you can pay online to avoid a long stop in line. First stop for us is always the Flower and Gardens building. Always a fantastic theme mixing greenery and artistic creations. RCS is the carnival operator for the fair and they have a fantastic selection of rides and games. There is a tremendous selection of food along the midway, in the vendor areas, and even in the buildings. There are 8 or 9 buildings to go through with vendors, stage shows, a skating rink, etc. Nice to get out of the sun for a bit and relax while shopping. Up on the Hill there is a magician, a silent disco, and the Tree Circus where you can learn all about trees and what they give us. Highly recommend catching a show of theirs. There was a pirate act, an extreme dog show, the Magic Bean magic show, and Megan the Bubbleologist to entertain the crowds. We got there right when it opened and left around 8 PM on a Saturday. Tired feet from walking but so satisfied after a long fun fair day.

It's a pretty large fair with tons of food, activities, entertainment, and vendors to check out. Costs can definitely add up if you go on a lot of rides, but I mainly spent money on food, which wasn't too bad. Some of the fun attractions included the dog trick show, pig racing, and the animal petting area. There was definitely plenty to see and do throughout the fairgrounds. I ended up buying the Costco deal, and it was honestly an amazing value. It included 4 tickets for $65, about 20 game tickets, and a free discount book. Definitely worth checking out if you have a Costco membership. Also, parking is best purchased online since it's around $22 online versus about $28 at the gate. One thing to note: they seriously lack water refill stations. If you bring a reusable bottle, it's surprisingly difficult to find a place to refill it. I only came across one station in the entire venue near a bathroom.

It's a few dollars cheaper online compared to day of. They check ID and have bag check up front for saftey. Dressing up is not mandatory but adds to the atmosphere. Drinks range from $17-$25 for beer depending on if you want a cup or souvenir plastic stein. There venue is both indoor and out, so if you're outside wear layers like a thin flannel or cardigan. There are plenty of beer and food booths so lines go fast. I really like the outdoor stage where polka band lead by Festmeister Hans played a variety of oldies and modern hits with a polka twist. I feel like it's a welcoming environment, like how everyone on St. Patty's day can participate in drinking although not of Irish decent... everyone can drink together although not of German decent. Getting a giant pretzel with cheese sauce and a bratwurst with sauerkraut is almost as mandatory as the beer just expect to pay a premium price. It's something to do for the fall and and good for groups, just go early if you want a seat at a table.
