This time, I knew it would be covered by our extended warranty so I brought it in with me, told them we had this warranty and left it with them. They kept the car an extra day to diagnose it. The next morning, they contacted the warranty company. The company was not prompt in getting back to them (not MSN's fault). The problem came once the warranty company approved the repair, they fixed it, and called to tell me it was ready. Their charges were higher than the warranty would cover. I told them I would pay the difference. But when I went to pay, they told me they wouldn't release the car without payment in full! What? They tried to hold the car hostage until the warranty company sent them a check. Who knows how long that would take, but they knew this before they ever diagnosed the car. They said NOTHING about this until we were ready to leave with the car. And then, Mike Newbold didn't have an explanation as to why they didn't tell us this in the first place. He just said "I've been burned by warranty companies in the past". I asked why he didn't mention that they wouldn't accept payment from the warranty company when we first came in (and I handed it to him). Complete silence. WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THIS! His wife chimed in that warranties aren't really good and people shouldn't buy them. We are never going back. If you have an extended warranty of any kind, you should not either. I had to pay the entire amount out of pocket and now I'm working with the warranty company to be reimbursed. This is not how they are supposed to work. Angry, you bet. Frustrated? More than you can imagine. All Mike had to do was tell us that they wouldn't accept the warranty! We would have gone elsewhere and saved this hassle

If you have any non emissions related service they will prioritize those over your other services every. Single. Time. I've tried booking first thing in the morning, the person opening didn't show up till about 25 minutes after open. Most recently I came in for a scheduled brake service. I waited around for 30 minutes after my appointment time. The person I first spoke to said they'd be back, after waiting so long I went to leave only to have them stop me and claim they could squeeze me in and finish the job in about 45 min. Since they prioritized emissions testing walk ins I ended up waiting a total 2 hours and 30 minutes for something they told me would take 45 minutes total. I would have kept walking if the technician didn't lie to me. Lesson learned. Do. Not. Get. Your. Brakes. Done. Here. It's a real shame because they use to be so great in the past at this location. I'd come here for most regular maintenance. I hope they turn it around back to the good service they use to provide in years past.
