Stopped by The Varsity Club on a Saturday afternoon with some friends, and you can tell right away why it's a town favorite. The service was excellent...quick, attentive, and full of that small-town friendliness you don't always find anymore. Smiles all around, and we felt genuinely welcomed from the moment we walked in. I kicked things off with a sweet tea, and it was just right...refreshing and on point. Food-wise, it landed somewhere in the middle. My friends shared the Buffalo Chicken Dip...looked great when it came out, but it just didn't bring the flavor you expect. The salads, though, were huge and very fresh...definitely a strong point. I went with the breaded spicy garlic wings, and they delivered...tasty with a nice kick. Also tried the Cameo Deluxe Pizza alongside the wings. The pie was fair overall, but they didn't hold back on the toppings, which I can appreciate. All in all, it was an enjoyable time surrounded by friendly folks and a welcoming atmosphere. If you're in Willard, it's worth stopping in...just come for the experience and good company as much as the food. read more

We've driven by this place a hundred times and never stopped...thinking it was a private club. Boy was I wrong! It's bigger than it looks inside, sports bar atmosphere. Clean and nicely decorated. I had the perch basket and received 4 good size filets, ample fries and home made coleslaw for only $12.99. Rivals any expensive seafood restaurant in quality and taste. My wife loved the taco salad. This hometown favorite is always a nice option. With a lot of variety from wings and pizza to burgers and waffle fries, who would think their Saab and perch were just as good as their hot bacon spinach salad?? This is a must visit when visiting our small town. You can't miss it! read more

It's been a while since I placed an order here because of previous order being messed up and not taken care of. But we wanted a good burger tonight so thought we'd give it another try. I should have known better. My lettuce, tomato, and onion were on the bottom bun of my burger (I paid extra to add these). They were wilted so got tossed and I cut up some of my own to add. His burger had none of the condiments that were supposed to be added, so had to add our own. My 10 fries were cold as well as his waffle fries (they got tossed). I hate complaining but I only what what I've paid for. Now for a positive, the burger itself is actually amazing! So maybe going in to eat isn't as bad as having food delivered. Or maybe they could put the lettuce and such on the side for the customer to add themselves. read more

Got carry out..I have never had worse wings...they were under cooked..smh...I have been there 3 times and each time was WORSE!!!! First time ,the steak , over cooked, gray ,like it was steamed...2nd time..everything I wanted they didn't have so I went somewhere else....now the wings...YUCK... I won't eat there again. read more

Coming home to see the folks, there aren't a ton of options that to hit that can fill both sets of our needs. We're looking for some ice cold beer and decent food, and they're only looking for the latter. Varsity Club delivers on most meals, which I can say with confidence after eating upwards of 8-10 meals. The Varsity Club focuses on bar food consisting of mostly sandwiches, wraps, and some pretty tasty pizza. They also have a decent full bar, with 6 or so beers on tap (mostly domestic). While I wouldn't say the food is otherworldly, with the lack of options around, it certainly stands above the rest of the crowd. I'd recommend the pizza, buffalo chicken wrap, and anything that allows you to grab some fries. They also feature a fair amount of lunch specials, with an occasional pizza buffet. The service is usually quick and with a smile, and it's worth a stop. read more

Went for supper with my husband and mother. Mine and my husband's food was okay, but my mom ordered the boneless Buffalo chicken wings and she said it wasn't good. As soon as we got to the car she said she didn't feel well. 5 minutes later we were home and she was in the bathroom for the next 3 hours with diarrhea and vomiting. (Let me add she was feeling great all day until after she ate there!!). I immediately called the restaurant and told them them the Buffalo chicken wings were bad and to please not serve them to anyone else as my mother was very sick from them. The girl said she would have her manager call me back.....I'm still waiting on the call!!!!! Come on man!!! My mother is 90 years young, this could have turned out really bad for her!!!! This place has a bar side, a restaurant side, and a banquet room. The bar has big screen TV 's and high tables and chairs. There is an outside patio as well. I recommend the wings and the Cameo pizza. The wings are huge. Unless you're really starving, a basket of 5 is plenty. Cameo's pizza rocks! Lots of choices. You can even get whole wheat crust with cheese and broccoli which is my personal favorite. Excellent. I have also enjoyed their taco buffet which was really quite good. I did one of the holiday buffets. I think it was Easter time. It was pretty pricey for what you got. read more

We went on a weeknight when there were about 4 tables filled. We ordered an appetizer and waited 40 MINUTES for it to come! Appetizer was hot. The food arrived after and was warm. I'm not sure if they messed up the our appetizer and had to fix it or what, but waiting at a table for 40 minutes with an 18 month old is not fun! My biggest pet peeve at a restaurant is a long wait for food and waiting with a baby just about pushed me over the edge. Food was decent at best. read more

The service was terrible there was only 15 of us and we all got simple meals and there was not even a crowd. It took them 30 minutes to just get the drink order in then it took another 30 minutes to get us our drinks. Right after we ordered it took 1 hour and 25 minutes for us to get our food. We got no refills on drinks even though we asked 15 times. The employees were rude and on their phones the whole time. Ounce we all ate it took another 20 minutes for them to get the bills and then 15 minutes for them to give us back the bills. Overall I wish I could give them 0 stars but I can't. My dad and I stopped for lunch while in the area. I can't understand the negative reviews. Both our meals were on par with the price. I had the spicy chicken wrap and he had the club sandwich. The club sandwich was quite large and my wrap was certainly adequate. Service was good for the type of place it is. The building could use some love but let's face it: it's a bar. I get take-out from Varsity Club weekly. Typically i get a chef salad and it is always delicious and fresh. I would recommenced their food. I've dined in as well and everything i've tried was very good. read more

Need to get it together!!! Waited 45 minutes to a hour on food. The sad part was no one was in there. Employees need to put cell phones away & help each other out. Team work!!! Not going back. read more
