They have the French fries they have always had. They are good, BUT another new item is our fresh cut fries. Monday they run a steak night. Specials on steaks starting at 4pm. Wednesday is chicken wing and their new hand dipped fresh cut chicken chunks. Breakfast is served all day. Best sellers for breakfast is "Bobs mess", the pancakes and the big breakfast. Friday and Saturday nights they run prime rib. People come from other towns for prime rib. It's the best. They have other specials on Friday & Saturday the prime rib seems to be 1st choice. Only the expensive bottles were left. We asked for a glass and received a lot of pressure to buy the bottle (which we didn't). "We use a small plate sharing system here and typically advise customers against selecting the same items". We said, "tough luck" and ordered it anyway. After that strange interaction, the server's attitude shifted, and she made various off-hand, borderline rude comments throughout our experience. The food...... I ordered the "chicken ramen" and was horrified by what I saw. After living in Japan for nearly 10 years, I have high expectations when I hear the word, Ramen. They literally used instant noodles. INSTANT NOODLES! There was some chicken and veggies in it, almost no soup. It was similar to the dressed-up ramen noodles I would make in college. Over $20 for dressed up instant ramen folks. My wet burrito was a medley of traditional Mexican flavors served with a side of perfectly-cooked Mexican rice. I asked to sub fajita veggies for meat and they accommodated with no problem. While most people go crazy for cheese, I gotta admit the red sauce on the burrito was the star in my opinion. My husband got the molcajete and it was bubbling hot with cuts of steak, chicken, and shrimp cooked alongside onions and peppers topped with a mound of cheese. It could easily feed 2 people! Creative: Like any Mexican restaurant, they find creative ways to appeal to gringos. In this case, it's through their drink menu. We had a Black Magic Margarita served with a slice of lime floating atop a scoop of ice, topped with a gummy frog so it looks like a frog on a lily pad.
