Would give ZERO stars if allowed. HORRIBLE experience. Big…read morelong story, but they left me stranded in a crappy area in La Puente for 5 hours before finally telling my husband, who was at home calling them because my cell phone was about to die, that they weren't coming. Thank God for Pro Towing in Chino. They got to me in less than half an hour.

COVID Price gouging alert…read more Okay so are all impound based tow companies monsters that steal from the poorest people knowingly and without remorse? Absolutely. Are tow companies that accept police tows even worse? Yes. But this thousand year old family business is charging me $300+ to get back the $500 car I had parked OFF-STREET for 1.) Them driving my car, not towing, driving it under 2.5 miles (for comparison Lyft charges $7.31! For the exact same drive) plus $39! A day that I don't pick it up - but for customers VOLUNTARILY doing business with them they charge $25 a day according to their own website. Plus like a $75 fee muttered indecipherable over the phone for 3+ days, to make sure that anybody poor can't earn money fast enough to spring their car from here so they can sell it and profit off of generating homelessness. IT GETS WORSE. I am in AGONY from medication discontinuation syndrome to the point i can barely stand up. My wallet and my meds are IN MY STOLEN CAR THAT THEY STOLE. So I call and tell them this and that I don't have an ID because it was stolen, and they say that my name is not on the registration yet. To test how evil this business was I didn't say but implied that maybe one the meds in the vehicle was for HIV - it's not, it's an SNRI psych med with excruciating withdrawal synptoms, but they didn't budge. They are literally willing to let you die of AIDS in the dirt for the sake of squeezing the last few hundred bucks you have in the world out of your now-dirty homeless pockets. The only real filth though... well you know. I was THERE when they took it, against my stated objections. THEY KNOW WHO'S EFFING CAR THIS IS. But the more obstacles they create and the more they made me suffer, the more they are legally able to charge me to buy back basically the only possession I have left in the world after this brutal pandemic. Next time you see a bunch of dirty homeless people lying on the sidewalk, don't ask yourself why they are there. They are in that state because LA not only fails to help people who are at the end of their rope one missed payment or impound like this away from losing their job and ending up sleeping in a vacant lot, we ACTIVELY and AGGRESSIVELY HARM these people and ADD TO THEIR NUMBERS with virtually every interaction the public and private sectors have with the poor. Did you know 911 isn't able to bring medication to you? You have to go to the ER even if you know exactly what you need and are in great pain because it was illegally seized from you. And you can't get it from your own car because the effing DMV is no help either and was closed for moths altogether when you still had the resources to get everything taken care of there. So these guys are basically as bad as bail bondsmen. Absolutely remorseless predators; Sociopathic capitalist greed and public graft together at their worst. California is FUBAR. Reported to DCBA for gouging, but the fact that the impound was completely illegal (per federal injunction) in the first place will likely not be addressed for years. Don't think of LA as a nice liberal city. This place is as uncaring and Dickensian as London in his time. Will be suing this business as well, mostly just to see if I even have a single legal right and now that I don't have piles of money (as far as the filth that operates this business knows anyway). I will destroy this business and those fundamentally similar to them if it takes a lifetime to do so, perhaps even if doing so literally kills me. Then we'll see how they like it when one of their competitors impounds the van that they live in with all of their possessions and tells them it will cost more than the van is worth to get it back plus more than they make in a day every day it's there. And that they won't release it to them because they need to go to the DMV first and get a new copy of their license, knowing it is not possible for them to do so without the car.
