I used SGV towing via AAA for a battery issue I was having. They came 10-minutes after I reached out to them and they were fast and efficient. The gentleman who came to help me out with my car was very informative on what was going on. He was able to replace my battery but mentioned to me that I needed to still change out my alternator as that was the main issue with the vehicle. Called back and then they gave a new 2 hours ETA 6pm. Called back at 645. And was informed that San Gabriel Valley had refused tow. They never informed us. I call again and again they gave us a one hour ETA Again they did not show up.. now it's 10 pm. They never show up or notified that they still would not tow us. All said and done San Gabriel towing should have called and give us a notification that did not want to tow. AAA should not renew the contract with them as a preferred tow service. read more

Poor customer service. I called to let this company know that AAA okay'd me calling them to see where my tow service was and to see if I could obtain an ETA. Basically, the rep heard only what he wanted. Cut me off and kept talking over me. Determined the best solution was to cancel my request with AAA prolly because I stated exactly that -that he was cutting me off. That he was making the decision not AAA? Didn't want to hear that AAA has a special request in the system for me. I'll cancel this and I won't take this order. Okay whatever...LO QUE SEYA. I was given an ETA with AAA that it would be 45mins. I called at 3:09pm and it was 518pm. I provided this info to SGVT, 2-3 hours then 45 mins then 2-3 hours then 45 mins. He told me that they were really busy. Very very busy. Okay so when do you think another 2-3 hours? "2-3 hours yes. You know what? We're too busy for you. So I will cancel with AAA we are too busy for you." That is just crappy service and unacceptable behavior for any company to do to any customer. So I thought I would make everyone aware that these AAA contracted people just are awful. Do not break down in this area if you live far away because they don't care and you're not a priority if it's a long distance tow on a weekday or Friday night. They are money hungry and prefer the local work only. I don't appreciate having a service where contractors tow companies have the power to decide for AAA on how my experience is going to be. I just received a call from with triple A asking if I was satisfied with my recent service and the driver from another towing service. I was told I'd receive a text message with a survey link asking about my service. I called back (626) 969-5921 and let Sandra know the guy was late and I was watching and waiting the map that shows where the truck was at and had to call Triple A to let them know the truck didn't move all hour even though my notifications said he would be there in 6 minutes then 9 minutes then 6 minutes. She told me to add this to the notes in the survey link that I would get. I didn't get the link so I called back and asked where's the survey link and they told me, "You may get it, you may not, it's random." What was the point of this call other than to waste my breath and time and get me worked up about something that happened 2 days ago? Now I have to call ACTUAL Triple A to make sure my complaint is heard even though I wasn't even going to mention anything in the first place until they called. BEWARE! Last night one of their drivers nearly ran me and my brother off the road leaving a huge gash in his car. It looks like his car was attacked by a giant can opener. At the scene of the accident he was given only the company card, no insurance. After he called the number on the card the manager on duty gave him the contact info of the driver with instructions to ask him for the insurance info. The info he was given was an expired insurance card with the promise that if we went to the company office we would be given updated insurance info. This was not the case. After several ignored phone calls we went to the office where we were left to wait until someone finally remembered that we were standing there and asked us what we were there for. Once we explained they immediately took us back to a body shop on the same property to get an estimate all the while telling us that this happens all the time. While the mechanic seemed very nice what we really wanted was to go through official channels to get our car fixed. We went back to the office to ask for the insurance info. The woman at the office reiterated several times that they would not be able to get us that info and that we need to go through our insurance ( we will) . The operation is overall very shady, employees were unhelpful and rude and it seems all drivers drive without proper proof of insurance which is illegal. read more

Not sure why they don't have better ratings. My experience so far has been awesome considering the situation. Having transmission issues on my 05 Corvette. Flat bed was sent first, which I should have said something about. Not sure how they would drag it up, but that is on me and AAA dispatcher. Flat bed driver was there pretty quick and tried to get her into neutral. When he couldn't, clearly told me what I knew instinctively but didn't make the right call. He said he didn't want to drag it on the bed and was very apologetic. Pretty cool that he felt that way. Then the dolly lift driver showed up and was very specific about the issues since my car was so low. He too tried to get her Into gear for me, but once her realized he couldn't was very careful about the lift and tow. Super cool and careful. I called AAA on July 20 for a tow in San Dimas They sent San Gabriel Valley towing. Eric was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful in identifying what was wrong with my car. It was way above and beyond what a simple towing service would do! And then he and I watched as my husband walking through a crosswalk was almost killed by a speeding car running a red light. Eric ran with me to my bruised and bleeding husband, stayed with me through the police report until the EMTs and ambulance personnel had come and gone. My car sensor came up my dashboard and stated I had low tire pressure and when I arrived to work I couldn't figure out which tire it was. A couple hours later, I came out to check again and my left rear tire was definitely flat. I called AAA to have someone come out to help me put my spare tire on. "Sum-buh-dee help meh, I have a flat ti-yah" in my best gecko voice LOL. After hanging up with the AAA representative, I received another call from San Gabriel Valley Towing stating that someone will be arriving in about 10 minutes. They also asked to confirm if I had a spare tire and I did. Less than 10 minutes later, I saw the tow truck arrive. The truck itself looked impressive, shiny, with the AAA emblem all over. I can't remember the guy's name, but he was very professional and nice. He got the spare tire from underneath my car, checked its pressure, put some air in it, and put my flat tire in my car. Apparently, I ran over a bolt sometime on the way to work. He also recommended a couple tire repair shops that could fix the flat tire if I didn't already have a regular place I go to. I had a good experience with the driver who came out to help me after an accident. He was helpful and everything was going well. However, when I got the car back from the autobody repair, the second set of keys the office INSISTED that I leave with them, IS MISSING. I have called the other places the car has been after the yard, to see if the key is there, and they only had the one key. So, somehow the office has misplaced them. The towing person "Kenny" was amazing! He was very professional, efficient, polite, kind, knowledgeable and overall just an awesome man! He showed up to my rescue within 15 minutes of my request for a tow! When he showed up he helped me figure out the problem with my car, gave me advice, mechanic secrets and even offered to help me shop around for the best prices! As we were conversing about how my car stopped working, He popped the hood and got my car to start again! He explained the problem and gave me such valuable advice- he genuinely cared! We called AAA and requested another tow truck, they sent ROY who showed up quick to my location. He took his time and made a call to find out how to put my car in neutral (since my car was stuck in gear) to have it towed on his flatbed and in no time he had it hooked up and ready to go on his tow truck. If you call to speak with Pamela Elias or Julia do not expect good customer service. These individuals work in an industry where people are upset because they've been involved in car accidents, however they do not provide good customer service. The CHP called for a towing to come and tow our car. when they arrived, they look at the car and they could not tow it because it was too close to the emergency barrier and did not want to damage the car. We told them that were would be liable and sign a waiver, say they would not make them liable and he said his boss told him not to touch the car. The worst part is they lied to the CHP and told them we told them not move the care. We were lucky that the same Officer came out to use again. We told him what happen and he showed it how they had lied. My car was parked in the back of a narrow apartment complex and he was able to load my car with no issues! Very kind and friendly!
