24 hr home care is simply amazing. My elderly aunt went down hill rather quickly and unexpectedly on New Years' Eve weekend, and due to it both being a holiday weekend and the fact that she wasn't quite at crisis level, we were fighting with hospice to get the in-home care she needed. On a Monday evening ON A HOLIDAY, I called in at 6pm and got Lilly Schoenheit. Lilly was supportive and responsive and immediately sent over the paperwork. Within THREE HOURS we had a care provider for the first 12 hour shift (9 - 9)! I can not stress how important this timing considering that later that night, it was the start of the end, in every way. The next morning, due to how quickly they had gotten us a care provider, they didn't quite yet have someone lined up for the next 12 hour shift so the previous care provider, was required to stay. This in itself was amazing, but when you're still smiling and changing adult diapers after 20 hours - it speaks to the EXTREMELY high caliber of the care provider. But the amazing support didn't stop there, now that we were on a regular business day - our case was assigned to a regular case manager - Diana Avakyan. Diana was nothing less than a lifesaver. She kept in constant contact, respectful of the difficult time but also understanding that in a trying time - minimal or no communication is the worst thing possible. She kept following up and letting us know the status of the care provider schedule, even just calling to say she was working on the schedule, and by the end of the next shift - she had worked out care for the rest of the week! She was always around and ALWAYS available to take my call when we just called in with questions or status update requests and never was anything less than fantastic, supportive, extremely nice, and unbelievably patient with all the calls. Never once did we feel like we were burdening / bothering them, they had become our surrogate support network. A few days later my aunt declined even quicker and hospice finally kicked in, and so we cancelled the service. However, the fact that a 24 hour care facility is a 'use as you need' service with NO fee to cancel, is nothing short of spectacular. We were able to use them for what we needed, and then not have to worry about spending extra in the end. In fact after cancelling, one of the care providers scheduled to come had not been called by accident and showed up to assist when Hospice was already there. She was sent home with assurances to us and the family that she would still be paid, but that we would not be charged. Needless to say, we were in awe by this point with them, but had to turn our focus to the beginning of the end. Two weeks later Diana followed up - guessing correctly that my aunt had passed - but she called just to see how I was doing, how the family was doing, and to let us know that we were in there thoughts. That was extremely touching. Having now watched my grandparents and aunt pass, I can not stress enough in that trying time - how important caring and responsive health professional providers are. I only wish that 24 Hr Home Care provided hospice services, as they were more responsive, organized, and pleasant then our hospice provider's office! I cannot recommend them enough, nor thank them enough. They work long hours to make sure that the family / patient are well taken care of, and it did not go unnoticed by myself or the family. read more

Whether it be 9pm on a Saturday night, or needing an associate to come meet with a family immediately, no questions were ever asked - instead, it was pure dedication to the service they provided and the people they could help. Being able to match personalities, especially across wide age gaps between the elderly and the caregiver, is no task that can be perfected. However, the preparation that went into the process, starting with their 24 point screening process where they actually meet all caregivers they employ, made it much easier to trust the fact that the person showing up at the home was going to provide exceptional care. Our whole experience with 24HR HomeCare was so amazing, and comforting. My father was at home in hospice care. Our Social Worker came (we had daily check-ins with either a nurse or the Social Worker) and let us know that the Home Health Aid that was scheduled to give my father the sponge bath would not be there until Thursday. This was a Tuesday and he hadn't showered since the previous Friday! We were very concerned, because while my father was not really coherent at that point, he would not have liked the condition he was in. The Social Worker gave us a few numbers to call, thankfully one of them being 24HR HomeCare. I called a couple of the other places and did not get a good feeling from the person who answered the phone. My mom called 24HR and was met by a very professional and kind woman who listened to what we needed and told us she would call us back with a time that someone could come out. She asked if we needed a man or a woman, and my dad is a pretty big guy so we asked for a man. About 15 minutes later Laurie called us to let us know that Mark would be coming around 4:00 that afternoon. Mark arrived right on time, and spoke to my father letting him know that he was going to clean him up. He did such a wonderful job, and helped my mom and me to change the sheets and set up the sheets so it would be easier for us to roll him over when needed. Mark was soooo wonderful and comforting, and we could tell my dad was so much more comfortable after the visit. Absolute WORST Home Health Care Company that you could ever encounter. If someone recommends this agency to you - RUN FOR THE HILLS !! Horrible experience with this company that after a week I had to fire them immediately. One of dozens of examples : They send out different Caregivers out to you every day - whereas at the initial "free no strings Evaluation" they promise to match you up with a Caregiver that will come out to your home every day !! Total BS ! One day they sent out another Caregiver for a 4 Hour Shift. She actually spent most of the day on her Cellphone and the rest squirreled away in my guest bathroom !! 15 minutes before her shift was over she comes out of the restroom and asks me if I'm hungry. I say yes, in fact I've been starving for the last 3 3/4 Hours. She tells what I would like to eat and I tell her. I then gave her specific instructions on how to prepare the food. 15 minutes later, she tells me that she'll let herself out. She left. Awhile later I need to use the commode and the bathroom door is closed. Never has been in the past unless someone is using the restroom. I open the door and the toilet bowl lid is up. I have a sign, clear as day asking whoever uses the restroom to put the lid down because I have two curious kitties that will race to a commode with the lid up and drink from the toilet. I look in the toilet and see that there is no water inside. Never saw that before ! So I press the handle and the next thing that happens is the toilet erupted up like a mini volcano and putrid, feces filled water comes up along with paper towels and floods the entire bathroom. Here I am recently released from the Hospital after major surgery with only one arm available, getting old towels and 6 rolls of paper towels to put on the floor to try and soak up the mess that this woman made but stuffing one entire roll of a brand new heavy duty paper towels that she had stuffed down the toilet and using it in between to empty her bowels inside so that it would INTENTIONAL CREATE THIS DISASTER in my home. I call 24HR and no one has authorization to do anything about getting a plumber out to my house ASAP. Their advice "Wait till morning and one of our Directors will call you and send out a Plumber, IF THEY DETERMINE IF IT WAS THE CAREGIVER'S FAULT !! I told this idiot who was the Night Shift Supervisor but couldn't make any decisions: "WOULD YOU SPEND THE NIGHT IN YOUR HOME IF IT REEKED LIKE A SEWER ?" No answer. I told her I'm going to call my Plumber right now and have him come out right now a fix this mess. Cam my plumber at 10:30 PM and he'll be here in 45 minutes. Now my Surgeon told me that I needed to be in bed by 11:00 PM and asleep. Plumber arrives at 11:45 PM and starts working on the toilet for 2 1/4 Hours. Because he is so thorough he told me that he was going to check my main sewer line with a cable and a scope hooked up to a big B&W Screen for free. Completely clear. He told me that the only reason that this happened was due to this Caregiver stuffing the toilet with an entire roll of paper towels. It was a night call and he worked for 2 1/4 Hours and Was expecting a bill of $500.00 !! The total was $195.00 !! Next day I had to fight with 10 people on the phone to call my plumber and pay his bill. I didn't want this sorry assed Company to ruin the excellent relationship that I had with my Plumber. I had to pull teeth to get them to cough up $195.00, call my Plumber give him their credit card number and pay him off. I also discovered that all my house keys and side gates keys were not in the only place that I kept them. I searched for those keys for a 50' radius of where they always were. Then I remember that when this destructive bitch left she said she would let herself out. Only way for her to do that is to use my ring of all of the house keys !! When she left she must have locked the door behind her. The bitch had stolen all of my house keys !! I call 24HR. and tell them what happened and they told me that they have to conduct a thorough investigation. I told them well you better gets your "Investigator's" out here now because I'm not putting my family, myself and my property in danger without having all the locks rekeyed and new locks put on my side yard gates before the day is done. Well first we have to investigate and then meet with our bosses and we'll get back to you. NOPE I'M CALLING A LOCAL LOCKSMITH AND TELL THEM THAT I NEED THEM ASAP TO DO THE WORK and you'll be stuck with the bill. CalEVERYONE NEEDS TO STEER CLEAR OF THIS WORTHLESS COMPANY !! BEWARE OF ENGAGING THIS DEN OF THIEVES, LIARS & UNQUALIFIED PERSONNEL !! NO ONE FROM THIS RIP OFF COMPANY HAS EVER ATTEMPTED TO CALL ME TO RESOLVE ANYTHING !! I gave 3 stars just because our caregiver was amazing.My grandmother loved her and my grandmother isn't easily pleased. The time she was working with her was a weight off our shoulders.She was great. Now for the customer service part of it. I give that a 0 stars! The agency is horrible! No communication skills what so ever! I dreaded calling the representatives.They are all very inexperienced. One of them just made my blood boil every time I spoke to her. Unprofessional! Example: Grandma went to the hospital (flu) they did not notify the caregivers, until the caregivers had to call them. Ridiculous, the representative caused more stress. We decided to go to another agency and we happen to see our favorite caregivers profile. But because of the fine print on the contract. I was in the hospital for two weeks and was about to be released when I began my search for a home care giver. I started calling agencies and found most wanted 3 or 4 days to set it up. That's ridiculous. My hospital found 24 Hour Home Care. They were great. With just one conversation they set me up for the next day. My first caregiver was Jen. Terrific. I felt comfortable immediately and safe. Then the other caregiver Silvanita arrived and again she was outstanding. I used these wonderful women for 6 days. At the end I was strong enough to be on my own. I couldn't have progressed as quickly without their kindness and help. Someone is available from the company 24 hours. Ronak was the company coordinator I spoke to and again he was easy to work with and continued with the comfortable ambiance the company has. I highly recommend this wonderful company. read more

The availability according to the service does not match with the caregiver has to offer. I have been left to eat a cool dinner alone because of their poor communication with her caregivers. Our five star experience began when I spoke over the phone with the caring Diana in arranging short term care following a cosmetic procedure. She organized everything and then came to our home to review all the details. Umar met us at the doctor's office after a 3 hour delay and took charge immediately, drove us home and set up our entire care. His skill and humor kept us from feeling any pain in the first 12 hours. During the day Jane a gentle and unobtrusive caregiver who anticipated all our needs. We have used 24 Hour Care since March when my husband was released from the hospital. Even though we didn't know until the last minute on a Friday afternoon that he would be coming home, 24 Hour Care had someone available for us to that evening starting at 6:00 pm. That caregiver (Angel) spent the first night with us and it was such a comfort to have someone so capable with us that first evening. Angel shared the workload with other caregivers for several months. The next morning the 2nd very capable caregiver (Joan) arrived and was equally competent. Joan has helped out until we no longer needed assistance. Over the months we used several different caregivers and while most were wonderful, if there was ever a time when one didn't work out the office (Marissa) quickly found a replacement. We were looking for 24 hour hospice care due to a horrible mix up with the hospice company my grandmother was signed up for. The lovely girl on the phone explained that 24Hr Homecare provides nonmedical care, however, she took my name and number, made some phone calls, and called me back with information from one of their associate partners that provide hospice care. Unfortunately, it still would have required a doctor's approval, which would have been difficult on a Saturday night. Thankfully, the other company found someone to cover the night shift for my grandma. If we end up needing to switch companies, we will definitely go with who they recommended, and if our grandma was not already settled in a good assisted living facility, we would definitely hire 24Hr HomeCare!
