I went into Maverik off I-80…read moretoday, went to self checkout as I always do and my card transaction failed, it couldn't read my chip, so I swiped it. It said I can't swipe my card. An error message came up and I tried clicking okay, but it was frozen. I said excuse me and called the lady over. She said "you have to use your chip" in a very condescending tone and looked at me like i'm an idiot. Like yes ma'am. I'm very aware, try to hit the okay. Then she just kept tapping the screen like it would change. This continued for at least 30 seconds to a minute. If you're unaware, if you kesp hitting the screen, all you're doing is overloading the system and it already can't complete the first 300 things you told it to do. I asked if I could go somewhere else. She ignored me and at this point yes, I was a little mad because you should know how to use your equipment, this has happened at the Maverik in Green River, and they just restart the system, and take me to another register and it takes the same amount of time for me to leave that she was tapping the screen. Then when I was visibly annoyed, she said "yes you can" referring to when I asked if I could go somewhere else. She was also insanely rude about it. Continued hitting the screen and at least 2 minutes later, she took me to a different register and was rushing me. As someone who works in customer service. You ma'am should not. Learn your equipment and how to be nice to people. With that, thank you Green River staff for NEVER acting like that and entitled.
