I was desperate for coffee, just had left Utah and was starting to traverse Wyoming.

Stop here, it will be your last town for hours! Fast, friendly service and good coffee.

Stopped at this place to do some work while passing through green river. Small little coffee joint with quaint decorations and seating. Ordered a chai latte and regular tea to start. The chai had a overpowering cinnamon taste like drinking cinnamon hearts. Was a little overpowering for a chai tea but it was a concentrate and the ratios seemed a little off. The tea came in a large tea pot with 3-4 cups worth of tea in a cute little setting with pot, cup and strainer. For eats we ordered the green chili crepe and the breakfast burrito with green chili. The crepe came smothered in green chili and filled with cream cheese and though it was an interesting combo the waitress assured us it was tasty. However the amount of cream cheese was heavy handed and took away from the green chili taste. The burrito was a much better mix to have green chili on top and balanced well with the fillings. Overall a quaint place to stop and trivia on the table to pass the time.

Staff just funnin around on Halloween!

This shop is adorable! There's so much character and the owner is amazing! The staff is courteous and the food is to die for! Favorites include biscuits and gravy, smothered green chili breakfast burrito and the baked oatmeal! There is a wide range of coffees, Red Bulls, teas and Italian sodas!!!

Definitely stop by if you're passing through Green River, WY! Driving cross country, my husband & I made a point of stopping at the local spots. We spent the night in Rock Springs, WY and were planning a quick stop in Green River to check out some historic spots. I type in "coffee" in Yelp, came across Get Real Coffee, and knew we had to stop. It is a bit tricky to find, but basically turn into the parking lot directly across from the McDonalds, and go left - its right there with the dancing dogs on the window. The environment was warm and welcoming, there were cards on the tables, and the whole place had such a cozy feel. I ordered the baked oatmeal and was blown away, it was delicious. Our coffees were scrumptious and the perfect pick-me up, 4 days into a cross country journey. While we were paying, we just kept chatting & chatting with the owner and a local who was there as well.

Guess which one is almond milk and which is regular. She is that good.

Hard to find if your new. Directly across the street from mcdonalds. Our GPS steered us slightly off. Don't give up. You will be happy. Owner cares about her reputation and has years of experience as a barista. Very friendly and was constantly wiping, cleaning, straightening while she visited. She has pride in her technique and it shows. A little pricey but she has extremely good quality of product. Even down to very expensive chocolate that she imports for her drinks. Other larger, higher budgeted espresso shops should take lessons in business management and caring about the product you provide. The "S" word should be ashamed.

Stopped here for some coffee and lunch. Very cute and homey coffee shop! I loved the hometown feel of it. The service was great. The lady who took our order was very friendly and answered any questions we had. Coffee first: The coffee was hot and fresh. Little too much foam on top for our taste but- it does make it look good. The coffee cups and plates are cute. Food: we ordered two of the specials 1. Blueberry crepes: WAY TOO SWEET and alot of the blueberries were still frozen?....The crepe itself was pretty well done. 2. Mediterranean quesadilla: Had no cheese in it? Was supposed to have feta....there was just unrelated shredded cheese sprinkled on top. There was way too much going on in this...canned tomatoes, klamata olives, peppers, chicken....not sure what else...the flavors just got kind of muddled in a sea of ingredients. All in all if we were padding through we would probably stop for coffee but we would try the food again. Total for 2 coffees and 2 small lunches: 24$

This place is wonderful! The cappuccino was spot on and the food was delicious! We will definitely come back when we travel through next time!

Overall good place to grab a weekend breakfast. Easy going no frills friendly environment.read more

So, my wife and I, and our 2 kids went to the Hitching Post today for a midday meal. We ordered $50…read moreof appetizers, including the cheese sticks and fried pickles. The appetizers were amazing, and I thought the rest of the meal had to be good. My daughter ordered grilled chicken alfredo. I ordered The Outlaw Burger, my son ordered the mushroom Swiss burger, and my wife ordered the chicken BLT. I'm deathly allergic to onions, as call in the emt's type of allergy. I told the waitress about my allergy, and she said no problem. She brings out my burger with a mound of sauteed onions. Had I taken a bite without looking, I would be in the hospital. All of the fries, for three of our meals, were soggy, and had no flavor. The two burgers were cooked so well done that they had to be gnawed on to eat them. My daughters Grilled chicken alfredo was in a bowl the size of a soup bowl, about half full, with 2-3 little pieces of grilled chicken. This for $23???? The entire order cost us $160 with a tip, and was not worth $40. The only exception was the appetizers, and they were way overpriced. Overall this is the worst meal I have had in the Green River, Rock Springs area, in 8 years. I will not recommend Hitching Post to anyone I know, and they will never have my business again. On a side note, the waitress was watching me do her tip, and kept checking over my shoulder, including taking a side detour, just to see what I had left her. She was nice, but have some class at least.
