Imagine our surprise when we saw this store while checking out Cody downtown. It turns out to be just 2 blocks from our hotel. They have a very good variety and inventory of travel and outdoor performance clothing and gear. We always manage to find something even thought we may not have any specific things to be looking for. In this case, I found a very nice, high tech fabric, short sleeved shirt at more than half off! I bought it and I liked it so much, I wore it that night when we went out for dinner. It was a $40 shirt for just $15.99 and there were no blemishes or seconds. It was perfect! My wife also found a few things as well. These kind folks had just closed the store but allowed us to come in anyway and borrow the eye loupe. We spent a good 10 to 15 minutes discussing a specific piece of jewelry. There was probably nothing in it for the jeweler, but they were so kind and generous with their time. We also had a nice conversation. I think they are solid people and would highly recommend visiting their store and doing business with them if you are looking for a nice jewelry store in Cody.

I live in a large city, so I don't tend to have the best memory of the names and faces of store owners where I shop. Especially when it's just once. I thought this place was really nice and liked the clothing and accessories (hence me making purchases). I do have a vague memory of the woman in the store. She brought me a pair of shoes in my size once and I of course thanked her at the register and complimented her shop as I paid a pretty large sum for my items. I am known for being very kind to local businesses, cashiers, waiters, etc. As odd as it sounds. Over a year later, a few of my friends that live in the area told me that "Moni" was telling people how much she hated me. I had to ask who that was. Kinda shocked me. An entire year after a nice experience in her store and spending money in it, the owner is telling people she hates me. They have all the t-shirts, stuffed animals, postcards, but since it's not getting trucked into the wilderness by the Federal Government, it's at a fraction of the price, with a greater selection! I was also surprised that they don't just sell souvenirs and gifts from Wyoming, but from all fifty states! You can get a Texas sticker right here. Why go? The postcards were very reasonably priced. They offered stamps! My favorite thing about this place was the native American pottery that they had at the front window display. It's exquisite examples of Native American design, but it seems a bit out of place at this gift shop where many of the goods are made in China, labeled with "Yellowstone" or "Wyoming." This place also has a formidable knife / sword shop in the back. Need a ninja blade? Throwing knives? Switchblades? They've got them all. There's enough knives here to become a ginsu chef.
