Shop like a Dutton! This place has all the same gifts you can get in the actual National Park, but for way, way less. They have all the t-shirts, stuffed animals, postcards, but since it's not getting trucked into the wilderness by the Federal Government, it's at a fraction of the price, with a greater selection! I was also surprised that they don't just sell souvenirs and gifts from Wyoming, but from all fifty states! You can get a Texas sticker right here. Why go? The postcards were very reasonably priced. They offered stamps! My favorite thing about this place was the native American pottery that they had at the front window display. It's exquisite examples of Native American design, but it seems a bit out of place at this gift shop where many of the goods are made in China, labeled with "Yellowstone" or "Wyoming." This place also has a formidable knife / sword shop in the back. Need a ninja blade? Throwing knives? Switchblades? They've got them all. There's enough knives here to become a ginsu chef. This is the best place in town to get cheap souvenirs! Psst- even better than the Wal-Mart! read more

This gift shop is awesome. The have a giant selection of nice Native American made jewelry. They also have alot of Native American made pottery. The shop is huge and includes tshirts, caps, Christmas ornaments, figurines, toys...everytype of gift or souvenir you can imagine. If you're looking for a nice souvenir shop in Cody, this is definitely a place to check out. Everyone working in this shop was extremely nice and helpful, too. read more

Cool place, use to be a regular store for town folks now it is a tourist trap. Look hasn't changed since I was a kid but maybe that's good.

Friendly staff and cute offerings. I definitely recommend the huckleberry hard candies - so tasty and there's a ton in a bag so they'll stick around with you for a long time. You can buy shirts and hoodies here as well as tons of local Wyoming souvenirs. I popped into a few souvenir shops in Cody and this one was my favorite. read more

My wife lost her favorite copper bracelet that she had purchased from YGS in 2021. She called the store and Tyler emailed her pictures of bracelets. One matched so we purchased it and had it mailed. Tyler went above and beyond ordinary customer service, especially considering this was not an expensive purchase. We appreciate Tyler's special caring. read more

Great shop! We went in looking for t-shirts and the like and found them and more. They have a very wide selection of items here. Our daughter got me a neat Wyoming shirt for Father's Day. Both kids got a knife, from a very capable gentleman working that section of the store - friendly and smart and helpful... and he provided good advise to both about how to be smart around knives. Variety of items here, but customer service sucks. The manager on duty is a real smart a$$. I bought a shirt marked $9.95 above it as a picture follows, but it rung up $19.95. I spoke with the manager and he said that was for the Wyoming Cowboy shirts only. Why was it above other shirts like the one I purchased? He said it was clearly marked, I disagree... He was rude about the entire situation as well! First and last time here!!! read more

My son and I were interested in getting a good quality knife while in Cody. We had seen the knives for sale in the gift shops in Yellowstone park, and were not impressed with the quality. I looked up 'knife shops' in Cody on Yelp and found this place. There were good reviews so I decided to give it a try. I am so glad we did. There is a sign in the shop called 'Knife Center' and it sure was. There were hundreds of blades to choose from. Ken was there (he was mentioned positively in other reviews), and he knows his steel quality. He let my boys walk around (even behind the counter) and look at everything. He answered questions and showed us all of the safety features of the various knives. He showed us the difference between good quality knives and cheap ones. This is the type of shop you look hard for, because the type of knowledge and value that Ken provides is not something you can get from an online store. If you are looking for a good blade that will hold its edge, come here. On a side note, there are a lot of really neat souvenirs in this shop that my wife and daughters were browsing through, but I was focused on the knives. read more

Stumbled upon this place as we parked the car. After our ice cream we were recharged and drop some bucks in the community. The shop seems to never end. You will be challenged not to leave without something. The prices are really great. We got Yellowstone t-shirts for the whole family at $5 each. They also have a bunch at $10 each. The stuffed animals are really reasonable priced and a huge selection. In fact everything is reasonably priced for a tourist shop. read more

This is a standout among all the shops in the tourist town of Cody. It has everything from high quality goods to inexpensive souvenirs and t-shirts. Very nice clerks, who actually took the time to carefully wrap the fragile items I purchased, for the long drive home. Whey you've got over 2500 miles to go over sometimes rough or dirt roads, with your stuff in the back of your Chevy SUV, that's important. read more

This store seems to have the best selection for just about anything jewelry, knives, trinkets. Always have 50% off sale so either they marked this stuff way up to put it on "sale" or it just doesn't sell. No matter still the best selections for those souvenirs from Cody. read more

What a great time shopping. They have one of the most extensive knife collections I've ever seem. My son was looking for a pocket knife and Ken took the time to help him find one that worked for him and cut him a great deal so it was in his price range. My other son also ended up buying a knife and my husband a sharpener. read more

I was born and raised in Cody, moved away many years ago. Growing up here, we always brought family and friends that were visiting to shop here. I am in town visiting family, I still shop here!! Yellowstone Gift Shop is 1 of my most FAVORITE places to shop. It has one of the BEST selections for buying souvenirs. Anytime our family comes to rown, we shop here 1st. Such a great place to buy Yellowstone and Wyoming souvenirs and gifts! The prices were great and significantly lower than other shops. They have a great wide selection of clothing for all ages. They also have bags, purses, belts, hats, knives, statues/ figurines, ect. My favorite aspect was that they had native hand crafted items and jewelry, and local honey and local huckleberry jelly! I would definitely recommend this to anyone staying in the Cody area. The young girl working the register was also awesome- super helpful and very friendly! read more
