I've been to 2nd Swing a few times now, and truly understand why they come as highly recommended by people who know as they do. The team is fast and professional. The trade-in process is fast and fair. We were able to trade in almost two full bags of clubs - one a well used set of women's clubs and one a gently used set of beginner kid clubs, and received $120 in store-credit. My stepson was able to get a great "new" putter that he loves, and I got my putter regripped. When he needs an upgrade on the hand-me-down clubs he is using as he starts to play, I know where we are going to go. We even got him a great driver cover. We tried ALL the other major name golf places in the area and then tried this location. Service was prompt and no nonsense. We brought in a few old clubs and got a fair price for them and then proceeded to look at drivers. The selection of all types of golf gear is organized and there is PLENTY of it. Clubs of the same brand and line are at varying price points depending on condition. There are scanners throughout the location to check pricing bar codes with ease and clarity. The website was also extremely helpful and also organized and easy to locate options in various locations. MANY hitting bays to try things out. I wanted to upgrade the clubs I had without breaking the bank and I was able to accomplish that! Mike helped me and my friend each get drivers, sets of irons and putters. He understood the difference in my goal versus my buddy's goals and definitely took care of us. I was happy with everything I hit on the simulator based on what Mike recommended and it made it an easy purchase for me. I have purchased new and used clubs here. I have traded in clubs. No tax if picked up in Delaware. Trade in prices values are not what they once were. Some used clubs are too close in pricing compared to buying a new club. The only thing about a used club is you get it right away. 2nd Swing offers fitting services free if you meet the minimum purchase price. There is no pressure to buy any golf item at the store. They just about anything golf new or used. People are friendly and want to help you get the right club. All of my purchases whether they be new or used are quickly obtained. 2nd Swing has a number of other stores and you can have them shipped to their Delaware store at no charge. Check them out. It was my 1st swing at 2nd Swing and I for sure will be back for a 3rd. My experience was too notch start to finish. Upon walking in your greeted by a friendly employee giving you the heads up about the items in the store and their location. They also name folks who are at the helm to support your selection process. We didn't plan on buying, just looking, but everyone was so helpful! I snagged my first set of clubs with help from Jason and Jerome. We didn't have an appointment, but I spent a good amount of time with Jerome in the simulator. We were only allowed to spent like 5 minutes in there, but ended up spending 45+ min! Jerome was super knowledgeable, and very young I might add. Has a great understanding of each club and its capability. If there is a golf club store in heaven this would be it! I loved this place and was able to hit a really large selection of drivers at one session. They have a great selection of used clubs , I haven't seen anything like this place before.... they also have a bunch of simulators where you can usually just walk in and test the clubs. They offer free fittings and I scheduled a session but canceled due to living 50 miles away. If your want to hit the clubs you have always dreamed about , this is the place! I will start out by saying this was my first fitting experience. It was a bit intimidating as I am a beginner but my friends and pros at the club I belong all said I needed to get fitted for a new driver. I definitely felt as if I did not belong because my skill level is so low. Anyway, my fitting was done by James who did take the time at first to match me up with some suggestions which were not surprising. He went through the top brands and the selections you would suspect for each at a beginner level. Where the actual fitting part went into play is comparing across 3 different clubs and settling on the one I was least awful with. :) James tuned the club to my swing. I know I need to work on my swing and he did give me a few tips and drills I could use which will be helpful. The only complaint I would have is towards the end of the session, I felt like I was a little rushed out the door and I never received the report that I was told would be emailed to me. I have since reached out for that but have not received a response as of writing this review. In the end, I feel like I got a nice driver at a standard price (they all seem to be the same everywhere). I just need to invest in lessons. read more

This place is amazing for some new but plenty of used golf equipment. I made the trip down one day to check it out as I've purchased product from their online store before and upon arrival you're bound to get excited. There are literally over 20,000 golf clubs and everything is available for you to hit in one of their trackman bays, literally, they only have trackman. They do offer fitting sessions also on trackman for new as well as used equipment and their fitting bays are insane. Couple leather chairs, lots of room to hit and the trackman info is as good as it gets. All the current iron shafts are available and the amount of graphite looked to be fully stocked as well. Alex the fitter said they are getting more and more shafts in but not everything has been delivered yet. There's so much to see here and so much to hit it was honestly a little overwhelming since I didn't go looking for any one particular club, so taking it all in was immersive. Their "vault" area is jammed with clubs. Tens of thousands of them but thankfully they are tagged on the heads as regular, stiff, extra stiff, ladies and seniors so you only need to look for the tags that work for you. If you're doing a fitting set an appointment with alex as just showing up may be a crap shoot since people are always getting fit for something, at least with your appointment you'll reserve some dedicated time. read more

I used to really like this place. I bought two hybrids, and my three wood here. Everyone is really helpful and nice. Recently though I've found it to be really expensive. Ive been looking at the Mizuno putters. I found one here for $269.99, good condition, but didn't come with a head over or the weight kit like they do new. You might as well just buy it new. I found myself finding many clubs I liked but knowing I can save myself money getting them somewhere else. Like eBay or golf galaxy. You can definitely find some hidden gems, but you definitely have to search. I drove over an hour just to come here and I left with nothing. read more

First of all this place is massive and it has tons of clubs new and used! I had a driver fitting scheduled today with my mind set on buying a new driver. An hour later after trying numerous clubs, I walked out with the club I came in with but cut down one inch. Needless to say, this place isn't in it to simply make a buck. This is the best golf store in Delaware, and maybe the Delmarva area. Went in looking for a new putter and was recommended to get a putter fitting. After 30 minutes with (I think his name was Jason, just moved to the area) he recommended I bring my current putter in. Brought it in and putted with it. He told me it was good but would be great if I took an inch off it to get a better sightline over the ball. On the spot they cut my putter an inch AND saved my grip. I'm putting better than ever with the SAME EQUIPMENT!! He saved me over a hundred dollars and so many strokes off my game. I say this to say how amazing customer service is. Any other company would upsell, where instead they tweaked and just want you to play better golf. Because of this, I will not shop anywhere else. So far, I've had great experiences here. The customer service is actually quite good. I brought in 3 irons to be re-shafted, and they worked well with me to find the right shafts for very low costs. They also came up with numerous other options for me. They have a great selection of used equipment, and lots of new gear too. Other than the key points mentioned above, I love that they are not part of the Dick's Sporting Goods empire, like Golf Galaxy and Golfsmith. Terrible service here and prices WAY too high for beat used clubs. I walked around this store for 30 minutes with a sand wedge in hand wanting to buy it. No greeting or help from anyone working in the store. I also was interested in grip tape and solvent so I was really wanting an employee to engage so I could inquire if they sold it. So I find myself standing at the cash register for at least 5 minutes (felt like an hour). Just standing there with my sand wedge looking for help. Finally another customer comes up to the register with an entire set of irons and guess what happened? The store employee rushes over to check them out first!...totally ignoring me. When the other guy advised another employee was helping him then I was asked if I wanted to check out. Needless to say I just walked out because being ignored and then left standing at the register and then having them wait on another customer before me was not very impressive. So adios 2nd Swing! I've spent the better part of two decades as a teaching pro, Director of Instruction, and Director of Golf in the Philadelphia section. CoVid regulations have made things difficult to say the least. But I was able to get Damon on the phone to order a custom set of irons for a student yesterday. Although it was close to closing time, Damon was patient, and provided an outstanding customer service experience. I tend to stay away from the typical retailers when ordering custom fitted clubs. Most retail store "pros" leave much to be desired in their actual knowledge, and experience. It was very refreshing to find that was not the case with Damon at the Wilmington 2nd Swing location. Damon's knowledge, and customer service were far superior than just "par for the course". He made it a fast, friendly experience for both myself, and my student. Just wanted to say thank you! I went in for a fitting to compare my stiff shaft irons and driver against regular shafts. Bottom line is there was a difference. The equipment to measure my swing was only half of the experience. I was excited to go to the brick and mortar store after seeing it advertised in a commercial. Let me say that the staff didn't disappoint. More than accommodating and fair, they were up and front and honest about my trade-in and justified the reasons behind the pricing. Can't argue with facts and history behind the product. Evan and Pete were quite helpful and I can't say enough about Charles "Charlie" Murphy! Awesome doesn't do him justice! Had a broken driver shaft with a functional head and was looking for options on getting a working driver again. Multiple employees promptly greeted me and one of the employees, Ryan, immediately took an interest in my situation. He took the driver head to the back and in a few short minutes it was fixed! And at a third of the price that I was expecting to spend after doing online research on competitors (Dick's, Golf Galaxy, etc). Their hitting bays were by far the most technologically advanced I had ever seen and the ability to pick up truly any club and go take it for a couple hacks is awesome. I've been playing this game for 30 years and have dealt with the big box stores and the pressure that comes with it. Tom Hannig was my associate during my visit and he was exceptional!!! He listened to my concerns and took immediate action. No sales pitch and no upsell. Turns out I just needed to shortened my clubs and adjust the lie angle and I was good to go -- and that was done while I waited and in record time (thanks Matt -- note the store has 4 Matt's). Prices were very fair and trade in value I received for my old clubs sitting in my basement was acceptable. There was plenty of associates eager to assist customer. My buddy came with me and he got a putter fitting and was very pleased with his service as well. You know how golfers are -- we buy it, use it twice, hate it and then it sits in the basement. I say that because a lot of clubs at 2nd Swing are in "Like New" condition and are priced accordingly. I can honestly say that 2nd Swing EARNED 2 new customers!!!!!!! read more

The staff, variety of golf gear, and the testing facilities are 10 star. The 2 stars are the prices. There is no deal here. Used clubs, some of which have been beaten to death, are way over priced. For another $50 one can get a new one. $229 for a used TaylorMade M4 driver? For another $60 you can get a new one. Trade ins are treated like a used car at the dealership. They give you the worst possible price regardless of condition, dont really clean them up, then stock them for close to new prices. They sell regardless because the psychology is a savings, however minimal. They put the unwanted rejects in the bargain bin outside on the sidewalk and after rummaging thru them you have to go inside to get something usable. It used to be better a couple years ago price wise but now it's not any more. It's all about the money.....and people will pay it. If your game is bad different clubs wont help you, practice will. read more
