This is my go to spot in Delaware for sneakers. I'm a runner and I take good care of my feet legs and body overall. I've been going here for the past two years and this is the only place I'll shop for any sneakers that I need--for myself as well as my kids. I mean new balance 880 guy but it was just introduced to the Brooks ghost. They're so soft in my feet! All the staff practice Covid protocol and are strict about enforcing saftey guidelines. I feel safe when I'm there. The staff is super helpful because not only do they measure your feet every time, they also provide multiple items for you to try and encourage you to walk around or outside for the best feel or fit. It takes a little getting used to, because the average sneaker store doesn't do that, but they are traditional/old-school. I love it! One observation is their prices aren't listed so you got to be careful because it's easy to spend a lot of money quickly. However, i've never returned, second guest, or was unhappy about anything. This is a gold mine in a gym for Delaware sports enthusiasts; particularly runners. I recommend this place if you need a good sneaker for doing anything in! read more

I purchased a pair of running shoes in early December. Due to being out of the country I didn't wear them much prior to leaving and the return time was exceeded. After I wore them, I realized they really did not fit me properly. I also did not have the box anymore. But I decided to go to the store and ask if there was anything they could do for me. I was very pleasantly surprised that they immediately said they would offer me a credit or an exchange . They didn't ask me any questions. They just said they would take the shoes back. I selected the same shoes and a half size larger and they are working out really well. This is an excellent example of how customer service should work. After searching the mall and confirming again that real running shoes are not sold there I sought out a running company and found this one nearby. I was really happy for the welcome and repeated requests to assist me in finding a pair of shoes. I needed to look for myself and take my time. They have a good selection but nothing made in America, just Vietnam and China. I did get a pair of Altras. They sell some products made in America like the Xinglet lighted vest. I got one and ran with it through the woods that night in my new shoes, happy to be back out there. read more

The store look like a good typical running Boutique. Unfortunately the staff not once acknowledged me and actually ignored me as I stood there in front of them waiting for service and took a women who was just wondering through. Of course she was white. It seems like they serve only that clientele and people of color not welcome. When brought this up via the online contact us email, the response was more accusatory and wanted to verify the video footage. My overall experience here was ok. Great store with a great selection of running shoes along with accessories and apparel. I ended up buying some Asics for a half marathon I'm training for. What made the experience just ok was I noticed the staff wasn't very welcoming. They where a bit standoffish especially when my mother greeted one of the men and, he looked at her with detestation. After seeing that I didn't feel completely comfortable. When working in a customer service atmosphere always remember how you treat the customer keeps them coming back. Solid Customer Service!!! Like others mentioned, please don't walk in to this shop and think you are going to buy a $50.00 pair of sneakers, because it just isn't going to happen. In the case of your feet and what you put on them, in my personal experience, you get what you pay for. Having just received my new orthotics from the podiatrist's office, I needed then to start the search for new running shoes. After another round of problems with my feet which resulted in major shin splits and eventually hip adjustment issues, my wonderful New Balance sneakers, the brand that I have lived in for the past 4 years just weren't going to be able to do what I now needed. My podiatrist recommended looking into new brands, such as Brooks and Saucony. My trainer then recommended this place to start my search... I walked out 1.5 hours later with 3 new pairs of sneakers in hand (one for running, one for inside training and one for everyday). They must have some heck of a training program, because the two folks that waited on me were extremely knowledgeable, patient beyond words and insisted that I take each pair for a test run outside on the pavement. Why not 5 stars then you might ask? Well, I have a manufacturer issue with the inside heel lip of one pair and was told that I could bring it back for an exchange. When I got there, the guy said that I described the problem wrong over the phone to him and even though it was still a manufacturer's defect, that a better description of the problem would have been appreciated over the phone. Ummm Really? Sorry I don't speak "shoe anatomy" like someone in the business. His condescending attitude shocked me and I politely said thank you and have a great day when he handed me my replacements. read more

This is a store operated by runners for runners. The employees know a lot about finding you the right shoes and gear - a world of difference from the nearby big-box sporting goods stores. I have to special-order my shoe size; they get it in quickly. Prices aren't especially low, but the expertise still makes this store very much worth visiting. read more

I was on the hunt for a great pair of running shoes that fit well. I walked in on a Saturday and it was slammed. Even with that, I was happy with the service provided. Chad must have brought me out 12 or 15 pairs of shoes. If they weren't perfectly fit he made other suggestions. They even let you run outside or on a treadmill to make sure they are the best pair for you...I'm sure I paid a bit more but it is so worth the customer service provided. I bought a pair there about two years ago and haven't been back since but now faithfully buy my shoes here. read more

Just had a really amazing experience here. I'm a VERY new runner and was experiencing a lot of shin pain with my regular ole sneakers and someone suggested I come here for a fitting. I was nervous, as a novice, walking in but was made to feel really welcome, so don't let that scare you off if you're nervous. I told them about my shin problems, that I was a new runner, and right away they were receptive and helpful. They really went into depth explaining why the mechanics of the shoe I was using was contributing to my shin pain and what I should be looking for in a shoe to resolve that stuff, which I, as a big nerd, really appreciated and enjoyed. The whole process was leisurely, not rushed at all, no pressure to sell me the most expensive shoe either...the man who helped me pointed out what made certain shoes more expensive (cushioning) and we settled on a nice mid-range cushion pair of nikes. I learned a lot about running shoes and walked out with a great pair that I'm really excited to use! I would rate 6 stars if possible! read more

This place is nothing short of awesome! If you are a runner or walker you owe it to yourself to stop in the next time you need new shoes. The staff is exceptional and incredibly friendly. They take all the time you need to evaluate your shoe needs. After talking with you and asking questions about your running needs, injury history, and goals for this next pair of shoes, they will then evaluate your gait for any special needs such as stability, etc. They will then recommend several brands and models and bring them all out for you to try on and take a test ride in. I've been going to running stores for over 20 years in multiple states and this one tops the list. Extremely knowledgeable staff that was able to translate my previous shoe experiences and my current running goals into a pair of shoes that has worked perfectly. They didn't have my size (I have big feet) in the model that I wanted to try, but added it to an order and called me when it came in a week later. To add even more to the personalized service, they surprised me with a phone call the day before my race to wish me luck.
