Part thrift store, part gift shop. We have clothing and accessories for women, men, and children. We have greeting cards, and an ecliptic mix of gifts. We have a lot of jewelry, most of it at wholesale prices. You can donate here at the shop. We benefit local charities. We have donation boxes on Mount Desert Island, in Bar Harbor at the Hannaford, in Townhill at L. E. Norwood, in Southwest Harbor at the food mart. Locally owned and operated. We have been open since 1991, but have just recently moved back to Main Street after a brief time of being open at the Mill Mall. Previous to that we were located in the lower block of Main Street.

Established in 1991.
This store has been owned by 3 different single mothers. It has helped each of them have the flexibility to spend time with their kids and support themselves. It has been in 5 different locations around Ellsworth. Usually just down the street from the last location, but each has been an improvement. We hope you will come to our newest location and enjoy the larger space, as well as the new product mix. We have all the amazing quality clothing we know that you come here to find, but we have just begun carrying greeting cards and a variety of gifts and Jewelry mostly at wholesale prices. We have things for men, women, and children.
Meet the Business Owner: Lass K.
Lass is a mother of 2 amazing people. She managed her family’s business, The Grasshopper Shop, for many years before her parents retired and sold that business, and she bought this store. She was raised in downeast Maine, though she did venture out for a while to Palm Beach, Key West, New York City, and San Diego. She attended Mesa College in San Diego. She came home to recover after a surfing accident, and decided this is where she wanted to have her own family. Lass loves talking to people at her shop, and has a smile and a kind word for all who stop by.
