Awful place please avoid!!!!! My friend and I came here after seeing the photos of their work online, and the designs looked great. Unfortunately, our experience was completely different. From the moment we walked in, the manager never welcomed us. He seemed more interested in watching videos on his phone than helping customers. When we explained what we each wanted, he relayed the information to the nail technicians incorrectly. I had to repeat multiple times that I was only there for a Gel-X removal, yet he kept telling the technician I wanted a manicure. The removal itself seemed fine at first, but afterward I realized there was still a significant amount of Gel-X residue left on my nails. Even days later, I'm still finding random pieces that weren't removed. My friend got a new Gel-X set and mentioned that her technician didn't properly prep her nails before applying the extensions. When she tried to explain the design she wanted, he repeatedly pushed back instead of giving her the chance to show him her reference or discuss the details. The overall experience felt rushed, dismissive, and lacking in customer care. This was one of the worst nail salon experiences I've ever had. They were more concerned about the money that I was paying than my overall satisfaction. Eventually, Diamond stepped in and gave me the name "Tiffany" -- a lie. After checking the salon's own website, I realized it was actually Jenny and Lee who were involved. This level of dishonesty is not just unprofessional -- it's blatantly unethical. I also asked for the manager's name, and no one would give it to me. Not a single person tried to de-escalate the situation. Instead, they mocked me, talked over me, and humiliated me in front of other customers. Two male employees witnessed the entire incident and said nothing. This wasn't a misunderstanding -- it was deliberate, manipulative, and deeply degrading. And the owner? Child if i wanted my nails to look like a 12 year old did them, i would've just stayed at home. They're nice, I guess, in terms of customer service. But their quality of products and skill are extremely lacking. I had to basically come home and shape up my own toenails. And get the callouses off my own big toe. I spent $400 between me and my mom and even she is kinda irritated. I do not recommend. Took way too long for a basic French manicure. And the main reason why it took so long is because Trish (Thuy) fam was sorting through thousand-year-old chrome chip and couldn't find one that actually shows up properly on my nail. I should've known because of how dead the place was at 5pm on a Friday. I SHOULDVE STAYED IN CHICAGO FOR THIS. You couldn't pay me to get my nails done here or anywhere in Virginia. If your techs can't do basic nail things like shaping toe nails and painting a french tip with the simplest colors, why are they working? I wish i could get all of my money back. I schedule an appointment online and when I got there the lady I scheduled wasn't there. I accepted another person after waiting over 20 min. The manicure it self was rushed and they did nothing to take care of my cuticles or prep my nails at all. The quality was bad. The products wasn't places nicely or evenly, it doesn't cover my full nails so after 4 days the product is separating from my nails. Terrible Service I never left mid nail service at at any location! Donny was rough with my nail and ended up hurting my nail and it turned red under the surface and raw. When I asked for help to cover it he was dismissive and mentioned "it's normal" I've never been hurt like that in all these years of nail work! He then snapped at me and said "someone else can do it go over there!" I was so disgusted I left. Do better and treat ALL customers right! I stand by my comment! My nail was hurt unnecessarily during the appointment, and that is not excused by saying a few nails were in "bad shape." You weren't there to know and Donny never said he couldn't fix them! I've had many fills, new sets and gel sets over the years and never had a nail injured like that--especially not while simply getting a design removed, which had nothing to do with my nail's condition. I didn't come there with a hurt nail! ACCOUNTABILITY is key! I went to Divine Nails immediately afterward and had no issues-they were gentle, respectful, and professional. No one hurt my nails, which shows this could've been handled better at your salon. While the gentleman who did mine was very kind and professional, the woman who worked on my mom's pedicure was quite rude. She scolded the gentleman for adjusting the water temperature when it was too hot, insisting she needed to handle it herself. I was greeted upon walking in which was very nice but I had to repeat the things that I wanted done multiple times. I wanted gel x nails and a polish change on my toes with regular polish. The nail tech used gel on my toes. I normally do not use gel on my toes but I thought it was an honest mistake and let it be. My nails are ok. I felt she shaped them nicely but it was ruined by the color inconsistency. I have bubbles in my nails and uneven spots. To top it off, I gave my nail tech free reign on my designs to do what she thought would look nice! I was disappointed to see that she just chose 2 stickers to put on that were not even cohesive and randomly placed without taking time to see how it would naturally flow on the nail. My total was $185 with my 6 year olds mani and pedi. Being a fellow beauty professional I always bring cash to cover the cost and was prepared for the total. My visit to 2Q Nail Bar left much to be desired. Despite requesting an ombré French tip, the technician pushed for a fill instead, saying it was too expensive and why should I waste my money, rushing through the application process. The outcome was disappointing, with uneven, bumpy nails of different shapes and sizes. I addressed the nails being uneven and if she could fix them and instead of making the nails straight she made them even more slanted. The final result came out with visible imperfections like protruding hairs and uneven thickness. Thankfully, I found a nearby salon that was able to salvage the situation. Edit: I definitely asked Lee who was doing my nails for a ombré French tip and she said no it's too expensive and I definitely did go to a salon down the street as soon as I heard that there were no refunds ( LA Nails) they offered way better service and the staff was friendly and understanding of what happened all those pictures were taken on the same day and sent to the owner as well. Do not let Diamond do your nails and toes. I've been going to this nail salon for a year. My regular nail technician quit and move to Florida. I was referred to Diamond. She did OK pedicure but got mad, but I asked her to cut down my big toenail and made one significantly short than the other. I got a new full set with dipping powder. None of the nails were shaped correctly. She didn't smooth over the dip So my nails were very rough across the top.. Within three days the thick coat of gel she put on top of the dip Off. I came back and she was mad that she had to fix my nails. She didn't even worse the second time. There was so many bubbles in the nails. I have been to this Nail place multiple times. Today I came in to get a pedicure and did not want gel polish. The person servicing me said it costs and added $5 to my pedicure because I had gel polish on and wanted regular polish. First you have to take polish off to perform a pedicure and regular polish comes with the pedicure. This is not listed as an added fee in the service book. I have visited this nail salon on 4 occasions, and I've have buffet services ranging from a spa pedicure to the basic pedicure with gel polish & the other bells and whistles. On all occasions I had to as for a drink. It wasn't offered. I requested wine each time and there has always been hesitation. The staff changes as you're getting services. One person will start your pedicure, and then they will switch out to another person and they move all their stuff back-and-forth back-and-forth prolonging the time of the service for me. When I asked for a beverage from the person servicing me she told the front receptionist and I waited and nothing came. I followed up to say did you ask her to get me a drink and she asked the young lady again and which at that point, she went over and got me a small bottle of water. I had also told her that I wanted a glass of wine she never gave me the wine and said that I could not have it because I wasn't getting a service that was high ticket. I don't understand how I can come and get a spa service ask for some wine in which in that point I receive that or a mixed drink that's on your drink menu you can give that to me for the first three services that I get from you all and then when I just come in just running in for a basic pedicure, I can't receive the same treatment because I'm not spending as much money as I did the three previous times it's disrespectful and it's discriminatory for those that come in and may not want a high ticket service. Most of the other nail bars that have wine bars located in the front of their salons offer you wine long as you're of legal age and it doesn't come with whatever service you're paying for there is no competition and I will not return back to 2Q Nail Bar. Beautiful new nail salon in the Woodbridge area. I saw them during construction and was wondering when they'd open up. Currently they have a 20% off special for new clients (you have to sign up online) and the process of scheduling an appointment on their website was very quick and easy.
