Zoom classes are fun and engaging!
    Josy L.

I am not one to normally write reviews but 3-2-1 Acting studios deserves every praise! I signed my 8 year old daughter up for a trial class not even really sure it would be a good fit. She was shy, and very timid around strangers but I was trying to find an activity that would be good for her since sports were not her thing. After 1 class my daughter had a huge smile on her face and couldn't wait to come back. The staff were are extremely welcoming and special. Ms. Mae is just incredible and always makes each of the kids feel special and takes time to get to know them. My favorite part is how Ms. Mae not only teaches them acting skills but life skills as well. My daughter was chosen for their showcase class and it has been such an amazing experience for her and for me to watch her blossom and her confidence grow! I was a bit concerned when the safer at home order was put in place since I wasn't sure how it would work, but 3-2-1 made the transition extremely easy and my daughter looks forward to her zoom classes twice a week! The classes have been wonderful. I highly recommend to anyone looking for an activity for their kid!

I sincerely can't say enough good things about this studio. Every single person who works there has the kindest approach to their students and their parents. My son got invited to join the Showcase Class. With their unwavering guidance they helped my son find an agent. They always showed up and answered any of my questions and gave the best advice. You definitely will be very happy once you join the 321 Acting family. They know what their doing and I'm so so happy we found them. :)

321 Acting Studios has been life changing! The fabulous expert instructors and owner have provided my daughter with a great foundation and confidence. She loves the classes and is eager to continue her growth there. The flexibility with both the option for virtual and in-person has made it so much easier for me. Thanks to 321, my daughter has now been signed to an agency! They not only helped my daughter but assisted and educated me in the process. Highly recommend!

This acting thing is tough (and rough)... Especially if you're new to the industry and starting out as a newbie. So much to figure out - classes, getting representation - the who and the hows, how to market yourself - the what and the where... and then what happens when you get an audition, or callback?! I've learned so much from Brian and the team at BCAS. Brian has had a long and successful acting career. He's figured it out and is passing on his wisdom. Lucky us - the BCAS team lays it all out there. I remember visiting (auditing) different acting schools as I tried to find THE ONE. BCAS was the third studio I visited. Being someone who has major social anxiety, it took a lot for me to put myself out there - but when I walked in, I immediately felt as if I found my acting home, my "family". Brian, John, and Jill knew each student by name. They even knew who I was when I walked in on Day 1. I was impressed. Observing the format of the class, how Brian led and shared raw notes throughout the session, his humor and/but also seriousness with his art, how the group was focused, supportive and positive, and the professional equipment and recording set up, I signed up for my first cycle that evening. I was done auditing any other class/schools. I'm still at the beginning stage of my career in acting, but I know with the Brian's guidance, the different courses/services that the studio offers (accelerated program, assistance on eligibility to become Sag-E, etc.,) my career will move forward. No doubt. As a note: BCAS won't do the work for you. They'll be there as a tool and resource for you to succeed. But YOU have to put in the work. So there's that. Get to work. As I tell my kids, "If I'm not having a blast, I'm not doing it." Good Luck friends!

Then the lady from the front came to ask me to move in case one of my younger one needed to get up during the show. Fine, but I wish she would have thought of that before I sat down, maybe when she saw me walk in with a young child and decided not to look at my ticket. So I settle down in a seat next to the exit. Two minutes go by and another lady shows up. Does not introduce herself at all. She tells me that there is a loud noise at the end of the show and she is afraid it will startle my child and he will end up ruining the show for everyone. (WOW). She rushes through something about exchanging tickets for another night. Lady, I was so relieved to finally be sitting down and now you're kicking me out? I should have asked if there was an age limit for the show or an age limit for the theater. She should have asked me if I thought my child was mature enough to handle a loud noise. But no, I left embarrassed and furious. And she gave the impression that they don't want young people in the theater. Great. Oh and when my husband was exchanging the tickets she said they're for a night when your kids can stay home. Fantastic. Afterwards, I looked it up. It says right on the website that it's recommended for 15 years and older. We didn't catch that recommendation prior to making plans, my apologies. It would have been lovely to be kindly and compassionately addressed before we walked back and forth in front of everyone and got removed from the theater, in front of everyone especially with such an elitist and hurtful attitude.

That amazing piece of advice, so many years ago, changed our daughter's life, and our family's, for the absolute best. For the past decade we have had the absolute honor and privilege of being able to engage our daughter in classes and shows that have grown her in every aspect of her physical, mental, social and creative life - on and off the stage. Theatre 360's entire approach is to develop a child's talents and one only has to see a class showcase or a watch one of their amazing productions to realize that tangible growth is possible over the course of a just few weeks, be it a summer or winter camp and even more so over the course of months in a semester class. When we first started at Theatre 360 we were amazed at the poise and maturity of the older teens in the program and we wondered how these older theater kids had grown-up to all be so well spoken and capable, but now, after years of living and loving her rich theater experiences at Theatre 360, we have found our own child has learned and grown to have that same maturity and poise and we could not be more thankful. For my daughter over the years at Theatre 360 the experience - be it in classes, in a production, or helping backstage -the experience has been one of constant renewal of her interest, drive and enjoyment of theater. We have been floored by the endless energy she brings to her theater work, her drive to push herself to improve, her expanding interests in the deep details of performance, dance, voice, staging, costumes, etc and her deep delight of the entire process every day. Theatre 360 for a decade has been our daughter's second home and we could not be more happy to have been so fortunate to have found it.

I think Graham is a wonderful teacher. However, my rating is due to this company's business ethics…read more I enrolled in a three-week intensive where students are evaluated and placed with a teacher. I made it clear from the start that my only goal was to train with Graham, which requires an invitation. When I asked about ongoing classes, I was told his classes were full, but that I would be placed just below his level and moved up after I completed the four week course with a different teacher. After completing the intensive, my card was charged without my knowledge for an additional four weeks of classes, and NOT with Graham. When I raised this with the office, they pointed to a "subscription" clause in the contract that allowed them to automatically charge my card. This was never clearly explained to me. I only enrolled in the initial program based on the understanding that I would be invited to train with Graham upon completion. Instead, I was unknowingly charged for more classes, with a different teacher, without consent. When I requested a refund, especially since I wouldn't even be in town to attend (which I explained to them) they refused... "No refunds". They told me I could take the classes when I returned to town, presenting that as a generous accommodation. However, they still would not guarantee placement with the teacher I originally requested. This experience felt misleading and very exploitative. Many actors are investing limited resources into their training, and transparency matters. Charging for services I did not knowingly approve, and could not attend, is unacceptable. I ultimately disputed the charge. After months of back-and-forth, they ruled in favor of the school based on the fine print referencing a subscription. That may be technically enforceable, but it was not clearly communicated, and it's disappointing. Mind you I paid for the intensive, additional classes with a teacher I didn't want based on a promise that wasn't fulfilled, and even booked private sessions with Graham.. all within two months. This company could have earned far more from me long term if they had acted with transparency and integrity. They were greedy and shortsighted. Do better.

However, non-members can attend if they accompany a member or receive a pass from a kind magician. I've been here numerous times over the years. I've known members and people that worked here. I've seen amazing shows in the main room & fun shows in the parlors. I've been for dinner & brunch. This time I came with friends for drinks & fun. The Castle is big and there is so much to discover. It's charming & mysterious. Take your time and soak it all in. Grab a drink in the main bar, have a seat in Invisible Irma's Room, and ask her to play you a tune on the piano. The magicians are world class performers with unique talents. House magician Mike is darling and he dazzled us with card tricks, mentalist David Stryker wowed us with his mind reading capabilities, and Richard Turner amazed us with his ability to perform card tricks even though he is legally blind. The staff here are all fantastic and work well together. (Especially, Rose at the front desk.) We were treated with kindness & respect the entire evening. Food & cocktails are top notch. We shared Hummus that came with the softest pita bread, Shrimp Cocktail with large juicy shrimp, House Made Veggie Burger with Beer Battered Fries, and the Four Cheese Garlic Bread. Everything was delicious. For drinks we had: Smoke & Shadows (Mezcal Margarita), Cosmopolitan, Champagne, Manhattan, Perfect Timing (Vodka based), and Caymus Cabernet. A night at The Magic Castle is always a fun time and I think everyone should have the opportunity to experience it at least once. The dress code is strictly enforced and I'm ok with that. I appreciate that they adhere to the standards of the exclusivity of a private club. This iconic Hollywood establishment is famously known for its secrecy and exclusivity, and after finally experiencing it for myself, I completely understand why. Hidden behind the mysterious entrance are some of the most talented magicians and performers you'll ever encounter. Many of them audition for the honor of performing there, and the level of talent throughout the evening was honestly incredible. We're fortunate enough to have a friend who is a member, and although we've been invited before, life always seemed to get in the way. This time, we cleared our schedules and made a full evening out of it and I'm so glad we did. We arrived around 5 PM, valet parked, and checked in with the maître d'. Since guests must be connected to a member, everyone had to be on the guest list and show ID before entering. One thing I absolutely loved was how seriously they take the dress code. Think black tie, cocktail dresses, suits, polished shoes; elegant and classy without feeling stuffy. No flashy outfits or over-the-top looks, just timeless sophistication. Once inside, you're immediately transported into another world. The entrance area has a charming little gift shop with T-shirts, magnets, playing cards, and magic-themed souvenirs. One of the coolest things I learned during the night was that Walt Disney was close friends with the founder of The Magic Castle, which inspired the magic shop on Main Street at Disneyland. As a Disney fan, I thought that was such a fun piece of history. And then comes the famous entrance. You stand before a bookcase, say "Open Says me " to the little owl, and suddenly the hidden door opens into the castle itself. It honestly felt like stepping into a movie. The castle is filled with multiple levels, intimate showrooms, hidden corners, bars, lounges, and surprises everywhere you turn. We ended up seeing five different magic shows throughout the evening, and every performer brought something unique. Some acts were funny, others mind-blowing, and a few genuinely left me speechless wondering how on earth they pulled things off. There's a bar on nearly every level, each with its own vibe. One of my favorite spots had close-up card magic happening right at the bar while people enjoyed drinks and appetizers. Speaking of food, surprisingly phenomenal. We had the chicken club sandwich, calamari, and garlic bread, and everything exceeded expectations. The customer service throughout the entire evening was stellar. Every single employee we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. It also felt very community-oriented, everywhere we went, people greeted our member friend like family. The entire environment felt intimate, nostalgic, and special in a way that's hard to explain unless you experience it yourself. One thing I also learned is that there are a few other ways to gain access besides knowing a member. If you stay at the Magic Castle Hotel bungalows, admission is often included, and occasionally they offer admission opportunities through blood donation events. If you ever come across an opportunity to visit , take it immediately. The Magic Castle isn't just dinner and a show. It's an experience. There's truly surprise and wonder around every corner, and for a few hours, you genuinely feel transported away from reality. An unforgettable Los Angeles experience and absolutely something everyone should experience at least once in their life.
