When I got into my room I noticed a odd smell which I eventually found out was coming from the carpet and the bathroom door didn't shut all the way. When I asked the front desk about changing rooms they stated they were booked, but the guy gave me a cleaning spray solution in a bottle for the odor. He apologized saying that the cleaning crew was unavailable but I could use it to make it smell better. It didn't. That should've been my cue to check out but again, I was exhausted. However the choice was made for me because around 9pm as I was getting ready to rest, I saw a bug in my room by the AC so I killed it and went to bed. Not long afterward I felt something under the covers and pinched it. When I lifted the covers the remains of whatever it was smeared the sheets. 10pm I showed the pictures to the front desk and left. What bothers me the most is that I emailed the manager and called several times and no one has gotten back to me. Do not come here unless you want terrible customer service, a smelly humid room and bugs.

Rooms have a nice kitchenette with microwave, full sink, dishwasher, plates, cups, bowls, and utensils, plus a sponge and dishwashing liquid. Plenty of room to spread out. There's a nearby Safeway if you need groceries. Parking was easy. The cons: The bed was uncomfortable for my wife, she kept tossing and turning. The flat sheet was a weird sheet/thin comforter combo which wasn't tucked in properly and was uncomfortable after a few hours. The room thermostat did not work as programmed. We set it for 66 to sleep but when we woke up groggy at 3, it had only gone down to 71. We turned it off and on, plus used the fan feature, no difference. The room vent is located by the kitchen, not the bed, so keep that in mind. The bathroom door slides, is heavy and does not have a true handle as it can retract fully in the wall. Based on that lack of handle, it was occasionally difficult to close and open. Due to the time, we did not want to try to switch rooms as we had to leave for a family obligation in a few hours in the morning. To the hotel's credit, they reached out immediately after I did an internal survey. They said to not hesitate to contact the front desk as it's staffed 24 hours. I appreciate them hearing my concerns.

My only complaint was that when we arrived there were a couple of things wrong with the room - broken window which let in a lot of noise pollution from the bar downstairs and a phone broken so we couldn't call to get the hotel to help. That said, when we went downstairs, they were quick to help and offer a room change if needed. I'd definitely stay here again - great location and service.

Not sure if there is an ADA entrance at the back? There were no ramps in the front. Parking is available via a third party and at a parking lot nearby (Colonial Parking on 22nd). Staff instructed us to use Spot Hero and we were able to park/pay without any issues.

I am only giving four stars because when we booked directly through the Hilton website we were not informed about limited pool hours. When we checked in we were informed that on weekdays the pool was only open 3pm-9pm, and the weekend only had limited hours as well. On the evening of 7/7 our family was swimming and it was sprinkling rain. We didn't think much of it, nor did the lifeguard that was at the outdoor pool. On 7/9 we attempted to swim at approximately 6:30/7:00pm after the rain had cleared and there was blue skies and sunshine. The pool was closed and locked. We were told that the lifeguard had been sent home and that the pool was closed for the night. This really disappointed us and our kids. This morning at check out I spoke with the manager, Charles. Charles was very understanding and was a great representative for the hotel and brand. He stated that laws in the county require that they shall have a lifeguard on duty when there are people swimming in the pool, and they have been trying for two years to obtain a waiver from the county to be able to open the pool without a lifeguard due to difficulty staffing that position. After Charles explained this to me it made more sense, and I better understood why the pool hours were limited. Charles helped me to understand and made situation right. Charles stated that he will attempt to have the limited pool hour information put on the Hilton website as well. I would recommend this location for families visiting the Washington DC area!

Once we arrived and checked in I realized that the bathroom had a tub and not a step in shower. I booked based on pictures online, so I was pretty sure that the bathroom had a step in shower that my mom would be able to use. However, upon entering the room, I noticed a tub. I went back down to the desk and asked if there was any way possible to switch to a room with a step in shower to accommodate my mom. The young lady at the desk said "yes, of course! I want to make sure that we can accommodate you." Although they were at high occupancy and it was a busy weekend, our room was changed in less than two minutes. No additional questions, no attitude, just excellent customer service. They had me there. Next up, the room. Extremely clean, smelled fresh, no moldy smell or loud air conditioning unit. We had a suite with a king bed and sofa pull out couch which was perfect for our needs. Rooms could use an update but are in great condition. Smart tvs in bedroom and living room, desk area, bathroom with pocket door between toilet/shower area and sink, mini fridge, microwave. The breakfast is also included and had a huge variety...omelette station, bacon, sausage, roasted potatoes, bagels, toast, waffles, yogurt, assorted fruits (green apples, pears, oranges), oatmeal and toppings. Dining staff were on it and replaced food quickly. They cleared tables quickly and wiped them down for the next guests. Everything was hot and fresh. We also had tickets for an afternoon reception with drinks and a snack but didn't get a chance to use them since we were at the hospital during the day. Another staff who worked in the dining area, Ms. Miriyam, was so kind and compassionate to my mom. So kind, in fact, that I will be writing a separate acknowledgment of her outstanding customer service. I only have one complaint. The parking situation is not ideal. There is a parking lot located behind the hotel and parking is limited and pretty tight. Also, a limited number of handicap parking is available near the elevators. Parking is $24/day. If you're bringing someone who uses a wheelchair, it may be helpful to let them out directly in front of the hotel/lobby area and then park unless your lucky enough to get handicap parking near the elevator. I wish I had taken pictures of the room, but it was just such a busy weekend and I forgot ! We're looking forward to bringing our family member here for a staycation once he is well enough. About a month prior, I came in to scope out the space, and the staff at that time were incredibly helpful and welcoming. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of interacting with new team members, and they were just as amazing. Every question I had was answered thoroughly, and the entire process was seamless and stress-free. I truly appreciated the accommodations made while I was unloading my supplies. The staff kindly allowed me time to park outside to ensure I had everything I needed before moving my vehicle. They also assisted me with parking, guiding me to the garage, and making sure I knew exactly where to go. Their patience and willingness to help did not go unnoticed. Even as I passed the office multiple times needing assistance, each team member I encountered was consistently kind, attentive, and eager to help. That level of service speaks volumes. I would like to recognize this hotel for having such outstanding individuals representing the face of their company. It's clear that their professionalism, attentiveness, and positive attitudes play a major role in the overall success of the business. As a side note, the breakfast at this location is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend that anyone visiting takes the time to enjoy it in the morning you won't be disappointed.
