Pooh's lunch
Mark M.

Pooh and I came here for lunch today after we settled in at the hotel. The place was busy since it's lunch time and right downtown. Pooh started off with an amber beer and I had their Bloody Caesar (the alcohol is beer). Pooh enjoyed his beer but that Caesar was weak. Pooh ordered a Flammekueche and I had their burger 3 Brasseurs with beer fries. Pooh loved his meal but my hamburger was dry; even after adding the ketchup and mayo that was for the fries the burger was still dry. The server didn't even come and check on us until we paid the bill. Not going back there again.

Stopped twice for happy hour. $5 beers for a pint of decent IPA. Their fries were decent and my cappuccino hit the spot!! Very busy so patience is needed .

Came here after a long day exploring Montreal. Our server was very amazing and funny. He strongly recommended a burger and while we were not particularly excited over that, it was the best burger we ever had. The mushroom poutine we ordered was amazing as well as was the brownie for dessert. The beer is wonderful and made on site even though it is a brewpub chain. The decor is nice and rustic and there is plenty of seating but it gets busy fast and we waited longer for our dessert than our dinner which is understandable given how busy the kitchen must have gotten.

Overall, thought this place was awesome. It took a little while for the server to arrive but the place was packed so I let it slide. Poutine and burgers were delicious and portion sizes were perfect. Overall great experience, and a large beautiful space which resembled that of a sports bar, making for a perfect night out.

Another visit and another wonderful experience! We will be back when we visit Montreal again Such amazing food!!!! The previous review was about the delicious food and wonderful atmosphere!! I can't say enough about this wonderful restaurant!!

Tuna Poke

Friendly staff, good drinks and good beer. Kid friendly menu. Good menu. We ordered the poke tuna, the authentic poutine and the kids menu chicken bites that comes with a choice of dessert and juice listed in the kids menu. We also ordered two one liter beers of blonde within the daily special. The food was good, tuna was fresh. Only complaint is that the tuna poke came with a lot of rice and very little tuna. The poutine was really good and satisfying, The chicken bites were surprisingly good. Good staff that answered our questions and pointed at the daily specials.

Walking around downtown Montreal looking for something to eat with no reservations or specific taste for anything we decided to check this place out! All of the locations in this area were like, PACKED (there are multiple within a few block radius). It was a Thursday evening with very decent weather so everyone was out and about. From the outside with the garage doors open we spotted some open seats at the bar so we ran for them! Here's how things went. Atmosphere/Appearance: So the restaurant's name is "The 3 Brewers" in French. This place is BIG on beer and it shows. It had a pub feel to it, but in a very modernistic and more upscale variant. There's a bit of exposed brick along with a very interesting patterned ceiling and some antique looking wood floors. The music was decent and I did mention the garage doors that lead right to the outside to another seating area. Service: Guillaume at the bar took excellent care of us. Plain and simple. He got us everything we needed without a hitch. Food: I decided to go off my usual beaten path (wings) and try something else. I ordered the New Dehli Flammekueche which is basically a thin crust pizza of sorts with pulled chicken (Raised by a Canadian Farmer according to the menu if that matters to some people), red onions, peppers, diced tomatoes with Swiss and mozzarella cheeses. It's all baked on traditional flatbread, with luscious butter chicken sauce and garnished with cilantro pesto. It was fantastic. I'm a huge fan of Indian food so it was just like grabbing a piece of naan bread then dipping in the leftover sauce of butter chicken. Delicious. Value: All prices are in $CAD. My entree was a mere $15.95 and it was so worth it. It was the size of a small pizza and was plenty of food for one person. In conclusion this place as pretty good! The menu is vast and so is the beer selection. There's something here for everyone!

We came here to watch the Stanley cup final. The manager very kindly changed the screens to allow us to do so. Unfortunately, they played music instead and it was like being at a club. Not really a bar/restaurant atmosphere. Overall the waitress was extremely helpful and the food was ok. However, we were watching the game and we're rushed through our evening. We were given our bill and last orders called, even though the game was still going on and we didn't ask for our bill. We got told it was last orders on food and drinks, but saw countless new orders and drinks being served while we were paying up. Overall not a great experience due to being rushed.

Slowest service ever. At least my friends and I weren't in a rush. Everything was WAY too sweet. I got a mocktail with this waffle dessert. It would've been 10x better without the caramel beer drizzle.

BEST SERVICE, FOOD, AND ATMOSPHERE! Every single time I have gone all the waiters have been charming and attentive. I never had to ask for a refill (water) not even once! They walk around so often and are very kind and caring... thank you Stefano! The food is always tasty and prepared with care, and the inferno wings are a must have!!! The burgers are amazing!! As for the atmosphere it's almost always filled with sound and music inside the building and very nice to enjoy time with friends, eating and drinking.

Family of 6 visited both food and beer were good. Service was fair. Nothing to rave or complain about. We did like that you could get beers in 3-5 liter towers at your table

It was ok. The cheese in the poutine wasn't even melted a tiny bit, that was a bit disappointing for Quebec, the beer was good.

They also have a lovely outdoor patio with cozy lighting and greenery making it a great spot to relax and enjoy good conversation. Tucked away with a beautiful terrasse in the back, it's the kind of place you'd almost miss--but absolutely shouldn't. The service was fantastic from start to finish--attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overbearing. The food was equally impressive. Everything we tried was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, with portions that are just right. The beef and mushroom tartare was a standout--rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced--and the braised lamb cavatelli was simply outstanding. The lemon tiramisu for dessert was the best ive ever had. Overall, a fantastic experience. Can't wait to come back!

Working in Montreal for the week and while hunting around for dinner I did my usual Yelp'ing! I…read morediscovered Pub BreWskey near my hotel so I decided to check it out! Here's how it went... Atmosphere/Appearance: The entrance is kinda off the beaten path and the restaurant is located under what looks like some sort of laboratory. Once down the stairs you're greeted by what feels like an underground speakeasy vibes! There's exposed copper ventilation pipes, exposed warm lightbulbs, raw concrete, wood and quite a few places to sit. I sat at the bar on the metal chairs like all pros do! But off to the side is a set of stairs which leads down to the ACTUAL BREWERY where all of the beer is made! I loved that there were windows in which you could look out of to see the giant vats. Really cool. Service: Dany at the bar took excellent care of me and there was nothing more I could've asked of him. He was attentive, fun and made sure I enjoyed my time there. Food/Drinks: First up I started with their Brew Juice, a beer made right in-house. It was their "beer smoothie". It was sweet, filling, thick, sour and crazy flavorful! Tasted nothing like a beer at all. My first appetizer was the Bacon Jerky which is thick-cut bacon in a beer maple glaze, chili seasonings, sesame seeds and green onions. It was mildly sweet, salty, savory, thick, tender and really, really good and not what I was expecting given the name. My 2nd beer was the Double Goose. This one was deliciously sour, gentle, not too sweet at all or harsh. For my entree I went with their special that was written in chalk on the board! I was the Sandwich of Duck & Lamb. The salad on the side was GREAT! Good bitter greens with rich, robust dressing. The chips the sandwich also came with were seasoned well and had an excellent spicy mayo dipping sauce. Sandwich was GREAT as well! Bread was softer than expected. Rich, buttery flavor. The 2 meats were light and worked well together. The sandwich is called "Sandwich Au Lapin De Cannard", but "lapin" translates to rabbit. Warm, cheesy, comforting, filling. Lil' cajun flavor. Caught a bone or 2 while eating it. It happens. Value: It's a brewery that actually serves food and that's always a plus! All prices are in $CAD. My first 12 oz. beer was $8.75. My 2nd one was $9.00. The bacon jerky was $10.00 and the sandwich with salad and chips was $26.00. Extremely reasonable if you ask me. In conclusion, I really enjoyed my time here at Pub BreWskey and I would surely pay this place another visit. Beers rotate all the time so what I had may not even be around by the time you visit. Same goes for the specials on the chalkboard! Thank you for reading and supporting local businesses.

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

Review for their Quartier Dix30 location, 2025…read more.. Horrible ending to our night, false accusations by their staff... My friends and I went to this pub as a portion of our celebrating one of their birthdays this evening. For context I and my friends are in our late 30s to early 40s, and we had beforehand gone to another establishment but the temperature was unbearable as they did not have air conditioning so we sought out an alternative and chose Mckibbin's. Funnily enough, Mckibbin's didn't have AC either but we ended up staying for a few drinks regardless, mostly to appreciate the live music which was quite good. The waitress was good as well, quick and friendly, we had a minor snafu with a couple of the drinks which were not to our liking but the bar graceously replaced them which is yet another solid point in their favor. Why, you might ask in that case, would I be rating this establishment one star then? Well it all comes down to how we ultimately exited the establishment. We all paid our tab at the table, and finished up the rest of our drinks, still enjoying the music playing. It was a great band by the way, I just have to say. We all ended up leaving after 10-15 minutes and all seemed well, except it was only once we're outside that I found out that apparently one of our group who had gone to the bathroom had been victim of a rather apauling scenario. He had been in the stall for 10 or so minutes (he was doing what he had to do .. sometimes nature calls), and was interrupted by a knock on his stall only to hear the bouncer tell him he had to pay and get out of the bar immediately. The bouncer aparrently had heard him "sniffing" his nose in the stall, and found that to be appropriate reason enough to accuse him of doing cocaine in the stall, and to force him out of the bar. Of course it did not cross his mind to think that perhaps it had something to do with the bar being at approximately 29 degrees, perhaps my friend simply had a stuffy nose, or perhaps he had allergies, no he heard a few sniffles and that was all he needed to throw out allegations. Needless to say, I'm completely and utterly disgusted having learned this. Ultimately we left and let things be, we weren't about to bust back in there and cause disruption for no reason we were already on our way out anyway, but to think that this man, employed by this establishment, could be so outlandishly shortsighted is a true injustice. Suffice to say, my friend has never done cocaine in his life, we quite literally made jokes about this man's accusations the whole ride home. Still, I will never go back to this place, because I shudder to think of myself in his situation and what I might do, how it would make me feel to be on the bad end of this kind of person's shortsighted and unfounded accusations. That said, I urge anyone and everyone to beware of the types of people this establishment has working under its payroll. Most of their staff (everyone else in-fact) were excellent, but unfortunately it only takes one completely rotten apple to ruin the bunch.

Horrible service. They didn't let 3 of my peers with REAL ID in the club. And when my friend…read moreconfronted them, the next time she came in they told her she was "the bitch with the attitude". Tremendously rude bouncers. Don't recommend.
