    French Onion Soup
    Justin L.

The cocktails that were a mix of beer and hard liquor was a suprisingly good combination. Ordered a Malibu Sunrise and a Strawberry Mojito both of which had lighter beer that went well with the drink. It was still what the drink would normally taste like but there was a slight aftertaste of beer. The French onion soup was good but not the greatest. The traditional sausage over a bed of onions was really good. The juices from the sausage were cooked into the onions and are perfect if you enjoy salty foods. Would recommend if you are in the area to try it but would not recommend going out of your way to try it.

I came here today for lunch and it was nice. The food was pretty good and it's in a very nice area of Old Montreal. You can walk pretty much anywhere around here and there are lots of restaurants to choose from. I'm not a beer drinker but it looked like they had a great beer selection.

This is a lively Montreal restaurant. We are on the third level. They are serving the local brews on every floor. We enjoyed the fish and chips.

Great food in a fun area. We got to sit by the window and people watch. We had great service and the restaurant was lively. Food was good pub-esque food and fries were nice and crispy.

Centrally located 3 Brasseurs right on St-Denis... one of the smaller locations that I have been to but does have the added bonus of the roof top terrace in the summer which is a nice feature to enjoy the hustle and bustle of downtown. As the meu and fare is pretty standard across all locations, I normally take the beer of the moment to enjoy as it is always changing and the other 5 beers are always the same ( Blonde, Blanche, IPA, Red, and Brown). Each location also has one specially brewed beer specific to them, which can be another choice. I find the service at this location can sometimes be a bit slow, but they tend to be one of the busier ones as well.

Nachos weren't my favorite because the tortillas had some spread spices. Flammekueche was ok.

We stopped here to get warm and try desert. Wow! Great choice! We got the cookie with ice cream and Irish coffees.

It's was cold, windy & raining. We were rather soaked. We decided to stop in to get desert and Irish coffees. Gabby, our waitress was wonderful & sweet. The cookie & ice cream was great! As were the coffees. The place seemed like a great place for 20-30 year olds to hang. Good music too. Next time we'll try a meal.

Les 3 Brasseurs is part of an international restaurant chain. Friends and I were thirsty, so we stopped at this particular location (on St. Denis) randomly. The venue was fairly large, fairly random, and fairly crowded. Considering the crowd, our party managed to score seats street-side, where others were already relaxing and people-watching. Their menu was amusing, basically a faux newspaper; prices weren't bad. Our server was awesome, and even did a shot with us - there were quite a few shooters on their menu. A few of us had beers. If I lived in the area, I'd stop back in for drinks.

Originally we were supposed to visit Cinko across the street but it was SUPER busy s we decided to go with something we know, Les 3 Brasseurs or The 3 brewers as Ontarians may know it. Though not as bad, it was still super packed and we waited around 30 minutes to get a seat. No complaints though- its better than waiting outside in the cold for who knows how long for the place across the street. The menu is quite the same across all locations. Its pub fare like burgers, sandwiches and even their famed flammkeuche (similar to a thincrust pizza) but also cooked dishes and meat/cheese platters. I would say that the quality of their food is very good. On their own, both the burger and flammkeuche were very good...but I took things up a few notches... TIP: Split a Chilli peppy flammkeuche and a bacon and cheese burger with someone. Cut the burger in half, cut the flammkeuche in half. Now each of you place the 1/2 burger in the 1/2 flammkeuche and roll it like a burrito. Not my proudest moment to be honest, but it was so good! lolol Also, the fact that we split a 5L beer and it costed us less than $6 each is amazing. We all had around 4 glasses of beer!!! It could have easily costed us $20-25 each elsewhere.

Boyfriend and I went here on our first night in Montreal. We've been to Three Brewers before and expected the usual combination of great beer and solid food. Upon our arrival it seemed that this would be the case. However about an hour in, water began pouring from the ceiling into the upstairs dining room and three brewing room. The servers were obviously panicking and not many of them knew what to do. We were told that we had to leave. Good customer service would dictate that because our evening was inconvenienced by their fault, meals and drinks would be comped or reduced. This was not the case as we paid our full bill. Worst still, upon visiting the Three Brewers in Old Montreal our server told us that this wasn't the first the leaking happened. Based on the fact that leaking has happened multiple times, and that the servers handled it poorly, I would not recommend this location. Go to any other Three Brewers instead.

Their own beer was just alright. I don't particularly find it great or come back for more. On the other hand, the flatbread pizzas and charcuterie were amazing.

When some of the others in our group kept talking about this awesome microbrewery where we were going to go to dinner, I wasn't expecting a chain. But that doesn't mean that it didn't have good brews and food. It just wasn't what I was expecting. We had a group of about 8 so it took a few minutes before they were able to find a table for us but our waitress was good with getting us all set up (although she did forget to bring me my water). Prices are fairly reasonable but I didn't find the menu all that inspiring. I wasn't feeling well so I was a bit jealous that my dining companions all ordered a sampler of their brews. I ordered the Euro-Sandwich which was grilled chicken, grilled zucchini, topped with cranberry salsa and brie in a ciabatta bread, served with fries for about $12.00. It was good, but nothing to really write home about. I was hoping for more cranberry but it was a pretty small dose.

Great beers. We tried the blonde and the white and they were both very good, not hoppy which we are not a fan of. 3pm-7pm mon-fri they have super cheap pints!

Tucked away with a beautiful terrasse in the back, it's the kind of place you'd almost miss--but absolutely shouldn't. The service was fantastic from start to finish--attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overbearing. The food was equally impressive. Everything we tried was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, with portions that are just right. The beef and mushroom tartare was a standout--rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced--and the braised lamb cavatelli was simply outstanding. The lemon tiramisu for dessert was the best ive ever had. Overall, a fantastic experience. Can't wait to come back!

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

Review for their Quartier Dix30 location, 2025…read more.. Horrible ending to our night, false accusations by their staff... My friends and I went to this pub as a portion of our celebrating one of their birthdays this evening. For context I and my friends are in our late 30s to early 40s, and we had beforehand gone to another establishment but the temperature was unbearable as they did not have air conditioning so we sought out an alternative and chose Mckibbin's. Funnily enough, Mckibbin's didn't have AC either but we ended up staying for a few drinks regardless, mostly to appreciate the live music which was quite good. The waitress was good as well, quick and friendly, we had a minor snafu with a couple of the drinks which were not to our liking but the bar graceously replaced them which is yet another solid point in their favor. Why, you might ask in that case, would I be rating this establishment one star then? Well it all comes down to how we ultimately exited the establishment. We all paid our tab at the table, and finished up the rest of our drinks, still enjoying the music playing. It was a great band by the way, I just have to say. We all ended up leaving after 10-15 minutes and all seemed well, except it was only once we're outside that I found out that apparently one of our group who had gone to the bathroom had been victim of a rather apauling scenario. He had been in the stall for 10 or so minutes (he was doing what he had to do .. sometimes nature calls), and was interrupted by a knock on his stall only to hear the bouncer tell him he had to pay and get out of the bar immediately. The bouncer aparrently had heard him "sniffing" his nose in the stall, and found that to be appropriate reason enough to accuse him of doing cocaine in the stall, and to force him out of the bar. Of course it did not cross his mind to think that perhaps it had something to do with the bar being at approximately 29 degrees, perhaps my friend simply had a stuffy nose, or perhaps he had allergies, no he heard a few sniffles and that was all he needed to throw out allegations. Needless to say, I'm completely and utterly disgusted having learned this. Ultimately we left and let things be, we weren't about to bust back in there and cause disruption for no reason we were already on our way out anyway, but to think that this man, employed by this establishment, could be so outlandishly shortsighted is a true injustice. Suffice to say, my friend has never done cocaine in his life, we quite literally made jokes about this man's accusations the whole ride home. Still, I will never go back to this place, because I shudder to think of myself in his situation and what I might do, how it would make me feel to be on the bad end of this kind of person's shortsighted and unfounded accusations. That said, I urge anyone and everyone to beware of the types of people this establishment has working under its payroll. Most of their staff (everyone else in-fact) were excellent, but unfortunately it only takes one completely rotten apple to ruin the bunch.

Horrible service. They didn't let 3 of my peers with REAL ID in the club. And when my friend…read moreconfronted them, the next time she came in they told her she was "the bitch with the attitude". Tremendously rude bouncers. Don't recommend.
