Their prices are very competitive and they are helpful, responsive and prompt. Many years ago, All About Windows and Walls provided wood blinds for 2 rooms, and subsequently blinds for another. This month, I ordered and received silhouettes and skylight shades from them. In the interim, Howard installed temporary shades on my skylights (I had taken off the old ones), Howard's voluntary suggestion, so that my furniture and floor would not fade by the summer sun. Howard and Wendy insisted that when I paint the room, that I call to have Howard take the new silhouettes off so that no paint will get on them, and then he would come back and reinstall them once the painting is complete. When I asked about replacing batteries in the motorized skylight shades when needed, Howard said "call me and I will replace them for you". All this customer service is at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE!!! Wendy and Howard are a treasure trove of information as well. Anything from advice on paint, how to better utilize what you have in your house; ie lighting, where to get fabric, suggestions on area rugs; etc.......really!!!!! Where else can you get this kind of customer service from a neighborhood business? All About Windows and Walls has done window covering for many of my friends as well, and comes 100% recommended by me. (BTW, my husband is an architect and a contractor, so we expect quality work)

For two of the windows, we did the faux wood slated blinds, which is style we were familiar with. For our bedroom window, we tried something new, which is the honeycomb cell shade that blocks light and that can be slid from the top down or the bottom up. This is a wonderful feature for the bedroom so that we get the privacy of the lower part of the window being covered, but we're able to let in light and look outside through the top part. Something that really made this company easy to work with is that all the people I interacted with were amazingly accommodating and helpful. Starting with Vito Conforti, the president, and then his son Andrew, who came to our house for the initial consultation and showed me all the different samples and help me pick colors and styles. All the people who answered the phone and did scheduling and answered my questions were polite and helpful and quick to respond. The installer Zach was an impressive young man who worked through a challenging install situation. We had just moved in and a lot of our furniture and boxes were blocking access to the windows and Zach very kindly moved things for me and even help me break down boxes for recycling and stack them up. That is going above and beyond what he came here to do and I really appreciated his help and good attitude. Additionally, they gave us a tin of Dutch shortbread cookies which are my favorite. It's so refreshing do business with an independent family owned company. Everyone here puts all their heart into what they do and this really sets them apart from chain and franchise businesses. If you want blinds for your windows, come here, and I guarantee you will be very happy that you did.
