I gave 2 stars for several reasons: Mismeasured Product: My blind was incorrectly measured. I had to return it, and they needed to remake it. This process took an excessive amount of time. Price vs. Selection: It's custom-made, but the color and style options are very limited, and I felt it was overpriced. Customer Service: While the salesman was friendly and helpful initially, after placing the order, I received no updates for several months. When I contacted them to ask when my blinds would be delivered, they did not know. My credit card was charged in full, but I was not informed of any delays. Customization Details: Nothing was mentioned about the tilt wand placement. All of mine ended up on the left side, which was not specified or discussed. Buyer beware indeed. There is something very wrong with how this company operates. The wand for the roller shade lights up in the middle of the night, and the clicking inside the rod corresponds to movement in the room, not just at night. The installer drilled extra holes in the wall and left them open, and I later found him drilling holes along my baseboard, which made no sense since the roller shade is controlled with a wand that is not wall-mounted and has no strings. He did this without permission or explanation, and the wand appears wired for more complex functions than simply opening and closing the shade, which raises serious safety concerns. read more

Wouldn't recommend. Paid $5k for 2 sets of blinds and one came with scuffs. The installer damaged the walls and hung the curtains too high saying "they'd stretch out and reach the floor over time" and the material feels cheap. Buyer beware: We recently purchased a condominium in Laguna Woods, and of course, one of the motorized blinds broke (2.5 months later). They charged us $250 dollars to send out a contracted fix it person, who said, yes they are broken. He was going to order a new one, and stated they were under warranty. I have original order copy and they are supposed to be under warranty. Customer service says warranty only follows prior owner, not the property. Two designers, Rick and Kirk, came to my home to measure 8 standard-sized windows. The appointment lasted nearly 3 hours, which felt excessive for such a straightforward job. During the visit, I was repeatedly pressured to pay 50% of the total cost that same day in order to "lock in discounts." I was told that if I did not pay immediately, I would lose all discounts. At no point during the appointment was I provided with a written estimate, itemized pricing, or a clear breakdown of charges or discounts. Nothing was explained--only urgency to pay. I did not receive an estimate for three days, and when it was finally sent, it went to the wrong email address. Even then, the pricing lacked transparency and explanation. The designers were unprofessional throughout the visit. They openly criticized my choices, and when I asked to see what a wood box would look like on my kitchen window, they said they could not stand on a ladder to show me--which is unreasonable for a professional design consultation. Rick and Kirk also went outside together multiple times, which felt unprofessional. After seeing our home, the pricing suddenly felt inflated, leaving us with the impression that the cost was being adjusted upward. I just had a consultation with a design consultant Lizanne Cohen. In her defense, this was her second visit. We asked for a quote for a skylight and when she arrived she said it was too big. A week later we asked for a quote on some other windows and they sent the same consultant, I think she was pissed she had to come back. Regardless, the way she acted was not professional. Passive aggressive, annoyed, hostile, argumentative. I cannot imagine working with this business after that interaction. All that, and she estimated 2,000 for a single row of vertical blinds which seems insane. read more

On March 1 a lovely woman came to present samples of blinds. I really didn't want anything fancy, just 2 inch blinds. I felt convinced they would be the company to provide what I needed and made a deposit. I received a call early the next morning that someone would be coming by to measure my furniture. Wow I thought.... That's service. When the gentleman arrived he asked me to move the furniture! Are you kidding?! Believe me, I do not have the muscle tone or girth to move furniture! He asked if I had a neighbor who could help me. At this time I was thinking about their logo which advertises : "sit back and relax, we will do all the work." I told him we would have to reschedule because I would have to hire someone to move the furniture. Unphased he grabbed his ladder, which he didn't need and left. I was able to hire someone later that week to move the furniture 4'from my windows as requested. I thought 3-day would come out quickly to re-measure. But no. I had to live with my furniture piled up in the middle of the rooms in my house for a month. You can see how depressing this situation was to live in, from the pictures. They gave me no updates during that time frame. Luckily I was able to cancel half my order. I was originally getting my whole house done, but knew I could not live in total chaos throughout my house. Only two rooms were to receive blinds. Finally the windows were measured and 3 months later I got most of my blinds. I say most, because the wrong hardware was sent for my sliders. They were going to get right on it. Thankfully I was able to have my movers come back and move most of my furniture in place. I have continued to contact customer service and they are always friendly. They check their records and comment the order to the wrong department /person and they "fix it." The next time I call, I get the same response. Now I am being told that the hardware is back ordered and they expect it around June 16th. The blinds I have are beautiful and I love them. But the job I paid for hasn't been completed. I explained this to one of the customer service representatives I spoke with. Also upset that they had changed my credit card for the remainder of the job, knowing they were not finished. If you can believe it, he read me the statement (which was right at his fingertips) that they charge payment in full before the job is done. It was at that point I got that feeling you get when you are ripped off. I have no confidence that 3-day blinds/Raylan will complete the job. I think they are stringing me along. This spring I hired 3 Day Blinds to furnish all the shades and blinds in the new home. This was my 3rd time hiring 3 Day Blinds to take on an entire house, and the first two times were completely successful. I have always enjoyed their range of products, plus the color, & pattern variation. The quality of the products have also been pretty good. The cost of custom drapes, shades, blinds etc has always been high, this is a custom product after all. The first time experiencing an issue with an order was my most recent one. It was also unfortunately the largest custom drape I ordered, for my window that faces the street. It took multiple attempts for the installers to hang the drape. Each time there was a different issue, which ranged from damaged track pieces to the dimensions of a custom valiance being way off. Overall I found customer service slow to respond, and they never expedited replacement pieces. Each time I had to wait for a part it was the same delivery window I was given for the initial build. Expediting replacement parts when things are delivered damaged or defective would go along way to increasing customer satisfaction. To summarize: Pros: Great variation in styles & color. Products typically durable enough to last a long time making the worth the price. Cons: Delivery windows are long, costumer service somewhat lacking. Do not use this company. We have nothing but problems with our new Roman shades and vertical blinds. The customer service we have received since the install has been extremely poor. I just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Within an hour of install, the vertical blinds broke, the installer had to come back and fix it. He also told us to put tape on it so it doesn't pop off again. The Roman shades Have developed holes in them where the string rubs behind the shade, this was happening 10 days after install. This company is the worst. I purchased 28 blinds from them with a lifetime limited warranty and over the years the same plastic parts would break and the repair under warranty but no more. Now the say they are discontinued but they still have the plastic parts but now want to charge 300 for 30 and each blind has 30. They just informed us our lifetime warranty is up. Stay away from them if you're looking for quality. You should honor the warranty 1st of all because you have the parts available. 2nd so the product is discontinued so you should hav tried to work with us to replace them and given us a discount because we purchased a lifetime warranty that you have honored for years I have receipts to prove it. Motorized blinds break at least once a year. Blinds are a nice color and thickness but have a poor magnetic side piece to charge them. Cannot be plug in all the time. Need to charge once a month if you use them. And they don't give you a charger for each blind. Charging takes 6-25hrs. Motors will be replaced on 5 year warranty but if tech doesn't reprogram them it's $110 to have them come back out to program them. Otherwise you have to look on YouTube. Blinds cost 5 grand so after the 5 years you're out of luck and it's back to YouTube and how to replace motors which completely break yearly. read more

We brought in 3 Day Blinds to add new window coverings in our living room, dining room and bedrooms. We put a lot of faith in them and the project added up to nearly $12,000. The product is good, but there is an incredible amount of disorganization and poor communication between 3 Day Blinds and their installers. But that's not their problem, it's your problem. The installers literally (I'm using that word's actual definition) never answer their phone. You'll get a call back, but communication will be infrequent and random. So what's gone wrong? The valance in our dining room still hasn't been delivered/installed. We ordered it in August 2022 (I'm writing this in March 2023). Also, the design consultant failed to include the valances we requested in the bedroom. And the sheer panel they installed behind our bedroom curtain is purple, not white. From the outside looking in, these don't feel like huge problems. We were finally routed to a resolution specialist (and her manager) but three months in, these issues still haven't been resolved. Today is June 3rd 2024 I placed my original order Dec 1st 2023. I have had my order remade 7 going on 8 times now. The first 6 times they took accountability then around the seventh time when they couldn't get it right it became my fault. I chose the wrong backing. I was never told I couldn't choose that backing. I should know better woven wood shades sometimes has material that separates possibly causing random tiny holes ... my fault again as you can see these holes are not random and in fact, they are being pulled apart from the rings they put on. Not my fault ... The quality of these woven wood shades are atrocious. Please don't call this company. The only good thing about this company was the man who came out ( Desi) and took my order and and DL installers who are exceptional . We paid over $5,000 for this! Desi was never told the materials we chose wouldn't work In fact in the past before, before thr company was bought out by another company, It worked just fine. I was told that by the installers it was never an issue but now it is .. I received an email from the senior resolution manager, stating that I would not be getting a refund and they would not be remaking my shades, unless I made changes to my order . Now 6 months later I had to change my kitchen top down to another color because it turns out they only staple in the front not the back so now the material has to be dark enough, so the staples won't show. What??? Since we fell in love with the first material we had to change the backing. We could no longer have darkening material ( which used to work) for our two bedrooms now we will just get a simple privacy liner and I guess we'll never sleep in... At this point, I just want it to end . The moral of the story is do not call 3 Day Blinds . PS I just saw that a customer service representative answered my review. I would like to tell you I'm adding this other part..... I should have anticipated/budgeted window dressings during my condo remodel, but just didn't even think about it until we moved in. My husband and I realized our mistake the first night when we had to sleep in a room with the least amount of windows. Curtains were the easiest to do, but not when you have windows that end at the edges of the ceiling and are longer than most standard windows. I was tired of buying/returning/drilling all these holes that in the end, I begged my husband to let me just get a consult with 3 Day Blinds. I didn't feel comfortable in my living area since I felt very exposed and the buildings across the street were a little too close. We decided to go ahead and just purchase shades for the dining/living area, and I'm so happy we did. We worked with Nadya Chadwick who came on time and showed us all our options and gave recommendations. At one point we had a tie on the style/color, and Nadya gave her recommendation and we took it. I'm so so happy we did because I absolutely love them. It did take quite some time to get them installed though. From the moment we purchased it, it was manufactured and shipped to the installers on Nov. 10th, and for 20 days, I heard nothing from the installers. I started to call/stalk them and one day they called me back and scheduled a week ago. They did a great job, but I am just skeptical that it really took a full 20 days to arrive at their facilities. Less than a month after installing motorized Roman shades, they're already in desperate need of repair. To start the material in the blinds is very nice. The woman who came out to measure was also very nice. That's where it ended. The installer came out and put the blinds up. They're actually shades for my screen porch and told me my ceiling was not level. He installed them with gaps on the right hand side. He proceeded to install them and only use one screw. The blinds came without the end caps on the bottom rail. Then he finished and left. I have been sent parts twice to replace these bottom end caps and both times the replacements are wrong. Customer service is very nice about sending more parts,. I would like to just have the correct parts. If the brackets had rolled enough and sliced through my screens, then I would be putting a stop payment. If you're thinking about getting these shades from three day blinds for a screen porch.
