    Buyer beware indeed. There is something very wrong with how this company operates. The wand for the roller shade lights up in the middle of the night, and the clicking inside the rod corresponds to movement in the room, not just at night. The installer drilled extra holes in the wall and left them open, and I later found him drilling holes along my baseboard, which made no sense since the roller shade is controlled with a wand that is not wall-mounted and has no strings. He did this without permission or explanation, and the wand appears wired for more complex functions than simply opening and closing the shade, which raises serious safety concerns.

    Estimate

    What an absolute joke! I had a rep out for an estimate for rods and installation on drapes I already have. After almost 2 hours just to measure rods, he gives me an outrageous estimate that only shows labor. I asked him if the rods were included, he said yes but there was no breakdown at all for 4 rods, the measurements or anything at all other than this unprofessional quote. The guy was very nice but is this what you get for $2500. And two hours? A piece of paper with no details or name on it??

    On March 1 a lovely woman came to present samples of blinds. I really didn't want anything fancy, just 2 inch blinds. I felt convinced they would be the company to provide what I needed and made a deposit. I received a call early the next morning that someone would be coming by to measure my furniture. Wow I thought.... That's service. When the gentleman arrived he asked me to move the furniture! Are you kidding?! Believe me, I do not have the muscle tone or girth to move furniture! He asked if I had a neighbor who could help me. At this time I was thinking about their logo which advertises : "sit back and relax, we will do all the work." I told him we would have to reschedule because I would have to hire someone to move the furniture. Unphased he grabbed his ladder, which he didn't need and left. I was able to hire someone later that week to move the furniture 4'from my windows as requested. I thought 3-day would come out quickly to re-measure. But no. I had to live with my furniture piled up in the middle of the rooms in my house for a month. You can see how depressing this situation was to live in, from the pictures. They gave me no updates during that time frame. Luckily I was able to cancel half my order. I was originally getting my whole house done, but knew I could not live in total chaos throughout my house. Only two rooms were to receive blinds. Finally the windows were measured and 3 months later I got most of my blinds. I say most, because the wrong hardware was sent for my sliders. They were going to get right on it. Thankfully I was able to have my movers come back and move most of my furniture in place. I have continued to contact customer service and they are always friendly. They check their records and comment the order to the wrong department /person and they "fix it." The next time I call, I get the same response. Now I am being told that the hardware is back ordered and they expect it around June 16th. The blinds I have are beautiful and I love them. But the job I paid for hasn't been completed. I explained this to one of the customer service representatives I spoke with. Also upset that they had changed my credit card for the remainder of the job, knowing they were not finished. If you can believe it, he read me the statement (which was right at his fingertips) that they charge payment in full before the job is done. It was at that point I got that feeling you get when you are ripped off. I have no confidence that 3-day blinds/Raylan will complete the job. I think they are stringing me along. They have all the leverage and my money. *I wish I had read these reviews before calling this company. *Customer service is lacking. *Products are not delivered in a timely manner. *They don't do all the work. You must move all your furniture on your own (My furniture did not block the ability to measure windows). *I plan to call Home Depot to measure the windows for the rest of my house. *Stay away from this company.

During the initial visit they came out to take measurements. I let the employee know that I specifically wanted the mid rail of my shutters to line up with the mid rail of my windows (they are the type that slide up to open) so he took extra care to make sure everything matched up. A few weeks later they returned to install the shutters. I've had them for about a year now. I recently called them for a warranty repair (a couple of the frames were rubbing together, likely due to settlement) and they came out within a week and fixed them free of charge. Overall just a very solid experience. They're a responsive, no hassle company and their products are well priced and good quality.

I only had issues with the plastic hardware cracking and needing to be replaced. I called the office and asked about the cost of just the hardware. To my surprise, the person I spoke with didn't ask how many pieces were broken; he asked for my address, and a few days later I received the hardware. The replacement hardware he sent was generous. Now, that's what I call exemplary customer service and satisfaction!! I will call again soon for another quote.

    First of all, I just want to say how awesome it was to work with Michael Diaz. He was warm,…read morefriendly and showed up on time to give me a very fair estimate. I decided to move forward to have my kitchen, bedroom and office hallways installed with plantation shutters. The work is absolutely wonderful and the shutters really have improved the look of my home. Having said that, there are two major negatives which led me to give four stars and not five. The first, albeit somewhat minor but annoying, is that they didn't clean up the area of their work leading to me finding screws and other items (from pulling down the old shutters). The second and more major one is that in the bedroom, they clearly made a mistake from the time they came to measure to the actual installation. As you can see from photos, the bed is in the way so the left shutter should be the one to come out first. When Mike came, he accurately mentioned this but the actual shutter was that the right one is the one that comes out first (and which is problematic because the bed is in the way) and the left cannot come out because the right one is held back by the bed post. I think they realized it during install but just didn't bother. Having said that I would actually use them again but would definitely keep an eye on them to make sure the order came out right.
