All we brought was food and clothes. The location (just outside of Armstrong) is gorgeous: it's a combination of foothills, rolling green pastures, and forest. Our kids loved hunting for treasure with the metal detector, playing the giant chess set, and setting up croquet courses. We also rented the fire-heated outdoor hot tub one night, which was awesome.

Our two boys had a blast riding their bikes and playing at the park. The park attendants were incredible. Friendly. Efficient. The park is quiet and clean. Can't wait to go back next year.

He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our stay. We had some car trouble and the folks across the way were great trying to help us but In the end it was the host again who saved the day. What a wonderful Father's Day get away. I went to a wedding here - it took place along the lake behind the row of cabins and was a nice,…read morelow key wedding. Guests were able to camp, use their RVs, or rent cabins. Many of us rented about 7 cabins all next to each other, and it was like a block party where all your friend live together. The staff here is really nice and they're very personable and chill. But they're a bit lacking on things like trail maps and other guest amenities. Their one canoe was out of commission, and they only had two single kayaks for rent. They didn't know too much about hiking in the area either - turns out there is a trail that kind of loops around. Not a huge deal, but this definitely seems more like a place you come fully prepared (most people had their own boats, water equipment, etc.). There is free Wi-Fi in and around the office. None in the cabins. The cabins all have a beautiful lake view and are great. They have pots and pans, but don't have anything like cooking oil, tin foil, salt & pepper, etc. You need to bring all that on your own. Ours did have one bag of marshmallows (randomly). Our cabin (#39) had a really nice back that ended up being a communal hang out space for a lot of wedding guests. You do also have to bring your own bedding or rent it for $20. We did that and had a bed bug scare (my boyfriend got 3 bites in a line on his back on Saturday night, and the on his neck on Sunday night). No one else experienced anything like this. We got home and systematically boiled everything in our luggage and our apartment wasn't infested.

Couldn't be more thrilled with our experience with Okanagan Skydive! Staff was very professional…read moreand that's comforting when you are about to jump out of a plane. We were walked through how the jump would go. The wonderful Ted prepared us by showing us positions and explaining what we would experience while we were in the air with our tandem partner. At no point did I feel unsafe or afraid (except the moment we were perched on the side of the plane, but I think someone would be a little crazy to not feel a bit trepidatious at that point). Bruce and Rocky (our tandem partners) were very friendly and superbly comforting. They walked us through everything we were doing as we were doing it so we understood the whys and hows. They also showed us the beautiful sights of Vernon while we ascended. The views were spectacular! The jump itself was flawless. It feels as though you're actually flying and all fear leaves you as you leave the plane and it's an experience I can't quite explain. I can only say to try it for yourself, and Okanagan Skydive is the company to choose if it's something you want to try!
