Choose these folks for your data recovery needs! I had two WD (called Western Digital when they drives were made) HDDs that I needed data from. I was unable to recover data from them in different ways. Disc one was an external drive that would not power on. I tried removing it from its external enclosure and powering it from another, more different enclosure to no avail. The system was indeed down. Disc two was an internal drive that used to be my C drive- my boot drive. I removed it from an old computer after it stopped booting and put it into an external enclosure. Several different computers (Mac & PC) would recognize it sporadically, though none could access the data on it- error codes always came up. Before I removed it, from the old computer, I tried booting from an optical disc and other assorted methods, many other assorted methods... I believe I was very thorough in my efforts. I sent both in and received near 100% recovery. They said it was 100% from one and 99.9% from the other but I am unable to find that .1%. I got all of this for just barely above the $300 price in their name (each, not total). So for about $600 total (including new discs on which my recovered data was transferred and return shipping) I got this incredible service. The total price I paid for both discs at 300DDR is less than I was quoted at several other places for one disc. At each step they were great communicators, from their receipt of the discs to my receipt of the recovered data. I used to backup my files regularly but I got lazy after moving cross country a year ago. Imagine how distraught I was when last month, one my SSDs failed due to a corrupt MFT. And worse it was the one that held all my photos over the last couple of years. I'm an engineer by trade and with other files, I might have tried to rescue them myself. My feelings here are a bit mixed and I'm sure that depends on the results. I accidentally deleted files from my C drive in a hurry to complete an urgent task when my computer was running out of space. I tried data retrieval softwares and no luck. I immediately looked for the professionals and found this place. It had amazing reviews and I was hoping to be one of those customers leaving a 5 star review. I dropped off my M.2, hopeful and excited for their service. I even paid the extra $200 for expedited service. It took them a few days while they ran their deep scans for any lost data. Their communication process was okay. There were times where I didn't get a response. When I picked up my drive and did my own search for all the folders they recovered, I wasn't able to find what I needed which was disappointing. When all hope seemed lost, we found you. My fiance and I have been in the midst of planning our wedding. I've had her scan a large portion of her childhood photos in an effort to put together a slideshow. Most places were quoting me $1000+ minimum, but this place said it would be $300, $400, or $500, depending on different factors. I dropped the external hard drive off in person after filling out the drop off form. It was super quick, and there were plenty of safety measures put in place. Over the course of the next week or so, the company sent me emails with any updates and were super responsive when I had questions. Ultimately, my repair was quoted at $500, with 76% of my data being restorable. They offered to look into a donor drive/head swap for free and quoted me about $160 more.
