While searching for a team to transform my interior of my Maserati, I visited/interviewed many shops in Florida. The honest ones refused to submit a quote. By their own admission, the job I needed done was detailed and they did not feel "qualified" or "up to" the task. To be completely honest, some did not even know how to spell Maserati GranTurismo. I really thought I was at a dead end until I happened to find Bahamas Upholstery & Marine Canvas' website. When I was viewing their photo gallery, I was surprised to see photos of Maseratis. With nothing to lose, I gave them a call. Within minutes of speaking to William (the owner), I knew his company was going to do the job. He mentioned items about my car that only a seasoned craftsman with extensive Maserati knowledge would know. Since I lived 4 hours away from the shop, I sent him photos of my interior. Within a day he followed up with a phone call to iron out some details. He provided a realistic quote and a sincere commitment to my 100% satisfaction. Early the next week, I drove my car to his shop in Miami. While driving, I was concerned that once he saw the car, the price would increase. That was not the case. The transformation should have taken at least 8 weeks. William's entire team worked on the car day, night and weekends. The process lasted four weeks (one week sooner than originally quoted) William was in constant communication. Every few days I would get updated videos and phone calls. I would get text messages and videos as late as 10PM. It was truly a collaborative effort. It was a give and take of ideas with several important elements; my complete and total satisfaction and happiness. So today I picked up my GranTurismo and it was a jaw dropping moment. I paid the $34 for inside and out and proceeded thru the drive-thru following their directions. Once the outside was done via drive-thru they had me drive over to another area where I get out of the car so they can do the inside. I made sure to tell the guy I had smoothie on my passenger seat and he said not to worry; he'd clean. I waited off to the side while they worked on it for another 15-20 minutes. Once I got the car, things were rushed. Other cars were waiting to drive thru so I felt pressure to just get in and go. That was my mistake. I drove off without inspecting the car and the minute I got to the light and look over I could see it was a poor job. The seatbelt wasn't cleaned and he probably just surface cleaned what I'd already done. Pics are included. If you're looking for a good clean; this isn't the place. They're working but not hard enough to get the job done. It's cars in and out so they're not really taking time and being thorough.

We specifically told them at drop-off that the issue began after two fuses were moved -- yet instead of checking what we told them, they jumped straight to claiming the Electronic Servo Brake Control Unit had failed. That's an extremely costly part and would have meant a repair bill in the thousands of dollars. When we took the car to Honda for a second opinion, they immediately confirmed the problem was exactly what we said from the start -- two misplaced fuses. Once corrected, the car was back to normal at almost no cost. This shows a serious lack of diagnostic ability and integrity at Galceran Auto Electric. They ignored the customer's information, failed to check the basics, and attempted to push an unnecessary, very expensive repair. On top of that, they charged for diagnostic work that clearly wasn't done properly. We strongly recommend caution: always get a second opinion before authorizing repairs here. A good shop listens to the customer and starts with the basics -- Galceran Auto Electric did neither.

What I experienced was psychological pressure, financial manipulation, and a complete lack of professional ethics. After inspecting the car, they insisted on additional repairs, which I agreed to based on their urgency. They then sent me a credit card authorization form, which I completed using a valid corporate Visa card. Later, they claimed it couldn't be processed. I offered a second card in person (from my associate), which they also refused. They rejected three separate Visa cards with no written explanation, and told me I must pay in cash. I waited over two hours for a police civil standby after feeling unsafe and coerced. No one came. I stood outside, a woman alone, surrounded by men who held my vehicle until I complied. I was finally forced to pay $1,327.24 in cash -- against my will, without any transparency, and no official receipt policy disclosed in advance. This place uses payment manipulation to trap customers and make them feel powerless. Avoid at all costs -- and if you ever have to go here, bring a lawyer, a witness, and a police report form.
