I have been a few times, and the service is alright. I never had bad service, but it wasn't as good as some other places around town. The food, like the service, is alright. Absolutely delicious, I'm glad I chose this place during our brief stay in Valdosta. The food was so good that I barely took pictures of anything. A special thank you to our wonderful waitress Brooklyn who was completely attentive and made sure we were satisfied with our food and drinks the whole time (my water cup was never empty). The appetizers are large. With your food you get two sides and a salad that you can switch out for food. The drinks were delicious, from the margarita, to the moscato, and the martinis that tase like jolly ranchers. The fried green tomatoes were delicious. They had a cream cheese with peppers and what seemed to be some sort of sweet maple combination. The grits with the mash and meat were wonderful (the perfect size). We had some sort of chocolate mousse. It tasted like a wonderfully made hot chocolate (in mousse texture). I sincerely have no complaints. What a happy chance visit to 306 North. We stopped in Valdosta for the evening and headed downtown. Busy Monday night, but they managed to squeeze us in. It seemed like a local place with couples and groups greeting each other. Dinner was hands down, one of the best meals I have enjoyed in a while...and I travel. A lot! We started with a pork belly appetizer, that was pan cooked to perfection and laid upon a bed of Smoked Gouda Grits. Someone knows how to cook. It got better... Dinner for my wife was salad and Seared Ahi with sweet potato slices drizzled in butter maple. I had a wedge with blue cheese (ask for balsamic vinegar on the side), followed by the crab cakes and more of those grits. Okra and tomatoes finished the plate. If we had room for dessert I am certain it would have satisfied. If you only visit Valdosta for 306 North, you will have made a perfect choice!!! read more

We were really excited to try this place, and it was a huge disappointment! We ordered around 7:30pm. We didn't receive our food until 8:45pm. We all figured at least our food would be HOT, but no. Most of everything was just warm . I ordered the chicken piccata, creamed potatoes and sautéed asparagus. The chicken had an awful chewy texture and the asparagus was embarrassingly overdone, bland and could've been from a can! The potatoes were not bad, but they were cold. My husband got the burger and ordered it medium rare. It Can out EXTRA well done. That thing was so dry, and because it was a nice thick piece of meat, it was incredibly hard to chew. Also, the fried egg that comes on top, was a over well done egg. The fries were ok, but let's face it, you can't mess up fries! My husbands friend got the burger as well and had the same, cold, over cooked and yuckie burger. My friend got the duck. It too was cold, had a metallic taste and was too oily. Her mushrooms were disgusting, cold and bland. Overall, this place was a huge NO. I wouldn't recommend the overpriced, mediocre, bland food that you have to wait over an hour for. This was a great little restaurant. The menu was great and had a hard time picking out what I wanted to eat I started with the bisque and it was fantastic. It was a more spicy bisque than I have had but not overpowering. The roasted duck on the blueberry bruschetta was fantastic. My had the Salmon. This may have been some of the best salmon have tasted. She also had the sweet potato as a side. I have never had sweet potato fixed this way as it looked as if they were grilled and they were delicious. I would definitely say if your in Valdosta to stop in and try out 306 North. read more

Yum... 306. The Downtown Valdosta restaurant scene simply wouldn't be the same without 306 North. I have never been disappointed here. When I visit Valdosta I always make it a point to stop in if I'm on that side of town, even if just for a quick $5 martini (or two) during happy hour! There are many things I enjoy about this spot, but the service is what stands out to me the most. The servers and bartenders are top notch. Wether you are having a romantic dinner for two or a night on the town with your whole crew they can accommodate you. (Wow, that accidentally rhymed... a lot.) Harris at the bar is a real professional and can make some really tasty drinks. I always tend to go for the '306 Margarita' with a Grand Marnier topper but I would honestly recommend anything on their cocktail menu! If you're looking for something to eat, make sure you check the Chef Specialties menu but also don't forget to ask about the day's specials! They whip up something new and creative in the kitchen every day. 306 North remains one of my Valdosta "staples" and I plan to return any time I'm in town! I can see why this is rated number one in Valdosta. It is a good restaurant I was happy with my meal only complaint was the bread cold, and the butter was almost frozen. Also, we had to ask for water because the waiter was distracted. He recommended the spinach salad. I would not have that again it's just bag spinach with dressing ask for the house salad with their champagne dressing. The duck hors d'oeuvre was very good. We stayed over in Valdosta on a trip from Florida to Atlanta. Found this restaurant on Yelp. The food was great. Traditional southern food but more upscale. My wife had the pork belly on grits appetizer and I had fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese. Both were great. I had the shrimp and grits for the main course. Grits were really creamy. My wife had the pork tenderloin that she enjoyed. We'll return on our next trip. read more

Found this place on a stopover in Valdosta on our way home to Florida. Excellent food and service. Our server, Niki, was super friendly and knowledgeable. Nice spot in a repurposed, older building. Would give it 5 stars, except for two issues. We ordered a bottle of red wine and it was served warm. A place like this, that serves quality, well prepared food, should at least make a small effort at wine service. Investing in a temperature controlled cabinet would not break the bank. And, would greatly improve the dining experience. My other negative, is that the special of the day, halibut, turned out to be by far the most expensive entree on the menu. Partially my own fault for not asking, but I think the days special is expected to be somewhat in line with the rest of the menu. All in all, an excellent meal and we will be sure to visit again on out next trip through Valdosta. read more

We were directed here by bringfido.com, because fast food while traveling with our dogs gets old and frankly, disgusting. We were so happy with the reasonably priced and delicious grouper special for us both. My husband says the glazed carrots were "excellent" and the fried pickles were the best he's had. I loved my fish and squash side. Found the mashed potatoes a tad too salty. Tried his sweet potato, and it was delicious, too.
