We started off with a good experience. The cocktails were delicious and moderately priced. The shrimp queso appetizer was delicious! Sadly the entrees were "meh". We had steak, fish & shrimp, Caesar salad with chicken and salmon. None of us were satisfied. My medium rare steak was well done. The salmon was well done. The tilapia, also well done. 329 Bar & Grill is a little gem in downtown Hartwell on the square. Food was excellent. We had the queso with shrimp. The shrimp was seasoned well but the flatbread was over seasoned with season salt. For our main dish I had the pastalaya with a side of green beans while my mom had the grilled chicken with shrimp and rice and steamed broccoli as her sides. Our meal was exceptionally delicious. Service was okay. Our server seemed to be forgetful and often forgot to bring us either what she said she would bring or what we asked for. She seemed inexperienced or just lacks customer service skills. She wasn't bad but she wasn't good either. Overall a great visit and we will be back. Highly recommend for the food. read more

Refills without asking. Great timing with check-ins. Artichoke dip was great. My wife and I both had the sirloin and were very pleased with our selection. Veggies were cooked perfectly. Have eaten here for lunch a couple of times and have been very impressed with the food. It's the best restaurant in Hartwell in my opinion.

Had ribeye and pecan encrusted trout. Both were delicious. Came with a salad and vegetables. The restaurant has a speakeasy too. We were well taken care of and we will be back. read more

Last night Sat at bar. Second time in a week at least an hour before closing and felt rushed myself and others told Closing soon. Hmmm 8:10 and we are closing soon. I've been wanting to check this place out, and I finally did... why did I wait so long? I had the shrimp tacos, and my dining companion had the club. Where do I start... first of all, the tacos were wonderful, and they didn't scrimp on the shrimp. Large tacos!! My companion said the Club was excellent. The fries/chips on the side were tasty. The waitress was friendly, professional, and quick. The atmosphere was comfortable. I will definitely be back. There are menu items that I want to try. This place looks like it has potential. We ate for the first time and both ordered shrimp meal... I had a salad with shrimp and spouse had the Cajun shrimp. Mind you the prices are kinda on the expensive side so we expected a quality meal. We had high hopes! But as soon as we started with our meal we noticed that neither our shrimp had been de veined and looked similar to the shrimp you see frozen in Walmart frozen section. Kinda tough and rubbery. The salad I had looked great but the lettuce did not look washed. I am a stickler at washing my salad lettuce and the lettuce looked wilted and dull so I'm almost certain it wasn't washed and spun. Anyway it's a lovely looking place inside. You kinda feel like you're under dressed in a Tshirt with tablecloths and just the ambience. Neither of us was impressed with our meals, that's ok but what really topped the experience off was the server. I had no refill of tea the entire time we were there. She never asked and I sat there with nothing to drink and she brings the bill out and wants us to pay. That's an indication I will not be back to eat there. We got an electronic device set on 20% gratuity for me to click!! Omg!! She was joking right?!? I noticed our bill was well over $100 mind you.. so I gladly changed the gratuity option and paid the bill with the intention of never returning. They got us once but it won't happen again. Service was lacking. Food was extremely lacking and if you can't even give your guests refills on simple items like drinks, you may not be in business very long. So hopefully they'll read this and try to make positive changes! Hartwell Ga is a very quaint little town to visit and there's much better restaurants there than this one. read more

My daughter took me here between errands for an early 4pm dinner over the Thanksgiving holidays at Lake Hartwell. It was her first time, but she's been wanting to try it. We shared the Florentine Artichoke for Appetizer and the 20 oz. Cowboy Ribeye for our entree. They were both excellent, the portions were generous, and the service was good! It was nice sitting by the window looking at the drizzling rain and Christmas lights of charming Hartwell. Chef Omar graciously came by our table to welcome us, and we chatted a little. Pleasantly surprised for this place in Hartwell. Good cocktails and responsive bartender, excellent table service, good dinner food choices, and prices were reasonable for the quality of food and portion sizes. Firstly, the service was very good. The greeters, waitresses and even busboy did a great job. It's clean, which I appreciate. One of our party enjoyed her Cosmopolitan. My biggest disappointment is the portion sizes considering the prices. We ordered bacon-wrapped shrimp as an appetizer, and they were pretty small and flavorless. Also ordered Caesar salad, also a small serving, but also a little soggy as though it had been sitting for a while. They were out of most of the beers my husband tried to order. The first one he did get (Yuengling) was very flat. He switched it out for a bottled beer (Corona), which was also a bit on the flat side. Another guest agreed that his beers were flat. It has potential, but I would recommend working on serving sizes and improving beer and wine quality and list. read more
