    Free Chips & Salsa!
    Greg P.

Always great friendly service, ice cold beer, fantastic chicken wings, free chips and salsa, beautifully decorated space with a large horseshoe bar.

CHIPS & SALSA: 3/5. more like marinara with a kick but not terrible. HOT WINGS: 3/5 loved the sauce but the wings weren't crispy enough. Would like them done a little more. BIRD DOG: 3/5. Good flavor, difficult to consume bc it's sort of on top of the bun and overpowers the bun so not very handheld. LOADED FRIES: 5/5. Just really good SERVICE: 4/5. Very friendly and attentive ENVIRONMENT: 2/5. Place is nice and big with a good size bar but THE MUSIC IS BAD. it's like you walked into a club. Just not a place you want to hang at for too long. Very stripper bar music vibe. Odd.

Had the fried mushrooms and Louie Burger. Both were good and the beer was cold. A good sports bar place to hang out

I love their wings chicken sandwich and chicken strips. The 40-50yo server/host/whatever is rude.

I went in the Farmer's Market first. It looks like an old barn. There were lots and lots of homemade choices- "canned" soup bases, fruits, vegetables, salsas, jams, flavored oils to name a few. There were also fresh fruits, nuts, honey, vegetables, dairy products and cakes. There are four areas you can eat. The main "restaurant" is small with only a few tables. Evidently it's a favorite of older local gentlemen to gather for an early breakfast. There is also the "Pig Sty," "The Chicken Coop" and the farmer's market area. Some of these can be cold in the winter and warm in the summer so dress accordingly. The farmer's market area is heated by a wood stove. The staff here are so friendly. It felt like we were visiting family. The food was good ole country food. The hubby and I each ordered the breakfast plate. I had coffee with my choice of several flavored creamers. If you pay in cash you get a discount. If you are in the area you should check it out. You can order from the breakfast or lunch menu. Plan to stay a few extra minutes and look around and support local farmers. We brought home some boiled peanuts. Fun experience and good breakfast.

Why does it take so long? We hopped out and got snacks at the food truck next door to tide us over until we could pull up to the window. I'm not exaggerating. Also they have two lines for the drive through to order but just know if you pull up to the outside one absolutely no one will let you in. Might as well go somewhere else. We got donuts while waiting.‍ Can't say that is an endorsement. So disappointing. When I finally got my food about 15-20 min later it was a cold burger. Maybe it had been made fast but the line didn't go fast enough and the burger got cold? I asked them to remake it by going inside and heard the employee saying "she wants it remade", and this employee was nice, and someone else yelling "WHY?" And then a lot of complaining about it. The food is really good and that's such a conflicting thing because I'm unsure if I'll go back. It ultimately ended up taking about 40ish minutes. Edit to add: some staff was super nice and helpful. One offered me a cup for a drink to help with the low blood sugar because I'm diabetic. And that was considerate, so I grabbed some swallow of sweet tea so I didn't get too dizzy. So thank you to her for understanding that diabetes low blood sugar doesn't wait. Once it starts dropping it's dropping.

I…read morehad really hoped that I would leave giving rave reviews of this restaurant, but I just can't do it. The property overlooks the Hartwell Marina, and the front porch is adorable with its rocking chairs and windows to the bar. Inside, it's a deliciously divvy atmosphere with mismatched tables and chairs, high and low ones, and barside seating. They offer live music most (all?) nights that they are open. Always a bonus! I started with a craft cocktail of cucumber something but traded it in for a gin and tonic. My husband ordered his ushe of fried shrimp with onion rings and home fried potato chips. He said the shrimp was good and the onion rings and fried chips were as well. He would not eat the hushpuppies. We both found the outer shell to be tasty, but inside a bit tacky and without much flavor. I ordered grilled grouper which I felt came off the heat just a tad early for my taste. It was fresh enough, though. The green beans I ordered were right out of the can, but the mac & cheese was good. It is not grandmas's homemade fare, but if you like pasta and you like gooey cheese, you'll like this. In general, everything just needed some seasoning and a tweak. My husband ordered a chocolate chip cake which was their dessert offering for the day. It was delicious. Our service was pretty good, and I would give them another try.

Unfortunately, this was a bad if not worse than before. Grouper chewy, heavy, tasteless and days old. Green beans good. Hush puppies tiny and dry. Salad okay. Waitress inattentive. Setting, at sunset on the porch, however, was terrific.
