Food We ordered a variety of $3.00 tacos, which included carne asada, carnitas, and birria. The tacos were pretty good, with the carnitas being my favorite. Additionally, I ordered a mango margarita off the Happy Hour menu for $7.00. The drink was good before my daughter spilled it. 3.5/5 Service The restaurant was not especially busy, but the food did take a while. We ordered chips and salsa and never received them, but weren't charged either. Staff was friendly and did come out to check on us once in a while. 3.5/5 Ambiance The restaurant has a nice bar in the back and quite a few tables. The noise level was reasonable to enjoy the food. 3.5 Overall, the 3321 Bistro experience was fine. The price was the big selling point before and remained the star. Every time I come here-- I get great service and fabulous food! It's also a good spot for brunch but you may want to make a reservation. You'll get chips and salsa to start. Came here to try the South American offerings in their pan-Latino menu. The Venezuelan patacon came out a bit disappointing - especially after having tried an amazing patacon in a Venezuelan restaurant in DC recently. This one was much smaller, and pricier, by comparison. The Colombian bandeja paisa was "interesting" - my dish was originally served with Cuban ropa vieja shredded beef even though the menu called for grounded beef (but I had requested for the substitution for a carne asada, another typical version of bandeja paisa). The shredded beef tasted just okay to me. The accompanying red beans tasted a bit charred and burnt - but also was seasoned well that it was tasty - and surprisingly (and not traditionally) a bit spicy. There was also no arepa served with the dish, as it should have been. There was apologies for the way the dish came out, and brought out the carne asada (grilled steak) after. The grilled steak was sadly very thin, but had a good flavor. I suspect the kitchen staff is not from the Spanish Caribbean or South American or are familiar with their dishes, but I do think they know how to season the food well and also prepare the dishes with quality ingredients. I may return just for that, but I may need to reevaluate to figure out what are the best things to order here. That being said - they offered fried onion rings - which surprisingly was very delicious and some of the best ones I've had in DC thus far. I would highly recommend it even if there's nothing really Latin about it (other than the accompanying pink sauce that goes with it). They also have an excellent happy hour, and was able to enjoy great $5 mojitos of with any fruit mix they have (and they offered similar pricing for margaritas as well). read more

Had lunch here after a visit to the national zoo. Started with the beef empanadas which were amazing! I had the enchiladas Verde as my meal, which was also amazing, and my son was very jealous. I've been here a couple of times and it's never really busy and I don't understand why because I like it! You will start with free chips and salsa while you mull over the very extensive menu... The mojito and fajitas are my favorite go to! The mojitos are flavorful and not too sweet. The mix fajitas come with beautifully seasoned chicken, steak and shrimp. Our server was very friendly but the service was a bit slow considering there was only one other table. This is more of a place to hang out versus eating quickly so I would probably go elsewhere if you're looking to get a bite to eat in a rush. Came on a Saturday afternoon around 4pm and had an overall great time! The place was pretty dead. We came at a weird time, too early for dinner and too late for brunch so I'm unsure how crowded it gets but it was easy to just walk in. The drinks were great. We had peach mojitos and they have a ton of other flavors. To eat we shared the seafood paella. Huge portion, great for 2-4 people. Super fresh and extremely tasty. It was also served piping hot! We snacked on chips and salsa while we waited. The salsa was fresh and good. I was honestly surprised by how good the food is. The place looks a little run down and isnt that clean. We had to ask for new plates because ours were kind of dirty. It gives a vibe that it turns into a party spot at night. They were playing LIT music while we were there so it seems like a fun place for drinks or brunch. They have an awesome brunch deal that goes until like 8pm which is crazy. I would love to come back, I would only hesitate because I do think the place needs a good scrub: the floors, the booths, everything. Having dirty plates isn't a good look! Everything else was a win. The food was super good, the drinks were great, our service was good and friendly and the prices were reasonable. After a long night, we stopped at 3321 bistro with some older kids at 8:30PM. We were tired and looking for something casual. The restaurant was mostly empty, but takeout orders were being prepared and there were a few tables of people socially drinking. The women who worked there took turns checking on us, making sure we had water, and just being generally lovely. The drinks looked great, but I was driving so I didn't try them. It was surprisingly kid friendly for so late on a weekend. We ordered 2 generously portioned kids meals, wings, and ropa viela. All were very good, fresh, and hot. The chips were freshly made and served with a brown salsa. There isn't much else to review. No complaints, a satisfying meal, a nice clean place to dine. For example, we ordered beer and wine; but it took about 15 minutes even with only 2 or 3 tables occupied. In between, the one employee visible was just sitting at the bar eating a sandwich. I have mixed feelings about this establishment. Found them while looking for restaurants with bottomless margaritas for brunch. I called ahead for a reservation. We arrived with my party of 4. 3 of us got the bottomless brunch option. The last person in our party ordered the tuna dip as an appetizer. There was an extremely long wait for our first round of food. The server and manager came by to apologize and said the kitchen was backed up. This did not make sense as there were very few tables seated. The manager offered 10% off on the bill. When we food finally came, they said there was no tuna dip. That guest ordered beef empanadas instead. When those came out, they were literally still frozen in the middle. Once this was brought to the manager's attention, he offered a free item. We asked for the cheesecake. No one ever brought that. We later asked about a tequila shot. Those were provided free of charge. The service throughout the visit was very slow and our server, Elsa was very forgetful. She seemed very distracted and not attentive to the table, which seemed dismissive since we were having a bad experience to begin with. I did give the restaurant 3 stars because the food that we did receive (without issues) was good and the brunch was a good deal. However, when we asked for the bill, it was incorrect. I was so excited to find a Bistro that served everything I love to eat. Since I couldn't order everything on the menu I started off with a mojito while waiting on my food and it was so perfect!! I ordered a few dishes but as you can see everyone ate their food and didn't take any pictures. My plate was the ropa Vieja full of flavor, the meat was seasoned to perfection, the rice just like my nanas which means it's the absolute best! The salteña was so tasteful took me back to my roots which again means that the flavor is one of a kind. Only in Bolivia have I tasted such amazing Salteña and now only a few minutes away from home. Overall, the food is good but the service is not. You will seldom receive what you ordered and parts of your group will finish their meals before the rest of your group has seen their first courses. Bottomless brunch is brought out too slowly to receive your moneys worth. Facilities are clean but the hours aren't great (who wants to wait until 11 am to start eating brunch?). - 1 star for inattentive (albeit friendly) service. The food isn't always brought out correctly, though it does always taste good. If you are uncomfortable with correcting your server, get comfortable or you won't receive your order! Ps the water tasted like spoiled milk - no idea why but it did. - 1 star for a deceptive tip structure. Initiative 82 enables restaurants to include a 20% gratuity to raise minimum wage up to the 15.50 in 2027 When they choose to do this, they must cite any extra tip is additional. Here you're charged a 20% service fee and still asked for extra tip - however the tip line should say "additional tip" instead it says "tip." If the servers aren't receiving the service fee then they need to disclose that. Otherwise it's considered a deceptive fee per the AG's office. This practice is hurting servers from receiving tips. I'd recommend the servers receive better training to ensure that customers come back. Unfortunately this is the third or fourth time I've experienced the same issues - it's not limited to a single server. I hope they can improve this as I love coming here but don't always have the patience to receive something other than what I've ordered then feeling gauged at check out. read more

Came here for the all you can eat/all you can drink deal. For about $35 I would say its a decent deal. I enjoyed the margarita I had, but those pineapple mimosas were dyno-mite. I enjoyed all the food I ate, specifically the empanadas were very good today. I will say I was not a fan of the 3321 sauce, I believe it was mayo mized with ketchup, I wish they would stop making this and instead do a homemade hot sauce, but that's just me. Went here after a walk through rock creek park on a Sunday at 2:45 pm. We had walked out of another restaurant nearby after asking for the table to be cleaned and getting a lackluster cleaning of the table in response. We tried two other places before landing here. When we walked in we immediately were met with a friendly greeting from the waitress and sat at a table. We had the bottomless brunch including drinks for 29.95 each. I got margaritas and she got mimosas. We ordered four pairs of small plates each, trying nearly everything on the menu. Each dish was nicely balanced with good flavors. We tried the Mixed Fajitas, Vegan Rice Volcano, and Vegan Tacos. They were all simply delicious. Seasoning was on point. By the time I wanted to take pictures for the review most of what I ordered had been devoured by my family, only reason I was able to get a pic of the vegan tacos was because I ordered 2 orders. We live in the neighborhood and have been here at least 4 or 5 times. Each time everything tastes fresh and always looks amazing. We love having the wider menu options from across Latin America, compared to the other standard Tex Mex places around, and some of our favorites include the ropa vieja, carne guisada, and the plantain & black beans tostadas. Plus the number of vegan options is super helpful. We've always had great service, but like everywhere these days customers just have to be a little more patient as everywhere is understaffed. The location is easy to miss if you're just walking by on the sidewalk. I wish they could work out a deal for some patio seating. read more

Went to this place on a Saturday at 4:30 PM. My son ordered chicken nuggets which left over cooked but he was hungry. I ordered lomo saltado. It was $22. I have had this dish multiple times at other places.. I have never had it served with green and red peppers mixed into it. It always has onions and tomatoes only. The steak was overcooked and didn't really have very much flavor. The main flavor seem to be black pepper. Usually you get the meal and the juice from the steak is drizzled all over the french fries and the rice but this time there was barely any kind of fluid. there are so many countries represented on the menu. I feel like the cook should really just concentrate on the countries that he is familiar with and narrow it down to maybe three or four different countries. The server was great. Went here yesterday for the Cinco De Mayo event and was told that bottomless happy hour ended at 8pm, even though it's advertised here as ending at 9pm. I arrived at 7:20pm for my reservation at 7:30pm. I sat myself at the table with the reserved card with my name on it. I wasn't greeted or said a word to by a single staff member until I actively asked when we would have a waiter's attention until around 7:50pm. Needless to say it was a busy time and one staff member told us there was a backup in the kitchen and they had new staff but it was the lack of customer service for me. Yeah you're backed up and it's a tough day, but you can greet folks as they walk in and let me know what's going on from the beginning. It was a mess. Only the tables with white people were being tended to and my party left at 8pm without water or drinks being served at that point. They did bring a basket of chips and salsa and those were good but they didn't make up for the way my party was treated. We went to @laredodcrestaurant down the street and they accommodated us with no problem and treated us with respect even though they were backed up too! We had drinks and just a better experience overall. It's a shame because the food looked really good at 3321, but the attitude of the staff counts just as much as the food itself. I really could make this at home but I took the time to make a reservation, coordinate with friends, metro and drive to this place after work to be treated like wallpaper?
