Overall we had a great meal. Everything was delicious and well-flavored. We got the ceviche sampler although our favorite was probably the original one (bottom). The arroz con mariscos was nicely seasoned, and the lamb dish was tender. No notes!

Pisco y Nazca ceviche gastrobar was an excellent experience from start to finish. The chic decor and modern atmosphere made the restaurant feel stylish and energetic without being overwhelming. The menu was creative and exciting, and the cocktail selection paired perfectly with the food. The service was friendly, attentive, and made the entire evening feel welcoming and relaxed. We especially enjoyed the pork belly bao buns, which were packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The tacu seco de cordero was rich, tender, and incredibly satisfying, while the arroz con mariscos was fresh, flavorful, and loaded with seafood. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience with great food, excellent cocktails, and a beautiful atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

We came here for dinner and made a reservation ahead of time to make sure we had a table, though it looked like they also offer walk-in bar seating. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The food was delicious, especially the dessert! We were visiting a friend who recommended this spot, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, but even with a full house, it was still easy to have a conversation at the table. Overall, a great dining experience and a place we'd happily return to.

Pisco y Nazca is one of the best Peruvian restaurants in the area. I love their pulpo appetizer. Their lomo Saltado is a very tasty entree.

Potatoes. Didn't love it and kind of bland

This place is a solid 3.5 stars but doesn't hit a 4 because the main dishes were underwhelming. We came here on a Monday night and it was pretty busy. They have good drink options which was nice for a group which all had different tastes. We started with appetizers, including the chicken empanadas, the tuna tacos, and ceviche sampler. The chicken empanadas were good, if not particularly memorable. But had a nice crunch on the shell and the inside had a nice savory flavor and not dry. The tuna tacos, which didn't have the most appetizing color, was also tasty. The tuna was tender and balanced well with the crispy shell. The ceviche sampler was also delicious, each one having a different flavor profile. I liked the tigre de leche the best in terms of the acidity and brightness. I just wish the ceviche had some kind of vessel to eat it with. One of the ceviche had plantain chips which was nice but I wanted more. Without it, the texture is just one note. For the main dishes, we got the lomo saltado and the aji de gallina which are two, iconic Peruvian dishes. Both were just meh. The aji was the better of the two. The sauce was flavored well with the creaminess of the sauce not overwhelming the garlic and tumeric flavors. But the rice was SUPER dry, almost crunchy. The lomo saltado was even worse. The beef was overly cooked, some pieces were very sinewy and chewy. It was also overly salty and the veggie to meat ratio heavily favored the veggies and made the dish feel cheap. Overall, it was fine but given the options for Peruvian in DC, not sure this deserves 4 stars+.

Pisco y Nazca was an outstanding choice for an early lunch on a Sunday. We had a flight to catch back home, so this this was our last meal In DC. We booked a table for noon and they were had a regular menu as well as a weekend brunch menu that allowed you to choose 3 courses for $34 dollars. The latter was a great option that had a great variety and seemed like an unbelievable value. The atmosphere here is nice. It's just a few steps below street level and has some fun photography- especially love the large pic of llamas. Who doesn't love llamas? Throughout the meal our server was attentive and fast. She was a pro! To start I had a virgin Pina Colada. This was delicious and had a lot of coconut cream for a smooth finish! From the brunch menu I choose the Tuna Tartare Tacos. This was a true 5-star dish! I wavered every morsel of them and relished in the perfect harmony of the wonton shells, dreamy tune and the rich avocado cream. Next, my main entree was the Crepes de Aji de Gallina. This was so delicious, I could not stop eating it- even after I felt fullness coming on. The chicken mixed with the Hollandaise sauce was just magical and the egg on top took it to mythical status! Last I had the dessert course which was the Suspiro, which was Manjar blanco custard with meringue and passion fruit glaze. This was too sweet, so I link had a few bites, but the overall 5 starts of all the other comments of the meal are enough to offset this one miss. I love Peruvian food and try to seek out new planes to try when I travel. Pisco y Nazca is a place I'm so glad I discovered and I'll definitely be back next time I'm in DC.

I was craving some Peruvian food since I really don't get it that often so we decided to give this place a try. I was glad we got a reservation since it was a bit crowded but our table was ready right away. I had one of their mocktails and it was very well done, didn't just taste like a bunch of mixers without the alcohol like so many do. I also got the Jalea and it was just the right level of flavor and all around deliciousness. The atmosphere can be a bit loud and bustling and there is a lot going on with the decor, but it was a fun evening. The fish that was part of the Jalea was nice and lightly breaded with a good amount of crisp and good flavor, but the breading was certainly not overwhelming. All in all a good meal. Paying our bill was a bit odd since we got forced into the pay on the phone app they have because we wanted to split the bill, but otherwise a great experience.

Out of this world. I have only had Peruvian food a few times, and this has set my expectations high for any other food in the future. The blend of spices and authentic cuisine is incredibly satisfying, and the portion size is great for the price. My favorite was the Pescado a la Macho. Our server, Hugo, was so kind. He was very attentive and made our guest with a birthday feel very special. The decoration was beautiful as well. I loved the blue tiles and lighting. Overall, this was an incredible experience.

Stopped in on a Sunday night at 5 PM without a reservation. They said they could squeeze us in if we were out by 6 PM. Had a great experience and visited again on a Friday night. Called ahead the second time and they were able to get us a 5:30 table as long as we were out by 7:00. The food: Chocolate Dome - this dessert was my favorite dish from our entire DC trip. It first starts with a show of warm ganache drizzle dissolving a chocolate dome and revealing a wonderland of sweet goodness. It is a symphony of tastes and textures that somehow all work together. There is temperature contrast from the ganache and ice cream. There are a ton of textures from the ganache, chocolate, ice cream, crispy bits, and sweet potato mash. Yes, sweet potato mash sounds weird, but it's a pleasant background note that helps keep this dish from being too sweet. Pescado a lo Macho - this dish has a lot of yummy and interesting elements. Well cooked whitefish on top of a seafood medley in a fantastic orange sauce (aji panca and aji amarillo peppers). The sauce went well with Yuca Fries, but we were putting it on some rice that came with other dishes. Ceviche Sampler - three styles of fish ceviche featuring fresh fish with a big hit of citrus. I had a slight preference for the Cremoso de Aji Amarillo, but I liked them all. Crocante - (3) little mashed potato towers with a fried shrimp on top. Empanadas de Carne - nice flaky crust and well seasoned Conchitas à la Parmesana - (3) scallops and Parmesan with toasted ciabatta in a scallop-shaped dish. It's more cheese than seafood, but hard to complain about this one. Lomo Saltado - has a slight Asian feel to it because of the soy and oyster sauce. Nicely seasoned with tender beef. Wish the fries had a little more texture to them, but overall a very tasty dish. Ceviche Nikkei - fresh and large pieces of tuna. Tastes like a traditional poke. Kid Lomito Saltado - if you have a very picky eater, this is a good inexpensive option. It is very plain for kids with a more open palate. Beef cubes, fries, and rice. Vegetales Salteados - similar sauce as the Lomo Saltado. Yellow and green zucchini, mushrooms, tomato, and a lot of red onion. For beverages, I thought the red sangria and chicha morada were tasty and met expectations. The white sangria was more of a bubbly mixed drink - peach schnapps, triple sec, sparkling wine. Pisco Punch was fine - pineapple, not too sweet. Passion Fruit juice was unadulterated passion fruit flavor, but definitely on the tart side. Two very memorable meals in one trip. We ordered Chocolate Dome a second time and our server said not to sleep on the Pionono, so will have to try that out next time.

First and foremost, my apologies for missing the message that was written as a response to my previous review. Had I noticed it, I would've responded and probably came sooner! So here's my HONEST AND UPDATED REVIEW: For valentine's, my boyfriend surprised me with a dinner date here and he had no idea I had been here a long time ago. Compliments to the chef, kitchen, and staff because this time around, I had an entirely different experience. Because it was a romantic date night, I decided to not take out my camera but I do have some highlights : first of all, that ceviche is so delicious! We got the mixed ceviche and I'm still thinking about the calamari and octopus. I was a little bummed out that ours only had one piece of shrimp and that it didn't come with plantain chips like the others but I would still go back and order it the same way again. Secondly, wow wow wow wow you need to try the lomo saltado roll. It was LIFE CHANGING. I cannot get over the burst of flavors in every bite. Lastly, what can I say, we love protein and I ordered a chicken lomo saltado and it was so flavorful and delicious. From my first experience to now - total night and day experience. I cannot wait to come back again!

First stop in D.C. and was the best decision. The food was out of this world. We had never tried Peruvian and it blew us away. The presentation was beautiful and the food tasted just as good. Our waitress was patient and explained everything to us and helped us to decide what to order. Great service!!!

    Ceviche tradicionale
    Vinh N.

We came here on a very crowded Thursday night and ate at the bar; mostly standing. Prices are typical for downtown DC with appetizers going for around $20 and entrees 30+. Most cocktails were about $15+. They have happy hour discounts if you make it there before 7pm. My ceviche tradicionale was fresh. The causa tartare was okay. I would argue the potato almost kills the taste of the tuna tartare. The bartenders were nice checking up on us frequently. As for the drinks, I think pisco is a type of wine and is the base many of the cocktails. I had the nazca mule and the clasico. Both tasted not too strong but you definitely taste the pisco over everything else.. You should definitely make reservations if you want to have a sit down meal. I'm looking forward to trying the entrees that way.

A friend wanted to try this place so I gave it another shot after bad service my first time but unfortunately nothing has changed. The server appeared nonstop and asked if we were done eating even with food on our plate. We then were rushed to pay. In spite of the constant rushing, we stayed to finish our conversation and our water cups were taken. This restaurant is not something I'd recommend. Even if the restaurant is not busy (similar to our dinner reservation at 5pm) you will feel like you're being rushed out. There's plenty of other Peruvian restaurants in the area to go instead.

Inside had small tables and a kinda casual cocktail bar vibe Beef Noodles - the highlight and actually very good! The noodles are long and handmade and chewy. They hold onto the sauce very well! The sauce has a slight kick and is very savory. The beef is soft and also flavorful! I feel the price for the portion is kinda expensive though 8/10 Chili wontons - skin is silky and soft, sauce is savory with a small kick as well! Even though the sauces look similar to beef noodle they taste very different. The fillings had good flavor and overall were good but were a bit tougher and dryer than I would prefer. 6/10 Crab fried rice - crab is slightly overcooked but naturally sweet. It has a light curry taste throughout and was pretty good but didn't really stand out 5.5/10 Mapo tofu - slight kick and nice savory taste in the sauce! However I think they cut the tofu pieces way too large or the tofu they chose had way too much tofu flavor that overpowers the sauce. I'd prefer a very light silky tofu but this was a soft tofu. 6/10 Vpod - at first it just tasted like orange juice but then the other flavors peek through on the after taste and when I mixed it more. Even though it was good, it still felt very basic 5/10 Philadelphia Scotsman - it's pretty ginger forward. Technically the level of ginger spice is fine but strong but then the rest of the drink got completely overpowered and so this just wasn't that great 2.5/10

I know reservations are probably highly recommended, but we were fortunate to walk in at just the right moment and snag a seat. The seating is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening. The atmosphere is just my style, an elegant, dark, grown and sexy vibe that really sets the mood. The decor is striking, with thoughtful touches that create an inviting space to unwind. While it leans a bit on the pricier side, the exceptional service more than justifies the cost. Jordan and the team were incredibly knowledgeable about both the drinks and food menu, offering suggestions that perfectly matched our tastes. We tried two standout drinks that I can't recommend enough: the Attractive Nuisance and El Tiburon, (which is an Old Fashioned made with gin). The bartenders here clearly know what they're doing, each drink was crafted with care and precision. The good music in the background added to the overall ambiance, making it a delightful spot to spend an evening.

Because the last time we were here, we could find a seat easily. So never thought about making a reservation. As we walked in, the place was packed. Lucky we got a table in the corner for an hour. One of us had to stand unfortunately. Drinks were great but felt overpriced. Food was delicious too. Fried potatoes and tartar is a must have. The service was great. Ambiance is amazing as well. Slightly on the darker side in the inside. They also have outdoor seating.

For context, my last visit to DC in my teens, I was looking to view DC, in a new light, as an adult. Entering Jane Jane somehow felt like home. The intimate, inclusive, dimly lit bar, decorated to feel both modern and vintage reminded me of my favorite spot in Houston, Nobies. While Nobies offers great food, Jane Jane kills it with their cocktails...and the complimentary bowl of cheese its...perfect bar food I guess? Their legend's menu is just that. Although I came in anticipating ordering one drink, that one turned into two after trying the "A La Playa". I'm not sure I'd sip it on the beach, but the sweet, slightly Smokey, fruity concoctions now lives on my list of favorites drinks. It has the perfect balance of flavors. While a $17 cocktail is not an everyday outing (for me atleast), their drinks are strong, and legends worth trying. The shenanigans on 14th are just a welcome bonus.

Five stars for the host and the bartender. Two stars for the server…read more It's really eclectic place with limited seats. The decor is fun and bright. If there's nowhere to sit, there's standing room where you can order from the bar and wait. Perhaps it's my fault for having too high of hopes but I left feeling underwhelmed by the drink selection. We ordered two crop tops - it's a gin drink with a dash of red wine. We ordered while we were waiting in the standing room...and then we were seated...and we were still waiting...so it took a long while. With tip we paid $44 for two drinks. If there's a happy hour, perhaps that's the better play but I won't be returning.
