Chet Paxson owns this garage. I thought he was a good friend and mechanic…read more I caught him trying to rip me off red-handed. I finally saved up enough money to get my rear brakes done. I called and made an appointment (you will never be able to make an appointment in the morning hours cause Chet just won't do it.) for around 1:00 p.m.. He put my car up on the rack and after checking my brakes closely, he came and told me that my brakes would cost me $220.00. I kind of balked at the price because I just saw another local place advertising brakes for $75.00 per axle. I told Chet that $220.00 was a little more than I had to spend. Chet knows my situation because of our previous conversations. He knew I lived on Veterans Disability. After about 3 or 4 minutes of me thinking about it I told him to put it back together and get it off of the rack. I just could NOT see spending that much money on rear brakes. About 2 days later a friend of a friend looked at my brakes and said that they were almost new and that all they needed was an adjuster! A $10.00 part. I went over to look at them and he was right. The pads looked like they WERE new. Side by side with the ones that the friend was going to put on proved to me that yes, Paxson WAS trying to rip me off. He did it with a straight face to!! My advice to all who read this is to by-pass Paxons Village Service on Park in Columbiana. You will save money going elsewhere. Always check the work that your mechanic says your car needs. Does anyone know where I could find an honest mechanic??

As is similar to an above complaint, I asked the sales rep and his manager if the car had any accidents and was told very clearly that it had not. Upon delivery of the car it was clear that the info they provided was false and the sales rep informed me that their dealership had, in fact, body work done to the car but did not paint the work because it would have cost them too much. The finance person did everything possible to obfuscate the actual interest rate and bank fees, which was not clearly shown until delivery of the car. His explanation of the rate difference, when questioned, was suspect at best, which is likely generous. Lastly, the car was delivered with only one key, which was never mentioned prior to delivery. The sales rep texted me during the delivery that he would provide me with a second key. After two weeks and only when pressed, he said "we just don't have the power to expense something like that unfortunately." Extremely poor experience dealing with Columbiana Ford. The only suggestion I can provide to other consumers considering Columbiana Ford is BUYER BEWARE.

I worked with Clay who was…read moreamazing but got to interact with several other employees and the were all absolutely wonderful. I went in for an oil change and they went above and beyond! The oil change included a tire rotation and car wash. They also checked over everything and found a leak in my tire. They even fixed it for free since since it wasn't something I was expecting. When I got to my car, I was surprised with a nice bottle of ice cold water on this hot, humid day. This is customer service to the max and I am officially a lifetime customer! I had an engine that was bad from when I purchased the car and the warranty was covering the engine. I was told in October that my car would be done in TWO WEEKS... I waited and waited and waited for a call for one to never happen. On January 3rd I called them to ask what was going on. They said oh good news warranty covered your engine. I said yes I know they did. You told me in October it would be done in two weeks and it's now Jan. They both denied making this claim. I have witnesses that heard it. They also stated that we were allowed to make payments to them which is why we agreed to allow them to work on my car. All to turn around and BOLD FACE LIE yet again and state they never said that. They had told my wife over the phone the total without the deductible would be around $300-$400. Include my deductible would around $500 max. I was charged $1050. I paid them all the money and didn't make payments as they had once agreed upon. I talked to my warranty department and they said they sent in the invoice for the car in mid December. Mind you, you cannot do that until the work is supposedly done. When I called on Jan 3, they said it would be 2 more weeks before it was done. If you can trust LIARS to work on your car, then this is the place for you!
