We happened to find Westside Tire just from seeing what was close to us on Google Maps, and we definitely lucked out! They were able to get the tire examined and patched in a little under an hour, and we were back on the road quickly (and it was only $30). I was ready to pay for a new tire if needed, and their honesty and integrity by just patching it rather than replacing it is greatly appreciated. The wonderful service here honestly turned around everything about that day, and we made it back to NYC safely about 7 hours later. He originally took my call about the Honda I saw online, and when I asked if it had a clean title, he not only texted me the answer, but a picture of the report. I planned on coming in the next day, but due to a change in plans, I was able to come that same day. He answered every text and informed me that he would tell me if the car had been sold, so we wouldn't drive up to find out then. He also let me know the policy on used cars due to how quickly they're moving right now- something that the guy at the other dealership never cared to do. As you can tell by now, I had a bitter taste in my mouth from my previous experience and expected every salesman to be the same. Tim was not. He went above and beyond, and every single person that we encountered was extremely friendly and eager to help. Tim was finishing up with another customer, so another guy pulled the car around. I didn't catch his name, but he was extremely friendly! Once Tim finished up, we took a test drive and all talked on the ride. Not once did I feel pressured into buying. Tim was so personable and laid back, and I got really good vibes from the business and atmosphere which made me purchase me awesome new Honda that day! He was straight forward with pricing and negotiation and it was such a painless process. Matt, the finance guy, was also super friendly and made the paperwork a breeze. During this transaction, the merchant exhibited major deceptive business practices, which forced me…read moreto immediately halt all contact and have the truck towed away: Refusal to Return Parts: When I asked about getting the old parts back if a replacement happened, the mechanic claimed a "core charge" prevented it. When I offered to pay the core charge out-of-pocket to keep my property, he refused to call his supplier to check the price, aggressively claiming he was "too busy" while I stood right in front of him. Refusal to Stand By His Work: The merchant wrote "New PCM to fix issue" on his paperwork. However, when I asked him to sign his name to validate that his diagnosis was correct and would actually fix the vehicle, he completely refused to sign it. Fabricated Billing Items: The merchant charged for items like an engine coolant sensor and its wiring. However, the vehicle's computer was not even communicating or reading data to generate a trouble code for that system. They billed for things that could not possibly have been diagnosed. Definitive Proof of Fraud (Dealership Invoice Attached): Because of his hostile behavior and refusal to sign his name to his own diagnosis, I had the truck towed directly to an official manufacturer dealership for a certified inspection. As clearly proven by the attached Official Dealership Invoice: The truck never needed a new engine computer (PCM). The actual issue was simply a broken wire running to the PCM. The dealership repaired the wire, and the truck runs perfectly on its original computer.
