The view is what is the killer at this restaurant! Best to come at around 6:30 PM and then you get the daylight time as it turns into nighttime. We did a package for a three course meal and so they give you the menu and tell you which groups of food you can pick one of each of. I had a Byron Bay pork belly appetizer with roumolaude with an Asian coleslaw type thing is one of my appetizers. My husband had the. Morton Bay bug broccoli bisque. This is not a soup, but you are giving a little serving dish of the bisque to pour on as much as you'd like on your bug. lol for our main entrées, my husband had Heramassa Kingfish that he said was light and very yummy. I had the duck dish as that's one of my favorite meals. I can't say that this was cooked the way I tend to like my duck, which is more pink in it. It was overcooked . T It was chewy and there wasn't enough sauce, which would've helped. Last but at least we both had desserts and they were both fantastic! He had the lemon tart, mango meringue, and I had the Caramelia raspberry sponge cake. It was delicious! You can't beat the view from this restaurant and the service was very attentive and they were very friendly. The only thing I would say is they could update it inside a bit more. Maybe new carpet and furniture but all in all it was worth it. I think we paid $72 per person, so it wasn't cheap and then you still had to buy your alcohol (2 glasses of wine cost $51 ) which is pretty expensive, oysters were extra, side dishes were extra as well. After receiving a glowing recommendation, my wife and I made a reservation and dined there in late October when our cruise ended in Sydney. Let's cut to the chase: The Good: - The Food: Generally very good with generous portions, especially for the six-course dinner that we'd reserved. - The View: That's what this place is all about. The view is great. The Bad: - The "Ambiance": The Tower was built in 1970 and this restaurant looks it. While the ground floor mall entrance area is exactly what you'd expect a mall to look like, the Infinity Restaurant is dated, dark and drab. What probably looked futuristic and cool 54 years ago is now just depressing. Further, the old, cheap furniture looks like it's been there for decades. The tables, chairs, carpeting, lighting, etc. wouldn't be acceptable in a budget deli. And at these prices, what we thought would be a first-class experience was simply underwhelming and disappointing. (If you're still using 20-year-old budget furniture, at least provide table cloths...) - The Service: We've dined at some of the nicest and most unique restaurants across the United States and a few in other countries -- enough to know the difference between attentive, relaxed service and excruciating wait times between courses. The people were nice enough. But I can't recall dining in any other restaurant that employed so may people accomplishing so little -- at any price. Lots of scurrying around but poor results. We arrived at 6:30PM and we weren't on the elevator to leave until 9:45PM. That's not relaxed service. That's just plain lazy or incompetent. - The Value: Simply overpriced. I understand that dining in a "premium" restaurant isn't just about the food. And we're willing to pay more for a special experience. But the management here doesn't seem to recognize that their staff is unfocused and their space is old and underwhelming. Is anyone here paying attention to anything but the cash register? The city view is what this place is all about. If this same operation (with the same menu, service and pricing) was located in any conventional space, it would quickly fail. I love the view here. Come just before sunset and grab a seat at the bar for a drink - it's a $20 minimum per person which comes out to one drink each. I've only experienced one other revolving restaurant (in Gold Coast) but nothing compares to the beautiful view of Sydney City, especially at night. The staff were attentive & were cute enough to make the experience more enjoyable & more special for the boyfriends birthday. Very professional. What a dining experience! This is certainly something you have to do while in Sydney especially if you're looking for something more fancy and beautiful views! We had a great 3 course meal and a bottle of wine. I even added a supplemental dish of the ribeye - worth it! This was my third time here as the view is our favorite on our anniversary. However since the last time we were here over a year ago the menu has taken quite a cut. I didn't like the look of anything so I got the steak, which was good but not fantastic for a $70 meal. The drinks were good, however they often took quite some time. I used to love the kangaroo tartare and the degustation with paired wines, however this is no longer an option and as we were seated we were told we had a two hour window to eat. So we received a voucher from red balloon from our kids for Christmas to have lunch here. As a Sydney sider, I haven't eaten up here for many many years and didn't have high expectations. I thought the lunch may be at the buffet but was pleasantly surprised to find out it was at the 360 Bar and Dining. Checking in to get up to the restaurant does take some time. I had read this so we went to the check in counter around 12.20pm for a 1pm reservation. We are glad we did as we got to our table around 12.45/12.50. We felt for the people before us who had a 12.30 reservation and got upstairs at the same time we did. They give you a dining time of 2 hours - which surprisingly the meal is timed to this limit very well, but doesn't allow for loitering. Apart from those few little annoyances (that's what the lost star if for) the food and drinks were exquisite. I started with a peach Bellini and it is the best I have had in Sydney so far....... maybe even at all. The entree of asparagus with a variety of mushrooms was delicious and well presented - we both had the pork belly - how could we not and it was served with roast peach - it was delicious and the chocolate dessert was beautiful. All of the food was presented and cooked to perfection. The service was also very good, the staff are well trained and apart from the odd but noticeable power struggle between the man checking guests in and the very astute and capable waitress - it was relatively smooth. My job leads me to notice and read people and he was not having her show him up ...... all the while not making eye contact with us at all - meaning she shone compared to him as she had all the good qualities he didn't! Overall the dining experience exceeded my expectations and I would recommend definitely giving it a go. The voucher included wine and 3 courses with bread. It did not include extra drinks or coffee but the selection menu for the 4 courses was very generous and you would have to be very fussy not to find something you liked. My boyfriend and I have just returned from 360 Bar and Dining. We made our reservations six months ago and were looking forward to a lovely last meal in Australia. Unfortunately, this didn't happen. The restaurant was serving a multi-course fixed price dinner, which we both ordered. About five minutes after we were seated, I became ill from vertigo (the restaurant spins and I became very dizzy). To their credit, the restaurant did accommodate our request to be seated elsewhere, but unfortunately I was still unable to tolerate the spinning and had to leave the restaurant as our second course was being served. My boyfriend stayed behind and requested that they box up our food, as we were unable to eat it on-site. The manager denied this request, stating that they didn't have any to-go containers. The manager also stated that we are responsible for paying for both of our meals in their entirety. Again, they were unwilling to either provide us our food to-go, or prorate the food bill, despite the fact we were only able to eat one out of several courses. It is my understanding that they did not charge us for our beverages, and my boyfriend was given a 20% off coupon for an affiliated restaurant that we were unable to use as it was our last night in Australia. Bottom line: We paid roughly $300AUS for four oysters, one non-alcoholic beverage, one cocktail, and two pieces of bread. BEST MEAL IN SYDNEY! Warning: there are two restaurants up there - the 360 Bar and Restaurant (a la carte and pricier) and the Sydney Tower Restaurant (buffet). If you're looking to spoil yourself, 360 is the way to go. As expected the view is phenomenal since its a rotating restaurant so you get a 360 view of Sydney. People might complain about the price but remember you're also paying for the view. In my opinion for the quality, portion, and presentation of the dishes, the price is worth it. For starters we got the prawns with melon and some crab medley with chicharon. Both were fantastic. For the mains the Mrs. got the Tagliatelle. If you're a mushroom lover, you'll love this dish. A flavor-packed pasta dish. I got the Master Kobe Australian Wagyu (MB9 rating) and I have to say that it's the BEST Australian Wagyu I've had the whole trip. We were in Australia (Sydney and Hamilton Island) for about 12 days and I ate a TON of Australian Waygu and usually from fine dining restaurants. Well this was an insane experience. I felt as though I was in a little space ship for the gods. This place is sweet because you're continually moving in a circle so you can see the entire Sydney skyline. You definitely feel the moving at first, but then you get used to it. Anyway, if you're wondering why the price is high, it's probably because of the view (you think?) and the food is incredible. This meal was given to me as a present otherwise I couldn't afford it- heck I couldn't afford the extra drinks and mashed taters. But for a special occasion, or if you're a tourist... you should really go here. It's been a year and I still remember the food... (that may not be that strange for me since I'm obsessed with nice dinners, but whatever). We started out with a complementary cosmopolitan... quite tasty but very strong. And then we progressed to some kangaroo, scallops and shrimp. My date's kangaroo dish was very different because it was cold and had some salad on top, but it wasn't bad... just a very unique dish. The flavor was pretty strong, but I'm not sure how I felt about cold kangaroo. My scallop with shrimp dish was lovely. The broth added a nice creamy taste to the nicely cooked seafood. The main course was absolutely... possibly orgasmically fantastic. I ordered the pork- ORDER THE PORK! It was nestled with some mashed potatoes with stuffed figs. The flavors from the sweet figs and robust flavor of the pork made beautiful divine flavor babies. It really was incredibly delicious. My date loved his duck as well, but it wasn't as good as my pork dish, but it was still very very yummy. And then came the varieties of desserts. Whenever there's an option to try a sample of all of them I can't resist. I believe we had an assortment of creme brulee, some sort of custard, chocolate mouse and something else. They all were fantastic. So... GO! Because it's awesome. I'd suggest going in the summer when you can watch the sunset. Sadly, I had just flown in and it was fall so there wasn't time. But the view at night is definitely spectacular. Also, it is a fancy restaurant, so you should probably dress up. This experience reminded me of my special occasion dinner at Chicago's Hancock tower restaurant on the 95th floor, which can be summarized in this nutshell: a fantastic view to be absorbed, with lackluster, mediocre food. At 360, everything looked better than it actually was. I'll give the kitchen props for their plating skills, but the oysters were fishy and gritty, the scallops and duck breast were just average, and the chocolate tart with honeycomb crisps, microgreens, and popcorn ice cream just had too many flavors going on. I finished it all because this meal literally emptied my wallet. After I had just gone to the ATM. Not only was the food underwhelming, but there were some gaps in service. 1) Would it kill the restaurant to inform your customers if you're going to charge $12 AUD for still water? WTF? What a scam. When asked if we wanted still or sparkling water, I thought still meant tap. 2) We informed the waitress that our glasses didn't smell clean (my best description is wet dog). She replaced our glasses a little disbelievingly, but the replacement set smelled the same, so something must be going on with the dishwasher or cleaning water or something. Blech. Tell me that wouldn't leave a bad taste in your mouth. 3) SInce we were early for our reservation, we were seated at the bar, and over 10 minutes passed, with no one providing us a menu or greeting. I walked up to the bartender to tell him we wanted to order drinks, and he told me to go sit by a bar table, and someone would be by. UH, that's what we had been doing for the past 15 minutes. Another example of service just being off. 4) Lastly, I thought a restaurant of this caliber would clean off the tabletop in between courses (with those crumb scoopers to get all the crumbs from the hearty foccacia served before dinner!). Nope. Beware that the menu option here is either 2 courses for $85 AUD or 3 courses for $95 AUD. One final tip: the bathrooms are unique (mirrors everywhere), but the women's stall doors require you to push hard to open them (apparently no locks either). My friend and I came here for dinner during Vivid Sydney. The service was impeccable with someone constantly asking if we needed anything. The restaurant rotates very slowly so we really couldn't feel it. I started with the scallop entree, which was delicious. The scallops were perfectly cooked and tasted great with the coconut and pomegranate. For main, we both had the lamb rack and had the rosemary salt fries and mashed potatoes. I am really glad we got sides as there was only two lamb chops per plate. The lamb was delicious and well cooked. The mashed potatoes and fries were fine nothing special. For dessert, I had the apple crumble and my friend had the chocolate desert. It was a deconstructed apple crumble but the cinnamon ice cream and apples were a great way to end the meals. So this is an interesting one to review, because there's one simple caveat. There are TWO restaurants - you have to be careful of which one you're reading about. 1 of the restaurants is a buffet. To be honest, I wasn't really expecting that much as I thought this place was more about the tourism and the view than it was about the food. While this place isn't the best, most amazing food I've ever had the pleasure of shoving in my pie hole, it was well above average, and surprisingly so. Each of the courses was well above average fare, but the steak (recommended by our waiter), and the dessert, were fantastic. Pair that with what is undeniably the best view in Sydney (the restaurant does rotate after all), and consider the fact that these guys make a mean cocktail (the list of cocktails is extensive, and honestly, if I wanted a drink with a view, I'd choose this over Shangri-La) - it's a winning formula. AVOID. I've been in Australia for a week, spending approx. $60 a night for 4 person dinner. I decided to splurge and treat the group for $75 per person. Assuming this would be similar to other 360 restaurants in the world (i.e. Toronto & Seattle - both of which I recommend), I didn't bother checking the reviews. You really can't beat 360 Bar. You've all seen the massive Westfield (previously Centerpoint) tower that protrudes from the cityscape like a UFO on a pole. But what IS it, you might ask yourself. And how does one get up there? I asked the same questions, and recently made it a mission to find out the answers. Turns out 360 Bar and Dining is a multi-level restaurant, bar and function venue. The reception desk is on level 4 of the Westfield, just up from Pitt St and Market St. The restaurant is a little out of my price range personally, but you can go up there and have a cocktail in their lounge. So that's what I did. It wasn't as busy as I expected it to be on a Wednesday night around 7. In fact, we were able to peruse the menu leisurely and take a seat on the comfy black bench in front of the floor to ceiling windows. And did I mention to the coolest part of 360 Bar? It whirls around. Slowly, thank god, but if you nurse your $20 cocktail long enough (i.e. a little over an hour), you will literally get a panoramic view of the harbour and the city from the highest structure in Sydney. I was greatly disappointed in this 360 restaurant. Every major city I visit that has a 360 restaurant, I visit. However, this was the worst experience I've had at one. I will start that the service was lacking greatly. My glass was empty four times and I had to keep asking for refills (which they only filled up half way). We were told that there's a two hour limit but our waiter took over 30 minutes to give us a check (after two waiters including him looked at us, smiled, and walked away...all while our glasses were empty and our plates were cleaned). The food was ok, I actually loved the quail and the duck (even though it was fatty). My fiancé paid an extra $10 for the chicken dish and to be honest, I can make that dish. It was so simple and boring. The view was nice but don't expect to see the Opera House and Bridge in full...they're blocked by tall buildings. It was nice to see Sydney from above but the service was terrible and the food (except for the Quail) was subpar. We were also rushed off of the elevator immediately once the elevator doors cracked just a little as we were told "come on!" So I wrote this review earlier and then accidentally deleted it so forgive me if it's a bit short. Booked for a birthday for a group of 8 and with a group over 5 you must leave $100 deposit. We went to the 5:30 sitting (out before 8:30, then there's an 8:30 session). We were there a bit early but had to wait until 5:30 on the dot. Catch the lift up and you are seated in one of two spots - tables near the window or benches a little higher. The restaurant spins very slowly to give you a 360 view of the restaurant. It is good for a gimmick - wonderful to experience once in your life. We got to see Sydney in day and as the sun set into night. We ordered drinks; beers, cocktails and wine (wine is quite expensive) and perused the menu. Some of us shared the antipasti platter for 2 which came with bread, bread sticks, mushrooms, olives, pickles and a lonely piece of manchego cheese which belittled my a mass of cured meat. I love cheese and it was a little disappointing that there wasn't more on the platter. My sister is a vegetarian, but there weren't many options; one entree and one main, therefore she had to go with that option; chickpea, eggplant and polenta. We asked the staff if they could do anything else and they said "honestly, no". This dish was ok. My brother got the pork and prawn crackers which was a nice dish. A few of the party got the seared tuna, that was well prepared, and a charcoal and aniseed flavour; beautifully plated. Typically the guys all went with steak all perfectly cooked, coming with a side of smooth creamy mash or crisp, seasoned fries. Although a little cold by the time they hit the table, which was common consensus. I ordered the brisket which was a nice flavour and a decent size. Another of the party ordered the duck atop sweet potato. Mum had the pork belly with a crispy skin. They enjoyed these dishes. For desserts, the star of the night was the chocolate sphere; when chocolate is poured over the top, cracking the chocolate, revealing the ice cream and mousse inside. Very clever! My parents had the desert platter which let them sample a variety of desserts - nicely presented. Overall a good food experience. I've been to many expensive restaurants in Sydney and this one is good, but I felt that even though the service was efficient, they were a little unpolished or inexperienced. The good: The views are truly spectacular. Several cities have similar revolving restaurants and bars, but the view from here across the Eastern suburbs and out to the ocean is among the best views I've ever seen. It's outstanding, but then again, that's kind of the point, right? The bad: I was here for a private event, so my experience may only be partially relevant. First, the appetizers were greasy and uninspiring, about what you would have at a mid-tier company holiday party. The drinks were decent, but the service was slow to serve, and even slower to clean up, which resulted in far too many empty glasses scattered about by the end of the night. Finally, because the revolving portion of the restaurant is basically a thin ring, standing room was tight, and it was difficult to carry on a conversation, with servers and guests constantly having to rearrange like pieces of a jigsaw. The bottom line: Just as is true at theme parks, airports, and corporate cafeterias, revolving restaurants can be forgiven for realizing that, when you have a captive audience, you have absolutely no incentive to deliver food,drinks, or service, beyond the basic requirements. 360 is a experience not to be missed in Sydney. I've now been to 360 a couple of times over the course of a few years, always with a large group (12 or more people). The first thing you notice when walking through the mall below, through security and sent shooting into the air in some private elevators is the magnificent view looking out over the city. The entire restaurant rotates slowly in a circle meaning wherever you are seated you will experience the entire view (including a great view of the opera house and harbour bridge). On our group long tables they are always mindful to place us in a way that everyone has a decent seat and view. It's the attention to details like this that I love. We usually opt for a 2-3 course meal with plenty of wine. The wine selection is quite nice, they also have a good range of cocktails on offer. Our group loved the pork belly as a main and either the kingfish with compressed watermelon for entrée or a tasty set of oysters. Vegetarians really only have one option for mains or entree which I don't think is acceptable (thus 4 stars) but those meals are ok. Service is lovely though for any groups over 8 people you do get stuck with a 8% service fee on top of your bill which seems a bit poor form. Expect to pay around $90 a head for a entree, main and a few glasses of wine. Great time and a lovely start to a Sydney weekend. read more

The entrance to the lift to go up is hard to find which was a disappointment in the beginning. Reasonable food. Set menu was a bit restrictive in the choices that was in the included price plus no vegetables were included but only a green leaf salad. The service was acceptable. To start with, possibly the most unfriendly and unwelcoming waitstaff I have ever encountered. I don't expect much from a buffet food wise, but the whole experience was vey underwhelming. We had preordered a drinks package and this was forgotten. We had to ask for service and remind them of this. We were literally showed to our seat and then the waitress walked away without asking if we would like a drink or even look at the drinks menu. We eventually received our drinks. Following this we lined up at the buffet, and was pushed through by a rude waitress not just once but twice! I don't care what restaurant your at, If staff are this rude, I would never recommend the place again. The only stars I am willing to give is the fact the view is the main reason you would go and it doesn't disappoint. So basically the food and experience is crap but the view is amazing. read more

This place was pretty darn cool. As everyone else has said YES AMAZING VIEW!! but the spinning was the fun part. If you went to the bathroom you kind of lost your barrings when you returned because your table would be elsewhere! ha, it was fun though. I had a pretty great time here. I must say that chocolate martinis are impossible to find in Sydney and nobody even knows what they are but after asking around nonstop, i found TOBLERONE's here. Toblerone is like the same thing as a chocolate martini but just called differently. I wasn't aware that they called it that until i read the drink menu and said HEY, that sounds just like one. Anyway, came here for dinner and had the scallops which were great. Then The beef fillet was amazing, and for dessert chocolate mousse. Take if from a vegetarian. You won't be disappointed if you like Italian. The view is spectacular of cos. You know it by now already. I went here for my 35th birthday this past year and I must say I was quite impressed with the views spanning Sydney Harbor and beyond. Having been to a revolving restaurant before 360 New Orleans WTC. I knew what to expect. The food was excellent and the drinks were up to American standards, being importing things to Australia makes it quite an expensive habit to enjoy a proper cocktail. After making a booking by phone Once we arrived we had to stand in line to get a ticket to get into the elevator. People in the line where making reservations for diner. Now we had booked the fine dining restaurant I don't expect to line up with a booking. Once we got our ticket we arrived and were seated. The views are amazing the food was good but not great. The gluten free options where limited with no gluten free bread. As an experience I would say do it as a fine dining experience there are better options for the price. read more
