I live about 10 minutes from Dr. Fields office. The comments regarding your obvious friendship with Dr. Fields have nothing to do with him or his practice. Granted, I do believe the staff is important. In the few times I was at Dr. Fields, the last time being about a year ago. I found his staff to be okay. My room mate went to him for a period of time and she found him to be harsh, not at all gentle, and not the least bit sensitive to her pain. What bothered her the most was when she'd tell him she was in pain during a procedure, he'd blow it off and tell her she wasn't in pain. She didn't have dental insurance and always paid cash. Better than using her credit card and paying interest. Anyway, my room mate moved and when I was forced to see a dentist because of a toothache, I did see Dr. Fields. When I scheduled the appointment, I told the receptionist I'd pay cash. I was in great pain and in obvious need of relief. I was nervous because of all my room mate went through, but the pain was horrible and the only dentist that would take me asap . He did make fun of my lack of dental upkeep. I didn't and still do not have dental insurance and that's because I cannot afford it. Sometimes I can hardly make rent and work full time. Dr. Fields was painful, not caring to my situation. He was easily distracted by the many people who work in the back. I do not think a dentist should carry a cell on them while drilling on a patient. That too was a distraction. An older, blonde woman kept coming in and out, walking by, or he would get up and leave often and take 5, sometimes 10 minutes to return. I'm now thinking it was his wife or girlfriend. That was obvious and unprofessional. All this time, I could hear them in the hallway discussing if they could sell me a dental plan. I waited for the Dr. to finish up with my cavity and wanted to get out of there. The blonde woman was over bearing and did push the insurance on me while I was in pain, and that made me so mad. She gave me attitude, looked at me like I was weird, and kept looking at the Dr. and nurse and then would look at me. Very badexperience. I did go through friends who have a dentist in Calabasas that I go to. Yes, it's quite a ways from Studio City, but worth it. I told him my experience with Dr. Fields and he was professional and did not bash Dr. Fields. But... I did need a root canal. I used my savings and that's okay. It was for a rainy day. The only reason I even responded to this was my old room mate told me about it. I couldn't believe how this woman who is an obvious friend of the Dr. gave him a rave review. Amazing experience from beginning to end; top notch. STAFF: The staff is incredibly friendly and they make you feel welcome the moment you enter the office. Everyone always has a friendly smile on their face which makes a huge difference for me because I've always hated going to the dentist. It has made me anxious in the past, so seeing the office run by a team of competent individuals who seem to love what they do and are always in a positive mood makes me feel at ease. DENTAL PROCEDURES: As for the procedures, I think they did a wonderful job. I got 2 root canals done and Dr. Parham did a wonderful job. I cannot believe they made a root canal procedure actually pleasant. That's incredible. I didn't feel any pain (other than the first needle they give you, but there's nothing anybody can do about that), other than that, I felt no pain; Dr. Parham was gentle and competent throughout the procedure. He did such a wonderful job. He constantly reassured me because he knew I was nervous and they played Netflix so I could take my mind off of what was happening. If you need a root canal, this is the place to get it done. At a separate appointment I got my permanent crowns installed; the dental nurses and Dr. Tadrous did a wonderful job and I just LOVE how my crowns look! They look so real and legit and it feels great to finally get this procedure done. PARKING: There is meter parking on the street beside the office. I really don't mind paying a few quarters every time I go. I carry a bag filled with quarters in my car if I ever need them. I love this dental office so paying a few quarters is such a small price to pay and I haven't had issues finding parking. There is usually a few spots open every time I go. I've gone in the morning and in the afternoon. And if the appointment drags on longer than it should, the staff adds a few quarters to make sure your car is okay. They are very attentive and make sure that your car has enough time on the meter so you don't get any kind of ticket. INSURANCE: They have a great subscription plan for those who don't have insurance (like me). It's a small fee every month but you get 20% off of big procedures and other stuff is included like x-rays, cleanings, etc. throughout the year. It was SO helpful in paying off the root canal, crowns, etc. and all of this other stuff I needed. They also partner with Cherry. If you aren't familiar with Cherry, it allows you to break up big payments into a 12-month payment plan with no interest. Super awesome. Very helpful to pay off all of the stuff I needed. OVERALL: You know, I've always hated going to the dentist and it looks like those days are behind me. I found a dental office that I love and I highly recommend. read more

I can't say enough great things about this dentist's office. From the moment you walk in, the entire staff is incredibly kind and friendly, which instantly makes the experience feel calm and welcoming. They truly go out of their way to make the dentist's office a lot less anxiety-filled--and that alone deserves major credit. Dr. Danoukh is AMAZING. He has extensive experience, but what really stands out is how friendly, approachable, and honest he is. He takes the time to actually listen and explain things clearly, which makes you feel confident and cared for as a patient. At my most recent visit, we talked about how I clench my jaw at night and the headaches it's been causing. Dr. Danoukh recommended trying TMJ Botox injections. I'll admit, I was nervous and expected it to hurt--but wow. He has the softest touch ever. I didn't even feel the needle go in, and before I knew it, it was over. Within a few days, I noticed a huge difference: significantly less clenching and my headaches completely disappeared. Dr. Danoukh is by far the best dentist I've been to, and I've been to a lot! Not only is the staff wonderful and always with a smile (showing off their beautiful teeth he perfected), they tend to my every need. I am very particular and need to know every step that is being taken to fix my teeth and Dr. Danoukh walks me through each step. He's very patient with me which I appreciate. I had braces when I was younger and the dentist did not fix my teeth. My teeth were always pretty straight, but I had a cross bite. After I took off my braces my teeth went back almost immediately even while wearing my retainers. I finally decided to try Invisalign and I cannot be happier. It's not painful as everyone describes and easy to use. He used some of my insurance and allows me to make payments, so You don't have to cough up all the money at once, again he's flexible!!! I'm 23 years old, it's very manageable for anyone to use. Please do yourself a favor and stop wasting your time and money with other dentists and go to Dr. Danoukh. The office staff is very kind, and sufficient in work and you start you dental appointments on time! My dental hygienist was Sonya, she worked on my teeth and she was extremely thorough and patient in explaining the questions I had. My cleaning looks phenomenal. The dentist himself is very quick with reading X-rays results and coming up with a cost efficient and effect dental plan that works best for the patients immediate needs; I appreciated this. I was using Dr. Fields since 2004... At first I was happy since he is acting super friendly and giving you nice smile! He acts that he cares about you and entire his team is nice..... Now after I lost 3 teeth, I found out it was all his fault which he order cheap and NOT FITED crowns. Now I know the wrong and not fitted crown with cheap materials may ended up to get infection to your gum and I had to do gum surgery.... such a pain! And Sorry you need to change and update your old chairs and X-ray room... Doesn't look CLEAN at all! read more
