A Big Thank You to 360 Fitness! 8 months before joining 360 Fitness I had bariatric surgery; with surgery I was able to lose 70lbs and then the weight loss stopped. I knew I had to do something different in order to continue losing weight. So, with my sister's encouragement, I made an appointment to check out 360 Fitness. In the beginning, I was a bit intimidated. Discussing my weight & physical fitness goals with a stranger was difficult, plus I was afraid I would not be able to do the exercises, thus embarrassing myself. During my orientation and first workout, Andrew Ravenhill (personal trainer extraordinaire) was genuinely friendly and actively listened, which put me at ease. Andrew set me up with a customized eating plan and training schedule. It's been about 9 month since I joined 360 Fitness; not only have I lost an additional 40+lbs, but I have gained strength, flexibility, and confidence. I have been a member for over 2 years. I joined at first because the location was convenient and I wanted a place to work out that offered professional level equipment (easier on my joints). I didn't plan on getting into personal training at all, but after the initial consultation I thought I would give it a try. With the exception of about 6 weeks after the birth of my third child, I have stuck with twice a week personal training for the past two years. The consistent guidance of Andrew, and more recently Mike C. have helped me to reshape my body into a leaner version. I like that I can show up and have the variety and challenge built in to my appointment. I have learned over time that if I just do what they are telling me to, the changes I am looking for will happen. The trainers are reliable and generally very willing to work with a busy schedule. In terms of areas of improvement, I would prefer to have the option to take group classes where it train. I get enough exercise in at this time without them, but the variety would be nice. Since I joined the focus has shifted from being a more all around gym with many class options to primarily group interval training classes. read more

I've been at 360 Fitness for 3 years now and have gotten rid of a lot of pounds and inches with the help of personal trainers. I look and feel way better than I did when I started and with the knowledge I acquired from my trainers I continue to succeed on my journey. I started taking HEAT program classes recently including spin, Xfit, and Russian Kettlebell Training and the classes are definitely working. I've seen a lot of renovations lately and all for the better I must say. They have incorporated a lot of new equipment into the gym so you have no excuse not to get the job done if you like free weights, kettlebells, weight machines or those for cardio. The décor is modern and the staff is courteous, professional, and most importantly they are knowledgeable about how to get you the results you need. Michael, co-owner and trainer, taught me everything I know about fitness and nutrition, ultimately inspiring me to become a trainer, gym owner, and health writer myself. stopped in Tyler for a one night stay to visit a friend on my way to San Antonio and mentioned to my friend that I hated to miss a workout while on the road and be suggested 360... I headed down before I got back on the road the next morning and walked in and was greeted by a friendly staff and the manager or maybe he was the owner not sure which he gave me a personal tour of the facility and gave me tons of information about the gym. 360 had pretty much everything I used at my home gym and a little more (kinda disappointed with my own gym now) I got a good 1 and a half hour workout in plus great shower facilities on site. I was also able to purchase a post workout shake. love this place even bought the shirt! I will definitely stop back in when I'm in town next time. read more

I started at 360 two and a half years ago. I joined because it was close to my office. But two years later, I've stayed because of their amazing trainers and staff! Everyone knows me by name and is so friendly and helpful. They've made a lot of upgrades, too! In January 2014, I started personal training with Andrew Ravenhill, and I have lost 63 pounds and gained a lot of muscle mass! He gives personalized nutrition advice and is obviously knowledgeable about both working out and nutrition. He focuses on proper form in all movements and is concerned with each client's safety. I love the gym. It's not so large that it's overwhelming, but there is plenty of room so that you don't feel like you are right on top of others. I loved the Zumba class when I was able to go. I really wish that there was some type of fitness class between 1:30 and 4:00. I go to work at 5 every morning and have to pick up my daughter in the evenings so there are no classes that I can go to. I joined in July. I was skeptic at first, being a bigger guy, out of shape I wanted something not so busy and packed when I went in. And 360 Fitness is perfect for that, it is a smaller gym and anytime of the day you go you are not waiting forever for a machine or equipment which is awesome. Positive atmosphere and friendly staff. Best place in town for those that really desire to make a lifestyle change because the staff is highly qualified and supportive. Open 24 hours and it's never super crowded by design. The owners care more about quality and helping their members achieve results than quantity and having the most members. It smells nice too.
