I had the opportunity to speak with Kiesha (Kie), who spent time explaining to me their COVID protocol (my inquiry) and experience. I scheduled my pre and post op visits from hip replacement with Kie and am incredibly grateful. She was very competent. She knew when to be gentle and listen to my requests and when i needed a little nudging. Building strength and flexibility after hip replacement was not an easy task, but with Kie on my side, I knew I would get back to baseline. I am most grateful for the care I received from Kie. I am also appreciative of all staff there who always greeted me with a kind hello and took care of my scheduling needs. If I ever need physical therapy again, I will most definitely go back to Forever Fit in Burtonsville. Thanks to all of you! Jean P.

I was bounced between different therapists, none of whom coordinated with each other or took responsibility for my care. For example, I would have wildly different exercises depending on who I saw and my at home exercises were never updated, despite making multiple requests. I unfortunately have a lot of experience receiving physical therapy for this injury and I made substantially less progress here than at other firms. In addition, despite booking out my appointments weeks in advance, the times and therapists were constantly changed at the last minute with zero notice, seemingly to accommodate new patients or just so the therapists could go home early. I never knew who I was going to see or what time my appointment would be until I got the reminder the night before or even that same day. This total lack of consideration for my schedule and time showed that they did not value me as a patient and I would never return or recommend their services.

I asked only for this service, and filled out the electronic paperwork at the kiosk for this single service. Once I got into the office, I told the practitioner on duty at the time, Kristen McGaha, that I was only looking for cholesterol check. But practitioner Kristen McGaha proceeded to first check my blood pressure, measure my waist, asked for my height and weight (she didn't take the measurements). Then she gave me a cholesterol test. She asked if I wanted a flu shot, and I consented to this extra service. After completed, she gave me the paperwork and the results of my cholesterol test. After I went home, I saw that I was charged for the cholesterol test ($37.00, coded as 80061).And I was charged for the vaccination ($26.00 coded as 90471 and $24.00 coded as 90674) -- I assume the two charges were both needed, but it its unclear. The services that I absolutely did not ask for were preventive medicine counseling ($69.00, coded as 99402) and blood glucose check ($25.00, coded as 82947). I went back to the store when I realized the extra charges, about two hours later on the same day, to speak with practitioner Kristen McGaha to ask her about the extra charges. She first said that they were mandatory. I said the CVS website says nothing about this service being mandatory. Kristen McGaha then said I had given electronic consent. I asked her to show me, and she printed out the consent form and tried to point out that the "I here by authorize" language was consent for all of the scope of services listed which included a list of services such as "treatment of minor abrasions and skin conditions" "diagnosis and treatment for common illnesses such as strep throat and ear, eye, sinus, bladder and bronchial infections". (Clearly this is a list of services offered, not mandatory services that I had to consent to pay for whether I asked for them or not.) Once I showed her that the language does not say that, Kristen McGaha pivoted and said that my insurance would pay for the services. I understood her words to imply that I shouldn't worry about it because insurance is paying for it. But, in my mind, that's wrong. It is incumbent on me to keep my insurance from paying for unnecessary services. I left, and Kristen McGaha, in my view, seemed irritated that I was making an issue about something I wasn't paying for. I then called CVS helpline 1.866.389.2727 to get redress. Of course, I was told that there was nothing that could be done, because I actually had the medical services completed. I insisted on getting this issue escalated. I was promised a return call within three business days. I am not holding my breath for a response. I am writing about my experience because I think people should be forewarned to watch how easily a CVS medical service can be slipped in to the process. And that these unasked for service could cost you, or your insurance company, extra.

They confirm with you when you are leaving the facility then decide to switch up appointment times on you. It's a 3 hour drive from Philly so I can't just get in the car and go. The most recent appointment I had I missed for this reason- they changed the time on me from 2pm to 930am which would've meant I'd had to leave like 6am in rush hour traffic to make it on time. Luckily I was told I didn't need to go in for the 3 month post op unless I had questions or concerns about the surgery. They need to do better with keeping the appointments and sizing the garments before people leave so they aren't stuck with something that doesn't fit. After paying 10k plus- the customer service should be better than what it is.

From the very beginning of my journey especially after making my initial appointment and almost giving up completely on the practice due to communication concerns that I had experienced, Michael Casanova reached out to me regarding those communication concerns and after speaking with him he walked me through every step of the pre-surgery clearance process up until my clearance approval with Dr. Kumer for an upcoming bbl with Lipo 360 and 4 additional Lipo area's. He was extremely kind, patient, and genuinely helpful. No matter how many questions I had -- and I had plenty -- he always took the time to answer each one thoroughly. What stood out the most was that he was always available; he consistently answered his phone and made sure I felt supported and informed throughout the entire process. Michael truly made a difference in my experience, and I think it's important that the practice knows what a valuable team member they have. Thank you, Michael, for going above and beyond! His attention to detail is remarkable, he takes the time to do thorough evaluations and makes sure every step of the treatment plan is done properly. This is my second course of physical therapy with him. The first time was very successful, and for the second round I was so committed to having Carmelo as my therapist again that I waited a month just to make sure I could work with him. That alone says a lot about the quality of care he provides. As a healthcare provider myself, I can recognize the difference between average and truly exceptional care. Carmelo absolutely delivers high-quality, patient-focused therapy. If you're looking for someone who genuinely cares about your progress and well-being, I highly recommend him. Lastly, I can say all of the physical therapy technicians here are also professional, kind, and always supportive, which makes the entire experience smooth and encouraging.

If you need to reach someone whether for a minor concern or something urgent you're better off heading straight to the emergency room. After my nerve block wore off, I was in significant pain. I called and messaged through their Klara system multiple times with no response all day. Eventually, I received a generic message saying I was "fine," without anyone actually speaking to me. I ended up going to the ER, where they discovered additional bone separation in my shoulder that explained the worsening pain. Ironically, the staff at the surgery center who weren't even responsible for my follow-up care were far more helpful. They answered calls and offered advice to manage my pain, something this office failed to do. At my follow-up appointment, I was told I'd be prescribed medication. When I left, no one mentioned how or when I'd receive it. I called to ask if I could pick it up on my way home no answer, no callback. I tried again an hour later. Still nothing. No text, no voicemail, no help. If you're looking for a place that performs a procedure and then disappears, this is it. But if you expect any kind of post-operative care or basic communication, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
