After shopping at Food Basics, I spotted the garden centre at this Home Depot next door. I immediately drove over to park in front of it and walk in. There was lots of parking. There were also plenty of shopping carts. I enjoyed looking at all plants, cactuses, and more. There was soil and fertilizer galore. It's a decent garden section with plenty of selection. I had to use the washroom. It's sort of set up the same way as the Home Depot that I frequent in Markham. Washrooms are to the right of the entrance. The women's washroom was clean. I looked at fans and central air conditions units. They were effective standing in front of them to cool down. They were also reasonably priced. My dad recently bought Ortho Ant Bgon Max spray. He had ants coming into the kitchen and even the front door as if they were a part of the family. I have noticed that there haven't been any ants since he used this spray. It works! I liked coming here to look at plants. I don't need any for now, but it's nice knowing that this Home Depot has a decent garden centre. (259)

Everything that was said & the beautiful pictures on their website were very impressive. I called Terry & asked for an estimate. He came out, quoted an amount, said he'd email me a written estimate, I said okay but foolishly went ahead with the work, having never received the written & signed estimate. Terry & his employer showed up, did a little work & then proceeded to look at each other, determining on the spot how much that day's work would be & telling me to etransfer the money to him while he waited. He said he doesn't accept payment by credit card. I thought that was strange; I've never known a business not to accept payment by credit card. But, foolishly, I went along with it but told him I would etransfer the money later, which I did. The work I needed done took a few days. Sometimes Terry & his employee wouldn't show up on time & didn't even have the courtesy to call that they were going to be late. Every time they came, the payment scenario was the same. Terry & emplayer looked at each other & came up with an amount that I was to etransfer right away. Terry always sat while his employee did all the work. The fence post Terry replaced ended up being an old used post, cracked with cement dried all over the bottom. The cost for this old piece of post was $350. i have pictures to back up everything I'm saying. Long story short, here it is 9 months later & the flashing he replaced & the reroofing over our deck are leaking along with other work he did that is failing. I have phoned him (he never answers); sent several emails, text messages; tried to contact him via his "contact us" website., etc., and he has yet to reply to honour his 3-year warranty. i literally had to beg for my final invoice to show I paid in full & I only got that because I hadn't yet etransferred the final amount owing. i also asked for a discount on the used fence post & he said he'd give it to me if I promised I wouldn't do a Google or Better Business Bureau review because he didn't want a bad review to ruin his business. I agreed for the little discount he gave me. I held up my end of the bargain & have given him every chance to honour the warranty but he is just ignoring me. As such, I decided that , too, no longer have to withhold my negative experience & interaction with Canada Fence & Terry & feel the public must know that they are taking a chance with this company. I thought, at the start, that Terry was honourable & someone I could trust, but he has proven otherwise. Please be cautious. It's scary when you can't trust the reviews you read or the websites you see. I would NEVER recommend Canada Fence or Terry.
