We are looking to do a new railing around opur back porch and down the steps. They are all brick so I was a little uncertain to the process. Stacy walked me though the Fortress catalog and helped me select everything I need for the job. I cannot overstate how helpful she was. Now, I just have to save up the funds to do the job. :-) I am aware of the other review and that seems like a really unfortunate experience. For me... I Highly recommend these folks.

I told the salesman that we wanted to order cedar siding to install on this trip. I made it clear that we were coming from out of town and would only have two weeks to install the siding. He told me several times that he recommends fiber cement siding. I told him I was doing the job with my wife and the weight and breakage worried me, that we would stick to cedar. He asked me what we had on the house, I told him cedar. He said he would go by our house and look at what we had and get back to me. I had just told him cedar and he thinks I'm not smart enough to know what we have. I sent him our sq ft requiements and size of cedar siding I wanted and told him when we would be there and I needed the siding then. So I figured he had ordered our siding. I text him a week before we arrived to make sure the siding would be there. He had no clue as to who I was. I had to remind him of our conversation and then it was "oh yeah, now I remember". I asked about the siding. He said he would really recommend the fiber cement. I asked if he had ordered our siding. He text that he was going on vacation, I needed to call John, (not real name). I called several times, no answer. Text, no response. I tried to contact both of these guys multiple times, got nowhere. We already had our plane tickets, sheltered our dog, took two weeks off from work, rented a car and made plans with family, friends and grand daughters, etc. So we are into this trip for about $2000.00 before we get there to install siding. Got to the building center and our siding was not there but they could order it. Luckily, Home Depot had cedar siding in stock so it wasn't a wasted trip. I don't think I will ever do business with these clowns. They wouldn't listen to what I wanted. They didn't order our materials. They didn't care about what we wanted. Sounds to me like they are on commission so the more they sell you, the more they make.

He is a low ky kinda guy but knowledgeable and helpful. When buying lumber, they give you the time to go through the inventory and find good quality pieces. And, they have a wide variety of products. I bought a number of items there. among them there was - 1…read moreitem off the floor it wasn't delivered on schedule no biggie - 1 entry door with transom ($500) - 1 custom window $1,200. The style of the door and the transom didn't match, I called and was told "that's what you ordered" . Really I asked for mismatched styles? For the window I had ordered the lightest clearest low-e glass available, I got the dark type of glass that's recommended for Fla, Nm, Az etc. " That's what you ordered" was the response again. They don't even bother to ask what was shipped or what you ordered, they don't want to know because CYA is the order of the day. Then when you go over your buyer's order you realize that regardless of the conversation you had with their salesperson the printed order is so vague that they could ship you anything at all and claim that's what you ordered. My contractor bought my siding there, it's an off-brand and the quality doesn't impress. Really shoddy practices I ordered the rest of the windows ( Andersen) from The Plywood Mart although they won't match these and they were more expensive, that shows how I feel about sponsoring this store again

I went in the other day to purchase a hole saw and arbor that I needed for a job. True Value did not have the size I needed (pretty typical, as their inventory seems to be perpetually low). So I bought the next size down, thinking I might make it work. $50. As it turned out, I never used it. Never opened it or even took it out of the truck. Went back to return the items today and got $40 back. I was told there was a 20% restocking fee on all returned items. $10 charge for something that would take 10 seconds to put back on the shelf. I never heard of such a thing. Complete rip off. They will not get another cent from me.

The kids climbed a huge…read moretree house ~ safely enclosed in a fenced playground ~ with slides, ladders, and a tire swing. Then they panned for gemstones. And after that, they went on an animal tour with cute and fun animals. The staff was super friendly, there was plenty of shade, and there were carvings and woodworking for the adults to enjoy. Great venue!!
