I went in the other day to purchase a hole saw and arbor that I needed for a job. True Value did not have the size I needed (pretty typical, as their inventory seems to be perpetually low). So I bought the next size down, thinking I might make it work. $50. As it turned out, I never used it. Never opened it or even took it out of the truck. Went back to return the items today and got $40 back. I was told there was a 20% restocking fee on all returned items. $10 charge for something that would take 10 seconds to put back on the shelf. I never heard of such a thing. Complete rip off. They will not get another cent from me.

The guy that told us the owner would be there the next day all of a sudden he didn't know who the owner was, and told us to talk to somebody else, Dale. Upon talking to Dale, he told us they didn't know anything and we should talk to the black guy in the building. Dale told us that they didn't sell bad compost. It was a personal problem. Mind you the person using the compost is a master gardener. I would also like to point out that we have been a loyal, consistent customer for the past nine years.

I ordered 14yds of fill dirt and they delivered approx 8yds of dirt. When the driver was questioned about the amount of dirt he confirmed that it was about 8yds. We contacted the business and they refused to make it right. I had another professional contractor come out to look at it and he also verified it was not 14yds. If you have any landscaping work being done and are in need of soil, dirt or rock I would encourage your contractors to go elsewhere so that you don't get charged for product you don't get.
