Hylah is his family's wealth manager. On our visit, she gave us great advice. Getting to Davenport & Company was a bit confusing. It's located on the eleventh floor of the James Center building. You can park in their parking lot and get your ticket validated for free parking. We had to walk some to get to the elevators. A certain set of elevators go to higher floors and another set go to lower floors. The electronic elevator floor caller wasn't very user friendly, but this is a James Center design, not Davenport & Company's. The waiting room was very comfortable. We were offered a variety of drinks (water, sodas, and coffee). We waited for about 5 minutes before being called into Hylah's beautiful office. It had a lovely view of the city and the James river. She helped us with the best savings/investing plans for our future and gave us some stock recommendations. I loved how transparent and honest she was with us. She didn't sugarcoat anything when pointing out pricing on things. I'd highly recommend working with her if you're looking to work with Davenport & Company.

While these points are written into our contract as expectations, I feel as though Foster goes over and beyond with the highest levels of professionalism and attention. I was skeptical at first that there may have been some sort of "kick back" for referrals they give, but our contract with them clearly states that they accept nothing in exchange for their referrals,and at any point we can always select our own vendors outside of their recommendations; the irony is - their recommendations have actually outperformed our own previous selections!
