All style, no substance. On a daytrip to the Quad Cities, I made a list of places for Emily and I to visit. After pouring over all the possibilities, we settled on getting 392 for our caffeinated needs. We pulled up to a bunch of sidewalk construction but were lucky to find our way inside. Once inside, we were greeted to a really loud, really vibrant coffeehouse. Nay, I wouldn't call this a coffeehouse. It felt more like a jungle gym. The place felt upscale, bougie, and a bit pretentious. We walked up and were greeted by some friendly, if not standoffish, baristas. Emily knew what she wanted beforehand but once she got there, she tried ordering a cold brew with some flavor shots to it. The barista seemed confused and told her she should just order a different item (a blended drink) if that's what she wants. Well, they finally worked it out and Emily got what she wanted. I got my usual iced americano with no troubles. The place was busy not with just kids but there was a business meeting going on. The place was very loud and reminded me of Zion Coffee Bar. Stark white walls with sounds bouncing around. Luckily, Emily and I were making plans to dip out and explore the city with our coffees in hand so we weren't subjected to the volume for too long. The wait time wasn't too long for our coffees with how busy the place was. We waited maybe 10 minutes for our drinks and were very happy to make our way on to the next destination. Maybe we are getting older and hate sound but it's not a place we could've sat and enjoyed a quiet conversation or relaxed to a nice book. As we left, we tried our drinks, and I knew instantly my drink was a bust. The americano was an off-light brown color when it should've been a deep brown. It tasted... off. Emily hates my americanos but she took a willing sip and said that my drink was messed up and couldn't place it either. It's like they used only one shot of espresso for the size; it was too diluted, too not-espresso-y tasting. Emily really enjoyed her cold brew, and we made plans to get coffee somewhere else later in the day to make up for it. I can't say I recommend this particular 392 location due to the weird vibe amongst the baristas and awful Americano/espresso. Maybe it was an off day or maybe that's just how it is. The change from your typical coffeehouse was a nice change of pace, though! I don't get up to the Quad Cities too often but would be willing to try one of their other locations after I make my way through all the other coffeehouses first. read more

I'm giving 392Caffe the benefit of the doubt here with an extra star, even if our coffee was truly a two-star experience. I like the vibe of this place, trendy and "edgy." But to me, you have to follow-up a fun space with a good product, which is unfortunately not what we got the last time we visited. First of all, we walked in on a sunny Sunday morning and it felt like a sauna in there. We weren't planning on staying to eat, but even if we had, the heat would have turned us away. Anyway, we waited in a decent line and put in our to-go orders. Here's where the shoe dropped, both of our coffees were SO SO SO SWEET. Sweeter than anything I've ever ordered at a Scooters (ew) or Dunkin' (also, ew.) My lavender latte was so sweet that it made me pucker with every sip. I have never waisted coffee in my life, especially not a $7+ specialty drink... but that guy went to the trash about 4 sips in. I will give this place another try, maybe it was just the fact that it was busy and hot in there and the baristas were a little flustered. Hopefully next time I'll be able to taste the actual coffee in my coffee drink. read more

For what it is, this is absolutely a 5 star! It's not the BEST food ever, but the grilled cheese was really good, and the brownie was perfect. The prices were phenomenal too - we paid like $14 total for a big grilled cheese and a brownie, and that's including tip. The grilled cheese was big too, and might even feed 2 people. Definitely worth checking out for a light meal. There's also plenty of free street parking right nearby too. read more

Customer service at this location has always been great. The employees at the counter are helpful and patient, so if your indecisive dont be too worried. The autumn chai is one of my favorite drinks. I get it hot with oat milk. It has just the right amount of squash, spices, and earthy flavors. If you enjoy espresso try a dopio neat. I highly recommend getting yourself the tea here. Brewed nicely and they give quite a large serving cup worth for a really reasonable price. The girl who assisted me was cheerful and knowledgeable about the teas. It was also a plus that she actually tries the items on the menu of where she works. They have a super large establishment. Not sure about wifi but if you need a place to hang out or take care of some business on your laptop, I'd recommend coming here. read more

I was happy to find this little specialty coffee cafe while passing through Davenport. I ordered a single origin cortado and was pleased with the quality. They have a big menu with a focus on espresso drinks. They also have Frappes and other fun drinks you wouldn't normally see in a small cafe. There is hot food available as well. Ordered a breakfast burrito. Bacon, eggs, and chorizo. And being of brown lineage, that was not chorizo. I firmly believe it was hamburger meat with no seasoning. This was so bland. To save it, I cut it open, added some salt and pepper and opted to drown it in hot sauce. Chorizo and bacon should be good by themselves, 2/5 will not eat this ever again. Love this place on a weekend morning! First off, I love their lattes! They have a lot of unique flavors but salted caramel is my absolute favorite, most places don't capture the salted element well. Their lattes can be very sweet but they allow you to order anything 1/2 or 1/4 sweet so just order to your preference. As for food, nothing I've tried has missed! I LOVE the breakfast burrito + add chorizo, but I've had multiple of the breakfast sandwiches as well and the garlic aioli is perfection. Personally I do feel this place is a little pricey for fast casual breakfast, HOWEVER the quality of the food is 2nd to none so I am okay splurging every now and then. All of the sandwiches and the burrito are good portions and don't skimp in the extras like avocado in the burrito, having greens in the sandwich, etc. My only other hang up here is it is just really not a quick option. I've waited inside when ordering food, so I tried using the app a couple times to do drive thru. It just still takes 20 minutes before food is ready when ordering on the app and I just typically don't plan that far in advance for a quick drive thru breakfast. Everything is made to order though so I do get it, just not a great option if you are in a hurry. read more

Wow. Extremely delicious. We had the breakfast burrito and that was great. But then I tried the breakfast sandwhich called "breakfast" and holy moly. Absolutely DELICIOUS! I am also a coffee snob and most local coffee I don't love. This was absolutely phenomenal. I ordered a latte with vanilla and Carmel and I can't believe how incredible the flavors are. This place is ADORABLE! I could totally see setting up shop and doing work here if I lived in the city. But I was just visiting for work, and I love checking out local spots. I ordered a latte, the brunch breakfast sandwich, and a power puck. The latte was awesome: they had so many creative seasonal flavors, lots of milk options, it was perfectly warm but not burning hot, and the flavor was on point. The breakfast sandwich packs SO much flavor! Totally recommend, its a full meal for sure. And the power puck is awesome: a slightly sweet and healthy treat. Preface, we are not locals and happen to stumble upon this place out of shear dumb luck. When we first walked in, we thought, oh boy, one of those "hipster" coffee joints. Boy were we wrong! The service was friendly, the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. Now, on to the really good stuff, we got the breakfast burrito and the breakfast sand called "brunch", they were both soooo delicious. And the prices were very reasonable. Maybe we are used to paying $15 for a plain egg and ham breakfast sandwich in California, but the food here is anything but plain. There are sauces in there that will pop off in your mouth. I got a latte, and even though is a simple drink, the coffee was sooo smooth I couldn't stop drinking it, so good. The food is good but a price point that is a little high for me personally. However not overpriced in comparison to all other places. The coffee is good quality as well. However the pink colors attract a certain class of people. Which I perceive partially as pretentiousness. Middle aged ladies with not-picky voices that scream Im judging everybody I see harshly. Maybe that's not true but I've been here several times and it's a really decent experience or not really at all. Keep in mind personality and colors, atmosphere might play a part. read more

This is definitely the best coffee/sandwich shop in the QC in terms of taste and choice! I absolutely love coffee shops that have a variety of drinks and breakfast/lunch sandwiches. I've tried their "Brunch" breakfast sandwich and the "Lunch" and "Cubano" lunch sandwiches... all were delicious. I also tried the "Miel" latte and it was amazing. Some other reviews mentioned long wait times, but I found that was not an issue during my first visit. The second two times that I ordered from here, I used their online ordering platforms. I found that there was some difficulty with using the 392GO app. The first time I downloaded it, the "order" page never loaded and I had to order on the website instead. The second time, I tried to use the app again, but found that it was slow and kept getting stuck on the "order" tab. I resolved to call, but the voicemail said to use this number as a text message. I texted and was then directed back to the app. Nonetheless, I ordered from the web page. My food was delicious and was ready in time. I only write this to provide some constructive feedback on the app, since I would really like it to be more efficient for future use :). I know that other reviews either praise or dislike the loud music. I absolutely see the vision for that, but I wonder if maybe some carpeting or less "industrial" architecture may muffle some of the echoing from the music. This would assist your hard of hearing patrons and overall improve ease of conversation. But again, I would totally recommend this place to others. read more
