No wonder I felt lousy, my testosterone was zero, my B12 & B 's very low, Vit D low, stress very high, achey & starving all of the time, hypoglycemia & hypertension due to the stress, etc. She took an entire hour to review my whole health picture. I have a Gyne, Family practice physician, and an Endocrinologist who could not make the positive impact on my health that Dr. Tais has made. She is amazing and I couldn't recommend her more. I also appreciate that she doesn't high pressure ANYTHING or make you feel like a used car lot. She recommends high quality supplements, and you can buy them wherever you want to. But they really work..... I feel 100% better, thanks to her in-depth assessment and that she actually looks at the whole person. Yes she is a bit pricey, but your health is your wealth so we have to prioritize our health, and she is worth it. Thank you Dr. Tais and team!!

Dr.Tais is the first naturopathic physician to treat me. I scoured the websites looking for a…read morenaturopath in the Fresno area, with the understanding my insurance would not cover any of my treatments with any such doctor. I had been quite ill for about three years and became frustrated with all of the poking and prodding ( 3 surgeries, and 1 year of physical therapy) my primary and all 14 specialists were asking me to endure. My labs, tests, cat-scans, MRI's and surgical findings always came up "inconclusive" or just "slightly off/out of range", no real definitive answer or name for why I felt so awful and my body was morphing into someone I no longer recognized. After the last major surgery I was desperate to feel well again and deteriorating quickly, with no faith in the physicians and surgeons caring for me. My primary said I was just a sensitive woman and indicated I may just have anxiety issues. Enough was enough, I took a leap of faith and emailed Dr. Tais who kindly responded and answered my questions about billing, payments , labs, and tests before scheduling a first visit via email. She let me know I was welcome to telephone with any other questions. I did telephone and she called me back, I was a little surprised at first because rarely does the actual provider speak to you on the phone themselves. Upon our first visit I found Dr. Tais to be kind, caring, patient, and a very good listener. She ordered a few labs, requested all of my records from my previous 14 specialists and primary care doctor and said she'd phone when results came in. In ONE VISIT and ONE ROUND OF LABS she chose to order she found the culprits of my rapidly declining health!! ONE VISIT !!!!! I was relieved and upset all at once, I wasn't crazy after all and SHE found out what was wrong in ONE VISIT!!! One of my first questions after wrapping my head around the treatment and the fact that I absolutely knew something was wrong with my health was..... "Did my previous panel of physicians miss this key indicator in my many rounds of labs with them?" Yes , they did!! It was right there in the labs that they forwarded to her themselves in black and white. It has taken everything in me to not go back in to every one of their offices and point out on their labs and her labs the egregious oversight that robbed me of 3 years of my life!! The doctors that my insurance would cover visits for wasted my time, resources, ordered time away from work, and missed my children's many milestones (years of my life) because they overlooked their own orders and labs. I am not a wealthy person and have paid a few thousands of dollars over the past three years trying to resolve my health issues. Had I only known about Dr. Tais and her practice I would have spared the three years of damage to my body, and had a much healthier and larger savings account. She is now the only doctor I trust, I chose to continue with her practice even after pinpointing the root cause of all of my many symptoms and am now a loyal and lifelong patient. I am feeling so much better now and we are working to fine tune the treatments to get me back to optimal health!!! The follow up visits (much less than the initial setup appointment) aren't too much more expensive than my regular copays with my health insurance and my husband agrees that Dr.Tais is worth every penny!!!

At times, and most likely on first introduction, Dr. Vanam may present as reasonably personable,…read moreprofessional and efficient. I would encourage potential patients not to let themselves be misled by the small act of Kabuki theater she performs so unctuously, smiling insincerely, on introducing herself to new patients. If Dr. Vanam takes you on as a patient and your experience with her is like mine, you will see her maybe twice a year, at the mandated annual wellness visits, perhaps, when she will ask you why you are there (as if it were not mandatory and pressed upon you) and what you want to do about your health. She will make you feel as though it is your responsibility to come up with whatever you need medically, no matter how serious or complex your particular health status is. You will never get her on the phone, or receive a call back from her upon request, and you should, in her mind, at all times recognize and feel badly that you are imposing on her whenever and however you attempt to interact with her. Dr. Vanam will tailor her treatment to her own moods, or how she feels about you personally, not AMA best practices or anything so bothersome or (to her) inconvenient as prevailing medical standards. Have you been taking a very run-of-the-mill, commonly-prescribed medication at standard dosages for something basic like blood pressure or migraines for years, perhaps? She will change it up for no reason at all aside from, perhaps, her own boredom, and never mention it to you or ever ever - god forbid! - explain to you why she has made the change. You will just find out what has happened when, say, you notice a different color and shape of pill as you leave the pharmacy and suddenly read the label to find your long established and functional routine has unexpectedly been upended. The randomness and lack of respect can be crazy-making. But if you complain about anything at all to anyone, and she gets wind of it, Dr. Vanam will find creative ways to punish you. Be very clear, she does not care about you or your health except to the bare minimum extent she is required to pretend to do so in order to maintain her medical license. (I generally prefer female doctors and had one for almost two decades in another state whom I still miss sorely. But Dr. Vanam seems congenitally incapable of accessing within herself the sort of compassion for her fellow human beings that characterizes the best medical professionals and, indeed, most decent people. Her superciliousness and arrogance are much more in line with the kind of male surgeon some of you familiar with the health care system will recognize by type, who expects everyone to admire him almost to the point of paying tribute on a daily basis, and considers any hint of questioning of any pronouncement he makes the practical equivalent of denouncing God, your fellow man and all religion.) Mostly you will deal with Dr. Vanam's staff or PAs, who are generally efficient, knowledgeable and very nice, due evidently to the fact that human resources is managed by the group, not the individual doctors. But as to Dr. Vanam individually, you will hear way more often than you expect that she is on vacation and always that she is too busy (she runs an extremely full practice, with more patients than she can reasonably handle presumably because it is more remunerative that way ...) to stoop to interacting face to face or in real time with mere patients like you. (It is sort of like, "Silly patient to expect anything of the sort - little you and the important Doctor?!") She practices medicine mostly by means of referrals to specialists, which she does not manage personally, and which typically expose you, the patient, to delays of months each time as you wait to be seen, and sadly, quite often get messed up by staff inattention or insurance miscoding. While Dr. Vanam was "my" doctor, I tried mightily to be the ideal patient, endlessly patient, always friendly with staff, doing everything exactly as instructed, not making any quick judgments. But it got to the point where I wondered what Dr. Vanam actually did herself, if anything. It seemed as though others dealt with or resolved the problems Dr. Vanam's personal feelings or preferences, or simple 'forgettings,' created. She was never once, in almost a year's time, involved in prescribing a treatment or medication or handling any medical situation herself. I wasted truly crazy amounts of time with a series of incorrect referrals, referrals to specialists who each informed me they did not handle the kinds of medical work for which I had been referred.
