If I could give this place zero stars I would. Judy Miramontes is the least empathetic doctor I've met. Whatever you do, please find someone else. During my time with her, I wasn't receiving the care I needed. I avoided going to her at all costs because I would always leave upset. Some examples of her recent lack of empathy would be... I commented how I was happy with the weight I was losing (40 pounds since January) and she replied that my BMI was still in the twenties. Then, after finding a spot on my cervix and explaining what the next steps would be she asked me if I had all the babies I wanted already. Dr. John Erickson was the provider I was just treated by, and he was exceptionally kind and thorough during my urgent care visit. I was apprehensive to go to this place because of the reviews but must say I am pleasantly surprised by my treatment from front office staff to back in the treatment room. Dr offered to do extra testing that I didn't even know was available . He listened to all of my concerns and answered all of my questions appropriately and was absolutely the kindest! He managed to find a sample for me to utilize and spare me an extra expense at the pharmacy as well!! It was worth the extra 5 mile drive for me during this busy holiday season. read more

My complaint is not about my Physician, I have zero complaints about him or his assistant staff. My problem is with the girls at the front desk who are rude, unprofessional and talk over you on the phone. They make claims that are not true and are complete gate keepers when it comes to accessing your PA or people you need to speak with. They think their job is far more involved Than what it is, answering phones, setting and managing appointments and clerical work... Judy Miramaontes was my PCP since I was a teenager, I'm currently 29 and about two years ago I went to her asking for help because my kidneys hurt. She told me over and over again that I don't know where my kidneys are and it was muscular. She even asked me why I came to her for help instead of going to emergency. I have every single symptom of kidney disease and she had done NOTHING. She literally told me she wasn't going to help me. and on top of that she put into my chart that I have genital herpes?? I do not have genital herpes!! She's lost her damn mind. She is horrible at her job, incredibly rude, and gets mad when you ask her questions about your symptoms! The worst doctor literally ever. She will get sued one day and this establishment will go down with her. read more

If you want a doctor who doesn't care, is blunt and doesn't give you the right type of care then by all means go to her. I had been a patient of Dr. Aoki for over 25 years, was extremely happy with him. Several years ago I lost my job and insurance and was forced on medical aid. The business office manager was horrible. Basically kicked me to the curb with no suggestions or help. I received the most horrible letters from them regarding bills and they even threatened me with legal actions knowing I lost everything. Dr Miramontes was my primary doctor about 3 & 1/2 years ago before Covid. At that time she was a very caring, considerate doctor. Lost my medical insurance due to Covid & had to go on Medi-cal insurance which Peachwood does not accept. Fast forward 3 years and & i am now off medi-cal & have insurance with my new employer & I want to go back to see Dr miramontes because of the great experiance I had with her a few years back. Big MISTAKE!!!! I don't know what happened to the kind doctor I use to see, but this one is now very rude, talks down to you like you don't know what you are talking about. Don't bother calling and speaking with the administrator Sheri because she is just as rude as the docotor was. Stay as far away from this doctor & medical facility. Let me start out by saying this isn't the first negative experience I've had with Peachwood Medical. I came in on Tuesday after 3 days of what I thought was a really bad ear infection come to find out it's a ruptured eardrum. I waited two hours which is fine but it's the fact that they placed me in a room that a previous patient hadn't been checked out of yet and the gentleman asked me "is there anyone else here with you" and can clearly hear him talk among other staff about how they don't know where the initial patient went and who put me in the room. Disorganized is the best way to put it. When they finally did see me, the doctor I was given told me I had a ruptured eardrum took a good look at me and asked how I was feeling spiritually and how my relationship was with religion. This is totally uncalled for and made me extremely uncomfortable. She took advantage of the fact I came in alone to talk to me about spiritual healing when I'm in obvious pain from a ruptured eardrum. She asked if I go to church and that maybe I should be going. It's completely inappropriate when you're here to treat physical ailments not tell people they should find Jesus. And before she left she told me to remember that Jesus loves me and she's writing my prescription for antibiotics. This isn't the first instance of being judged by my physical appearance. In 2020 I came in for antibiotics again and was told by Dr. Brough that I needed to stay away from juices and suggested I eat quinoa to help with inflamed lymph nodes and given a nasal spray after seeing that I'm on the heavier side. It's doctors like these that make people afraid to come in and get help they need for physical injury and ailment. And to be frank its disturbing. Do better. read more

I originally saw Dr. Amitasha Mann and she was good for the most part. Her office staff is decent. I winded up having to see another Dr. There as she wasn't comfortable treating me for my diagnosis. I began seeing Dr. Rhymer. He's great but his staff is cold, unfriendly and disorganized. Waited several weeks for a med auth form to be filled out. Called admin and it got done in an hour. No apologizes from his staff. Dr. Rhymers staff make u feel like an inconvenience for coming there. You will wait over an hour to see him. I tried to go to another Dr. And had to deal with the office manger sandy who is rude as hell and was insensitive to my request then trying to get me to discuss my medical concerns in the lobby. I expressed my concerns with the practice and She said I can go to elsewhere. Wow! Overall poor service. Look for another practice cause this one is going downhill quick! read more

Had new insurance cards (3) and handed them to front desk only to find out months later they put my dental card and not my medical card on file. Was sent to collections by other lab facilities and they refuse to fix their mistake with the other facilities. Pretty shitty customer service from the administrator Cheri. Very rude, not understanding at all, not accommodating at all. Once my insurance goes through for this REbilling I will not be coming back. And please DO NOT tell me to contact Sheri. I have been coming here for the last year. Every time I leave Dr. Judy Miramontes office I cry. I am a 22 year old woman and she speaks to me like an incompetent child. I have two autoimmune diseases and a blood clotting mutation. I'm a high risk patient and she never even remembers my conditions. When I bring up concerns she often dismisses them or fights me on it. Because of the insurance I have I am forced to get all of my referrals and everything cleared through her since she is my assigned primary care physician. Truthfully I'm not looking for her personal or medical opinion. With the way she's been treating me, I quite frankly do not care what she has to say. I only see her for insurance purposes. However, that being said I feel forced to stay under her care because if I switch primary care doctors my previous referrals from her immediately become invalid and I have to stop receiving treatment for my diseases which could be damaging and life threatening. So it all just really sucks. She is extremely rude and I do not feel I am getting adequate care, but I'm also forced by my insurance to stay with her. If I could just even prevent one person from choosing this doctor. Peachwood itself is really 50/50 the staff is almost always sick and snotty. (Not great when your immunocompromised) it makes me not want to come in. Some staff members are nice and go above and beyond while others lose paperwork and don't answer the phones. If you leave a message expect a response about a week later. SO FRUSTRATING to work with. read more

I was extremely disappointed with Dr. Miramontes' bedside manner. I didn't feel acknowledged or respected as a patient/customer or even as a person. I felt like just a number. There was also a mixup with scheduling which was very inconvenient. I get that mistakes happen, but I felt that she completely invalidated my concerns. There was no empathy whatsoever and no attempt at service recovery. Had I been acknowledged and treated with more respect, I would have definitely returned to this provider. However, now I will be looking elsewhere. I've never had this issue before here. The only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the reception and MA staff were so sweet. read more

Billing through Peachwood is NOT transparent and definitely NOT done in a professional manner. They attempted to bill additonal charges 18 months after an office visit, well after all the initial charges had been paid. The billing department was clueless as to how a customer might see this as unacceptable. Wait times were very inconsistent and customer service in general was a roll of the dice. My worst wait time was 45 minutes after my appointment and it was as if they were doing me a favor when I was finally seen. If you like mystery billing and poor management in general then this is a place for you. :) I did like my doctor though. He was very good and the only reason I put up with the facility's ineptitude for as long as I did. read more

I waited till 745am thinking they'd show up. No one did. So I left and came back an hour later thinking I made a mistake. When I return I'm told my appt was for 750am. I explain to the "receptionist" I was here at 745am and she says she was here. Where? Hiding in the dark??? She insisted she was there at that time so I guess I'm a liar. Who shows up 5 min before your patients have an appointment? Even if I got the time off by 10 min you'd think they'd be there at the front desk earlier. Done with this place. Peachwood medical group is conveniently located just off Herndon in fresn. Its offices are spacious,which is great because you WILL be kept waiting even though you arrive on time for your appointment. The staff at reception is friendly and fast. Thats where it ends for the "good" part. The doctors i saw were cold and distant, rather uncommunicative, and stand-offish. They seem to have predetermined attitudes about you and your health state. My Dr. ,and many there do NOT prescribe narcotic pain medication even if it is the most efficient for many conditions. I'm not sure why they are this way but if you are a chronic pain patient and can prove that you're not some random drug seeking skeezer they ought to have some compassion and do their job. God forbid someone might accidentally feel better, be able to exercise, and regain appetite by working out and not feeling like you got hit by a bus because of it. In short, they are judgemental to a fault...and you as the patient get to pay for it, along with your copay. Stay away. If you go around them they may dismiss you from their practice with no explanation in their generic dismissal form letter. Find the right physician in the first place ny being honest and forthright about your condition(s). read more

I had an extremely poor experience within the urgent care at this facility. So negative, I felt compelled to go out of my way to write this even though my appointment was months ago. For starters, I couldn't believe how rude the women at the front desk were acting. Towards me, and all of the patients in the waiting room. To the point one of the woman in the back was staring at me intently with the worst look on her face as if I had did something wrong. I have no idea why. Most of the staff, not all, were standing around gossiping as I waited long periods of time to be called back. This behavior unfortunately continued even as I waited in my room. After the nurse reluctantly took my vitals, I was advised to put a robe on and wait for the doctor to come in and speak with me. Then I would be led back by someone soon after to begin my x-ray exam. As I continued to wait for an unreasonable amount of time, I began to think something wasn't right. So I decided to step out of my room to figure out what was the hold up, still in immense pain from my chest. To be met with a group of nurses still gossiping, along with the doctor that was supposed to be tending to me. One of the woman even looked at me while I was standing there, partially naked by the way, as I waited for them to finish their conversation. Just for one of them to tell me to go back to my room and continue waiting. It was absolutely ridiculous. All in all, it took them nearly three hours for the doctor that was working with me, who was also not very exceptional either, to come to the conclusion that there was essentially nothing wrong with me. She then blamed the medication I was taking to be the issue, and sent me on my way with no advice to ease the intense chest pain I was feeling. I went somewhere else after this horrible experience, and received the proper care I desperately needed. I only wish I remembered these people's names, I couldn't believe how poor their service was. Coming from someone who works at CRMC myself, this was unacceptable. I hope no other patient has had to endure such inadequate care. Took my very ill husband here last Friday. They ran a strep test, which came back negative and basically told him, Thanks for the $50 copay, you have a simple virus. Not even a prescription for cough syrup so he could get some decent rest. He can do his desk job from home but for HR purposes, needs a doctor's note that says he is physically able to work from home while recovering. They told him they didn't give out doctor's notes. He ended up in the ER today (6 days later) with pneumonia. Proper diagnosis as well as some medication and prescription cough syrup. Do your effing job correctly before you dismiss someone and kill them. Awful. read more

Had the need for a "get in quick" visit yesterday to see my Primary Care Physician, Harjagjit MaanMD. Spoke to Nadine on the phone who understood my need, and got me in to see my Doctor in just one hour. Then at my appointment, I had to remove my shoes. I asked if they might have a shoe horn to assist me in putting them back on. Doctor Maan said no, however he would assist me in getting my shoes on. Here is a man who is obviously very well educated who took the opportunity to meet my need, no questions asked. He could certainly have had one of his assistants help me, but took the task at hand. We went here because my husband was having excruciating stomach pains. He had to get a covid test in the back and the woman running the testing (a blonde older woman) was incredibly rude off the bat when she had to ask us to put on a mask. I had no problem putting one on but she was automatically annoyed and rude. I told her I didn't have one and she looked down at some so I grabbed one and she brusquely said "NOW YOU DO". She was automatically hostile and rude. This seems to be a common theme at this location. It's unfortunate that when people are at their worst and dealing with health issues, we have to also deal with a rude employee. It made everything worse. read more

I scheduled an appt 4 months prior to be seen for a physical and blood work. Appt was at 10:30 am, and I should preface this with the staff was very nice and helpful. Got my first time patient paperwork complete and then waited an hour and a half just to be placed in a room. That's right - an hour and a half - with an appointment. And the lady up front said she "hoped" my insurance covered this visit. 20 min later the doctor shows up and I said this was crazy and I'd be taking my business elsewhere. I don't know if they have no concept of scheduling, or are over booked with patients but this was unacceptable. read more

My kids have been with Dr. Martin since they were born and are now 10 & 12. Since he has retired, the office staff and doctors are definitely not the same with service and care. We had a simple request to have them sign physical sports form since her school misplaced it. We contacted their office and was told to drop off form and we would get it signed by the end of the week (Friday) and to pick it up at a specific time. We called the day before to check the status and was told they didn't know what form we were talking about and then found it after putting on hold for 20 min to look for the form we dropped off in person a few days before. Then we were told it would be ready since we dropped it off early in the week. When we went across town to pick it up the forms, the office was closed. They knowingly told us to pick it up even though they were closed. What a waste of time and energy as we were in contact with them frequently throughout the week to check on it. We have since left this medical practice. read more

A friend with the exact same insurance used the urgent care and was accepted at an office with no problem. I called reception-had to wait 3 days for a call back for someone to approve our insurance. I've heard nothing but complaints on this feed and I have no complaints whatsoever Dr Smith is by far the best Dr I've ever had in my entire life she is always on top of me she make sure I do my bloodwork she always checks on me she always make sure that my medication is helping me she text me every three months to make sure that I'm doing okay on my medication I've never had a problem with her with the staff with anybody I don't understand why everybody is having this issue with all the other doctors maybe I just got the best Dr out of the whole entire building but Dr Smith is by far the most kindest and the best Dr I've ever had in my entire life and I could not complain and I hope that I never lose her! It also seems to me that people are upset that they can't get narcotics prescribe to them you have to go through a very large process to get that prescribed it to you you have to go through physical therapy and pain management also there is other things that you have to do before you will even be eligible and if don't do those requirements you can't get anything prescribed to you so I don't understand why people think it's okay for them to ask for a narcotic and expect the doctor to just write it out to you which is most likely the reason why they are hesitant! People die from abusing medication. That's blood on there hands so let theM figure out the problem with you and let them decide if you need the medication after all else fails! read more

I've been a patient here for years. I've always found my doctor to be smart, well informed, and kind. Her medical assistant is also great, and efficient in handling issues and returning calls. The issue is getting through via a phone call. My average wait time has increased over the years and is currently a minimum of 9 minutes of holding before I am asked what I need. Then is immediately followed by several more minutes of holding. An average call, even to just leave a message for my doctor is 30 to 40 minutes. I recently addressed this with their office manager. She gave me these reasons for my wait. 1. The operator position is hard to fill (current person is new and training) 2. My doctor primarily sees elderly, and you know how slow they are in communicating (her words). 3. This is a normal response time for any office. She then said she has children my age, and I remember waiting that long when phoning their pediatrician. Ok, it's been 30 years, things should improve. All this was communicated in a condescending tone. She ended the call by saying, 'I can't talk any longer, I have a meeting with a medical assistant'. Call was just under 5 minutes. Unprofessional, to say the least. I did suggest hiring more than one person to run the phones (it's a multi doctor practice), or adding email access to doctors and medical assistant. She replied that that would never happen. They are happy with the system they have now. I then mentioned many local offices have it and it may help draw more people in. Yes, I like my doctor, but I am unsure I like her enough to stay. If this is the person running things then I see no hope for improvement, especially with that attitude. read more

My primary care physician was there for a year and he was okay but I'll tell you NEVER did I get seen at my appointment time it was ALWAYS at least an hour over. Now the urgent care sucks!!! Went in after not being able to get an appointment with my PCP and the nurse was very rude in regards to a question she asked about a procedure I had had and the doc did not listen to a word I said.....had to remind her three times that I had had a hysterectomy and that during my exam she was not going to feel my uterus. I have read many of the posts about Peachwood Medical Group. You folks are right on with the attitude and staff. I got the letter that Maan was no longer my doctor 3 times. The excuse is I am a bad patient because I had to cancel 3 times because my grandson was around me after transporting Covid patients. They tell you to inform them but when you do the letter comes. I also got a letter saying I owed money. So I called my insurance and they said Peachwood needed to send the bill again. Well obviously they are too stupid to do so and now say I owe a balance. A visit, 2 co-pays and a no show.I have my receipts for all co-pays and showed the girl at the counter the receipts but she is a recording, well thats what it says. Not a brilliant human. That text we get to let us know about our appts. if you hit it, its goes to a e-mail address which I e-mailed. The genius at the counter says we dont have a e-mail. Listen genius if you hit the text it gives you info and a e-mail. When it comes to sending a bill a 2nd time well I cant help you there. Hey Kenny J. (Business Customer Service) the administrator Sheri does not take this seriously. If she did she would not hire incompetent staff. They refused to see my wife without a negative COVID test, and yet won't provide one. How do you operate a medical facility and not have some Abbott BinaxNow tests on hand? What a joke. Absolutely disgusting. Me and my sister were racially profiled and kicked out for "not wearing masks" when we had them on the entire time. The security guard lady kept asking my sister to pull her mask up and she did and complied. She came back again and threatened to kick her out and i stepped in and told her to stop harassing us and then she threatened to kick me out too. She and the staff started walking us out and the cops were called. The racist white security guard lady simply did not like us and kicked us out. Cops came they didn't really care either. This security guard needs to be terminated. Never had an issue with this place until now. Never coming back. Miserable staff and a racist security guard. Ps. Went to another urgent care after all this and suspiciously i was told my insurance card was suspended so i had to get blue cross on the phone to talk to one of the staff members for denying me service there since its an active insurance card. I went to this urgent care before I went to Willow Urgent care (by far the best in town) care, and this is the 3rd of 4th time that I tgried giving this place a chance as this is so close to our house. 4 out of 4 this place is awful. The clerks upfront are very inconsiderate, and curt, no personality, nor compassion. The nurses or medical assistants are not even putting an effort to be pleasant to my sick 3 year old, that by the way has been waiiting for almost 3 hours, with fever and vomitting. I made the mistake of thinking an urgentcare is better than an ER because we are not trying to take up medical bed space for the real sick ones that need them. At one point before, I took my mom who is in her 70's at Clovis ER and was seen and treated wu=ithin the 3 hour time frame we would have spent waiting at Peachwood. Now that we found Willow Urgent Care, we will never set foot in this truly frustrating place that is supposed to minister to the sick, and help ;eople, because the doctors are included, were always rushed and do not wait for the explanation of how and when.
